If The Americans Had Built Keane In A Lab...

Fraser McAlpine | 14:08 UK time, Monday, 16 June 2008

...this is probably what they would sound like.

Melee - 'Built To Last'

Strange how the mind turns. Last week I was SURE this sounded like an over-steroided American McFly, now I can only hear Keane. Who knows what I'll be claiming it sounds like tomorrow!

I have to admit, when I first heard this song I thought Click Five, too. And I like the Say Anything reference at the end of the video...very cool. Will wait to see what else these guys come up with. They could be great.

Yup, I said Keane on my blog just a few days ago, and at first couldn't hear anything else.

Now you've mentioned McFly though, I heard it again this morning - yup, I can hear Dougie (or is it Danny. They're all the same too me - sorry guys) singing it.

Have to see if I can spot Click Five next time I listen...

Melee? As in "hitting you with something offensive". When did bland early 70's pop become all the rage? I've been in a coma since the early 70's and expected the world to change. Switch off the machine nurse. Now!!!
