Delays - Colin arrowed

Thanks to Alanis and her vague interpretations of the word ironic, the descriptive word for a state of things where the outcome of an event is the opposite to what was expected, only in a really pointed sort of way, has been a hotly debated topic.

Nevertheless, if you're in a band called the Delays, and you're half an hour late for an interview, I tend to think that qualifies, don't you?

Also, if you're Colin from the Delays, and the interview can only take place over the phone, and your interviewer - me - has lost his voice, well that's close enough too, surely? And then when he tries to explain his vocal problems to you, you say "sorry, can you say that again?"... and then he finds himself over-explaining some of his questions...well you get the picture.

Isn't that ironic? YES, WHAT OF IT?

Or download the mp3 version of this interview*...

Here's the dreamy video for 'Hooray', which is out on April 28th...

('Destination Calabria' in a toy shop, anyone?)

Delays are also available in website form...
And MySpace form...
