I loved anything creative – making, painting, drawing - I was always making things.

As the eager, quiet and polite one – the one who always put her hand up!

Saying goodbye to my mum and crying but then playing in the sand pit and loving it!

I loved it when we had to draw pictures or paint.

Being the class clown and always wanting to be heard!

Katy Ashworth:
What can you remember about starting school?

I remember the dance club. It was so fun and exciting, everyone would get together and dance to fantastic songs and I loved it. I also remember being a bit sad because my big brother was in the junior school which was ALL THE WAY on the other side of the field!

What was your favourite activity in reception class?
I loved messy painting, and cooking of course.

How do you think your first teacher would remember you?
Always getting distracted!

As a parent yourself, how did you cope with your child’s first day at nursery?
He cried, I cried and it was very very hard indeed! But it got better over time.
