Animal magic
It may well be the most influential album ever released but it's Pet Sounds of a different kind that concerns us on tonight's Get It On. Ian Lyall has suggested songs about cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters and whatever else folk might keep in the house.
It's a punner's delight tonight and already Gaie from Greenock has come up with Mutt The Hoople and Bunny Raitt! It's only the start....'Tulips From Hamster Jam' has just been suggested and Jim in Humbie has asked to hear something by our own Fred MacCollie! Marty H thought that Jimmy Shand's Bluebell Polecat might make it to the show.
Best laugh so far has come when Joe on the M8 asked if we could play a song for his pet ferret. We've had Ferret Cross The Mersey, Bryan Ferret and Roxy Music and thanks to all who texted in suggesting Glen Daly singing "Ferrets a grand ol' team to play for..."

I didn't get a chance to hear the second hour of the show but wondered if anyone had called in with "the ferret song" by John Cleese (it's on an album called "a Pye in the face" - humorous songs on the Pye label.
PS - most enoyable show as always!

Johnny Morris was the man.
It was the only nature programme on the box where you were guaranteed NOT to see a lion chasing a wildebeest in the Serengheti, like all others.
