Sarah Palin, meatballs, Leonard Cohen and the BBC make particularly odd bedfellows but they are among the most searched for terms on Google in 2008.
The search engine has just published The Google Zeitgeist for 2008 and some of it is 'zeitzy' I don't even know what it is. For instance who or what is a 'friv'??? Turn out it's an online gaming thing.
The fastest rising foodie items turn out to be cupcakes, meatballs and then surprisingly lemon posset making it into the top ten. Strange...
Not as strange as next door where Richard Gordon is presenting Sportsound while wearing a woolly hat and scarf. On the sports news I've just heard that 'freezing conditions have disrupted the football calendar'. Didn't realise it meant in the studio as well...

I confess it's not a word with which I am familiar, but according to Collins English Dictionary:- n. a drink of hot milk curdled with ale, beer, etc. flavoured with spices, formerly used as a remedy for colds. (of unknown origin).

I've been pestering Mr. Zycinski with demands for a repeat of 'Bampot Central' but he claims to be tied up in red tape. (I assume it's a Polish thing).
I feel sure that if you exerted your considerable influence we could resolve this difficulty to everyone's satisfaction.

Is he not supposed to be perched up on some sort of precarious...well perch at a football stadium during the show. I feel cheated having radiated sympathy over the years. Hes watching on the telly!!
