the Hog 'glam' ay party...
NOW SOLD OUT!!!!!!!
I reckon that the thought of Robbie Shepherd paying tribute to the pixie prince of glam rock is all the enticement I need to offer to get you to come to our Hogmanay show party this year. However, there will also be dancing to the sound of the Black Rose Ceilidh band and T-Rex tribute band, Hot Love!
There is the bonus of 'mince pies and crisps' as my producer Barbara mentioned last night. I know - BBC hospitality at it's most legendary.
If you'd like free tickets then here's how to go about it:
Log on to bbc.co.uk/tickets and choose Scotland from the drop down menu
Or you can call 0370 9011227. Calls cost up to 8p per minute from a BT line - other operators and mobiles may vary. Tickets are limited to 4 per person.
We're on air from 10 til 1pm on the night with doors opening at 9pm.

Sound like fun. I wish I was closer and could do it, but I'm on the other side of the pond. :)

If you walk down Whittingham Drive you come via Anniesland.

Glen - I used to live around there... Isn't it Whittingeham? Long time since I moved away from those parts but I have visited regularly over the years... I used to walk through Anniesland as a nipper every day on my way to school via Kelvindale. :-)

It could be Whittinghame. I used to live around there too. I used to go to the Gaumont.

Wow - I have great memories of Doug Mclure movies there... ;-) Nice chippy round the corner still there - and I was in Catani's recently. The barber where I got my hair cut on the opposite corner is gone now though...

I can remember loving the Buck Rogers shorts shown before the main feature, and being able to sit there and watch it all again twice if you wanted! :-)

Not that I loved Buck Rogers' actual shorts though... I mean, he was manly and all - but not in that way...

Sound like a good laugh. I wish I was closer and could do it, but in Germany at the moment, getting Treatment for Tonsil Stones[Unsuitable/Broken URL removed by Moderator] can't wait to get back next Tuesday.
