One of our personal highlights at the London Mela was the electrifying performance by Javed Ali. It's amazing to see Javed singing live to a crowd that went wild.

Not many people know that Delhi born Javed was trained under the strict classical school by none other than the legendary Ghulam Ali - and Javed changed his surname to Ali to honour his mentor. Bollywood discovered Javed through music directors Kalyan AnandJi and persuaded him to try his luck in the industry.

After singing jingles and songs for soaps Javed came to fame after the super hit Jab We Met - where he dueted with Sonu Nigam. He is now one AR Rahman's favourite singers!   Young energetic Javed just rocked the mela with hits like Nagada Nagada and Guzarish and the amazing thing was that he really holds in own in a live environment.

Make sure you catch one of the most talented Bollywood playback singers on the red button this week.

Love Us, Love Bollywood
