    Comment number 1.

My Great Grandfather was a water bailiff and gamekeeper to the Lloyd-Verneys having served under Sir Harry who was his commanding officer in the Royal Hampshire Regiment. My Great-great Aunt took much pleasure in telling us about the Prince's stay and claimed to have played with him during his time there.
The Clochfaen has special significance for me as a result of my family's connections and is an idyllic place to stay now it has been masterfully restored to its former glory by the current owners.
A stay in its many self-catering options or the B&B is highly recommended.
