Hold the front page! Team Ri-Ro (Riley and Robin) are officially the couple to beat. Lisa even managed to tame Craig, "YOU. CAN. DANCE", was his refrain.

Our first Strictly weekend has even seen a few seachanges, a new judge, a female-to-male lift and even Bruno seems to have been hanging around Craig to long, Daaarrrrrllliinng! So here's those all-important scores on the floors in full.

There's something not quite right with the scoring when Nicky & Karen get the same score as Johnny Ball.... I know it was because of the lift, but even if Nicky and Karen had had one point more (had they not 'lifted)' it would have put them level with Jerry & Anton, which again doesn't seem right. Both Johnny and Jerry were on the low side, movement wise, whereas Nicky wasn't.

Week 1, Show 2 - I must be the only one that was failed to be wowed by Lisa & Robin. I cannot fault Robin, but Lisa danced very little and is top of the leaderboard! I find it almost unbelievable! I'm all for dance and I want dance.

My best dance of the night was Kimberley & Pasha, absolutely stunning.

Surprise of the night, Sid. What a transformation. Ola's mantra, "I can make anybody a dancer!" is very true. Well done Ola.

For entertainment Jerry & Anton I found hilarious! She has all the moves and content wasn't that bad.

Oh dear .... I really hope Brucie watches the first show when he gets home and realises he is no longer up to the job. It was probably one of the most cringeworthy programmes I've ever seen. Bruce, for many years you have been the host with the most but it is now time to step down. You cant see the auto cue, your timing has gone, so many mistakes it really is an embarrassment. As the series progresses it is only going to get worse. Please step down NOW !

Hello everyone. It's back! It's been worth waiting 12 months for and I'm sooooo excited. Barcy Dussell is fantastic. Anton is having fun. Just FAB BBC I think this is going to be such a great great year for SCD. Good luck everyone. I think it is going to be as good as the Olympics. I know that you are not going to win Anton but your still my favourite xxx

Celticwarrior69 - I could'nt agree with you more. He kind of ruins the show. Should have retired ages ago. Quite suprisingly - I really loved the shows and all the partnerships are entertaining in their own way. I just love Anton and if Jerry can forget her supermodel status and get down and dirty I think she could be really quite good! And as for Robin - Oh my oh my oh my ...

I agree with StrictlySteven I could not see why Lisa and Robin went top they should have been in the middle of the pack it was very strange I agreed with the rest of the voting.

I am no student of the points of dance and probably know more about women than dancing, and that is saying something, so can someone please tell me, ideally before I have a complete mental breakdown, where Riley's extra two marks over Walsh came from? Where the extra point from Craig and from Darcy came from? Matter of fact where did the same 7's we saw from Len and Bruno that were awarded to Walsh come from?

Riley's may have been 'fun' but for me it lacked content. She had good footwork moves but was totally bereft in the standard moves we expect to see from the dance that Walsh of course managed to demonstrate with supreme aplomb.

I love it - Strictly is back and controversy already! Was Lisa right to be top of the board, is Brucie up to it!

Personally I think Lisa deserved her place she had obviously put a lot of work in and there is no denying that there are those out there who just want to see the biggar lady fail - I say go Team Lisa!

As for Brucie - Strictly without Brucie is like Strawberries without cream - its Tess I can't stand she gets more fawning each season and what was she wearing! Give Zoe or Claudia a chance!

Sir Brucie is magic. As much as I adore Strictly, Bruce helps to make it as special and as classy as it is, he could never be replaced. His jokes are almost always sharp and on it. The chemistry with Tess is priceless - best partnership on TV, probably ever.

I'm liking Darcy. She knows her stuff and she brings an element of elegance & sophistication, yeah? She will grow in the role as time goes by, yeah? She's a class act, she fits in with the show, ok. I have nothing but praise & applause for Darcy and I welcome her to the show, ok.

Ok, really that is ridiculoso! VP below JOHNNY BALL? ok, yes she forgot the steps, but she was a CLASS DANCING ACT! when matt di angelo forgot his steps he did not get nearly as low scores-even though he sat down on the stairs and didn't finish! it is an OUTRAGE! GO TEAM BRENDLETON!!!!!!!!!!1

Good show last night, better than Friday.

Brucie - on better form from the start.

Tess - apparently dressed up to dance a Paso Doble.

Craig - less severe demeanor and so better.

Darcey - not so many yahs thank goodness. Still not sure about her as a judge, her voice is nasal and low, not an ideal T.V. voice.

Enjoyed all the dances, everyone has some talent or is likeable enough. Much better celebs than last year. Lisa deserved to be top but was that an illegal lift at the end? Jerry & Anton were very funny, I liked the routine as well.

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. Just taking time to pen a few comments about last night's show. Really enjoyed all the contributions made by the celebs and their dancing partners. I thought the standard quite good for the first week.
As others have said I was really impressed with Sid and Ola. Very graceful and convincing in the romantic waltz; Louis and Flavia ware terrific and I think he will only get better in the coming weeks; Lisa and Robin,so much fun, but was also surprised at Craig's mark of 8. I think we need to keep an eye on this lady. I for one, hope she does well. It's good to see positive role models for "traditionally built" females.
I had to agree with Salsamouse comment about team Brendleton. I know she forgot a lot of the routine, but what she did do looked far better than Johnny. However, I do admire him for having a go at 74. It Takes Two should be interesting on the night Zoe "interviews" her dad!

Regarding the point made my Salsamouseno1, whilst Victoria is indeed rated much higher than Johnny is, I don't think that fact means she automatically merits a higher standard of mark. I am of the opinion she has to earn her high marks and fact is whilst she will be the one to beat this year she didn't perform well.

That said I do think the difference maker was Darcy. Len, Craig and Bruno's combined scores have them level till it comes to Darcy. Darcy gave Victoria that mark less than the mark awarded to Johnny that put Johnny on 17 and Victoria on 16.

i love strictly very much, but Friday was dreadful i'm sorry to say, because of Bruce . He said the
show was running a bit late, could i be so bold as to suggest he stops talking so much, some of the judges did not comment on one of the dancer's, but he was still allowed to waffle on.
