Week 3 (Strictly Does Hollywood): What you've been saying

BBC Strictly Gemma BBC Strictly Gemma Online team

There are so many ways to get in touch with Strictly Come Dancing this year. We have the official BBC blog, the Official Strictly Facebook and Twitter feeds, pintrest, instagram just to name a few.

We love sifting through your ALL comments. The good, the bad AND even the ugly ones. So much so that we've decided to showcase a few of the best from over the live weekends. So without further ado, let's see what you have been saying this week about Strictly Come Dancing.

First up, we had this great picture sent in from Lolam aged 7, who has called her new Guinea pigs Len and Bruno.

Bruno and Len

Then there has been much love for all our couples;

Team KiwiGB

PoshFrockAndFeatherBoag said "nicely done Queen Victoria! A bit stiff but acted well. Stupid dress getting in the way" where mollie5555 thought that "Victoria messed up way before the dress issues. Really like her though"

What do you think? Watch their routine again and see if things went wrong before the wardrobe malfunction took place.

Team Ton and Jerry

bruce42 thought that "Jerry moved more than she has all seriees, not necessarily in the right places but it is a start" while Strictly fan Kathy Holsgrove just went for the one word to describe Jerry... "different!"

What do you think? Watch their routine again to see if Jerry did move more than ever this series.

Team Ferrari

Jacqui Bush just had the one thing to say about Fern and Artem tonight... "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (funnily enough spell checker doesn't seem to have that one listed!). Alayne Fawkes told us that his "3 year old boy had now watched Fern's dance 8 times in a row." Wow, that's a lot of Mary Poppins. We're glad he's liking the routine though.

What did you think? Watch Fern and Artem perform their Charleston again and again and again and again and.... Then you can join the 8 viewed crew as well.

Team Pasherley

After a shakey performance last week, fans really got behind Kimberley. SH_Coleman said "lovin Kimberley Walsh on BBC Strictly looking beautiful! And great dancing!" with frankynix86 agreeing "wow nimble Kimble! So beautiful"

Kimberley certainly made an impression on these fans but what about you? Watch their quickstep routine again

Team Vanjam

JackiHicks commented, saying "Denise and James so good! Strictly Come Dancing costume department have done brilliant job tonight" while clairegrigor commented to us saying "my 4 year old just walked in and saw TV and said 'mum that's Woody dancing. He's from Toy Story. They are good"

Do you agree with clairegrigor's son? Watch Denise and James perform their foxtrot again and decide for yourself.

Team Erick

Richard and Erin bounced back from being in the bottom two in week 2 and won over you at home as well as the judges. mapheaven said "he was a lot better this week. Even Craig liked it" and we all know that in itself is quite the accomplishment. geordiegirl83 thought that "Richard Arnold looks like Harry Potter in those glasses"

I can see what you mean! What do you think? Watch Richard and Erin perform their quickstep again to see perhaps a preview into Harry Potter's later life

Team Smurf

Here's Dani and Vincent with a picture sent in of the dancing duo, drawn by Eilidh aged 5.

Dani and Vincent with Eilidh aged 5

Dani and Vincent made the nation quite emotional when they performed their foxtrot. DANCE_IN_PUBLIC thought that "Dani danced that beautifully. Actually brought a tear to my eye" while MarketingGeni commented, saying "can't believe there's a real Toto on BBC Strictly."

Well believe it and as further proof, check out when our online presenter Nikki Dean went backstage to meet the true star of Hollywood week.

Team Ri-Ro

Lisa was back to a latin routine and hall_tl said "Lisa you are FAB U LOUS! Love watching you" while Susan Hunter commented, "great dance. Great legs!"

We agree with you Susan. Check out Lisa's luscious legs in the jive they performed in week 3

Team Kanicky

Nicky and Karen finally had some positive feedback from our judges which seemed to please Debbie Hall; "well done Nicky it was nice to see you get some good judges comments this time." David kirby's comment was short but sweet; "SMOKIN NICKY. Excellent."

Why not watch Nicky dressed as The Mask once again and let us know whether you thought he was indeed smokin'?

Team Howznat

The Strictly social-verse seemed to be split with regards to Michael and Natalie's performance. redls52 thought that it was "awkward but he did try. Better than last week" whereas Louise James just thought that the "best bit was when he nearly fell off the chair!!"

Were you bowled over by Michael and Natalie's cha cha cha?

Team Colina

Colin and Kristina performed to a James Bond theme which left a lot of you out there like Karen Nicol. She was "shaken, stirred and wanting more!" While Rossana Dowsett needed to cool down by "taking a cold shower!"

How did the performance leave you feeling? Watch it again to see if you were shaken or stirred

Team Flouia

First up, we've had a lovely picture of Flavia sent in from Charlotte aged 6. We were so impressed with those artistic skills, we printed it out and gave it to Flavia.

Flavia with Charlotte's picture

Kees thought that "Louis again a nice performance. We are impressed. But we missed the joy and fun needed to do a smoking salsa" whereas Carrie Stanley commented, saying "Flavs and Louis were living my dream! He was more Patrick Swayze than the man himself"

Which side of the fence are you on? Hot or not? Watch Louis and Flavia's performance again and judge for yourself.

The Results

The sensational opening pro dancer routine had you all hooked on the Hollywood results show. Karen Linley thought that it was an "awesome opening to the show. Bit of glamour and very Hollywood."

We lost our second couple of Strictly 2012 and this is what you had to say;

Jonathan Gilbert thought that "the wrong couple left" while Busflower said, "sniff, sniff, sniff! So sorry for Anton" and Andreabolton also felt the same sadness, saying "so sad to see Jerry and Anton leave tonight. I loved them."

It certainly won't be the same here at SCD-HQ without the glamourous Jerry Hall and always dapper Anton Du Beke but thank you for all of your comments throughout the weekend.

Don't forget you can always send your questions into It Takes Two for all of our Strictly stars. Remember to include your name and location and they might just appear on the show!

Not happy that ANTON has gone!!!!!

BBC you have done Hollywood but why didn't you do classic Hollywood?

There is such a lot of variety of music from films from the past that I trhink you missed
the boat in using some of it!!!!!

I hate the Anton gets a duff every year. I also hate these theme weeks. The pros seem not to dance but to just play with toys each week. I mean, some of the 'hollywood' was actually originally broadway!.

RE Victoria: I truly cannot see a stuff up 'way before' the dress issues. Brendan had to help her with something catching on her heel at the beginning, after he slides her across the floor. I thought she did a lovely job of remembering everything until that moment when he twirls her around and she hesitates about which way she is going. She is emoting beautifully in my humble opinion. I felt it, anyway! There is a vulnerability about her which is both beautiful and sad.

V disappointed at judges' decision re Anton & Jerry. Didn't think either of them was very good, but at least Jerry was not very good at doing a lot of steps, and Michael was poor at doing nothing.

Spotted Great British Bake Off winner, John, in the audience. Who did he have to bake for to get those tickets? I do a mean Goats Cheese and Sweet Chilli Tart!!...

I am not at all happy that the audience seems out of control. You have a singing mega-star on, but her song was all but drowned out by the clapping and wooping and cheering. Spoilt it completely for both of us.

I am really disappointed with the judges decision to drop Jerry and Anton tonight, Jerry Hall might not be a good dancer, but she is far better than Michael Vaughan, I think that decision was very unfair.

Not disappointed to see Jerry Hall going, if you boast to the press that you're only doing the minimum obligated hours for training, and you don't care if you win or lose...you still get paid, then you get what comes your way. As for Anton, it was nice to see him dancing with Erin and then Tom during the Top Hat intro to the results show...please, please Dearest BBC...give him a partner next year who has some chance at dancing...Ann, Nancy and Jerry in a row...give him a break for goodness sake!

A great show we really hope to enjoy with a great professional orchestra, well rehearsed and whose timing is precise, include real ability in singing star Dionne Warwick and the dancers but then we get this continuous inane clapping. I can understand it probably adds to the euphoria to those in the studio but really distracts and detracts from the viewers’ experience at home.
With respect, this is not a karaoke after a wedding reception. I know you provide professional seriously crafted entertainment, and please accept this is a view from the other side of the television.

I am so annoyed about the dance Denise and James did. Woody and Jessie were never a couple, it was Woody with Bo-Peep and Buzz with Jessie. Also Jessie was not in Toy Story she first appeared in Toy Story 2. Jessie is always in her cowgirl costume with red hair plated at the back, she has never had her hair in bunches or worn any other kind of outfit.

I am sorry to say that I was wrong in saying Jerry deserved to go. Having watched the dance off I am shocked that Michael was saved and not Jerry. It was a crazy decision. Neither Michael nor Jerry danced well but at least Jerry had an idea of what she was supposed to be doing. Micheal was appalling and I don't understand why he was saved. Enough said. I am off to bed. Goodnight to all the REAL dance fans.

I want to start a campaign to lock the cameraman that runs round the dancers in a BBC cupboard and to throw away the key!

This ridiculous camera angle that we are subjected too at every couples performance is very off putting. I want to watch the dancing not feel like the the room is spinning.

Its about time the general public cottoned on to Denice Van Outon she knows all about dance and as been trained all we saw of the training on Sat was her playing about and Darcy Bussell let slip last week that she was a Professional Dancer

Was that Iveta dancing with Pasha during the Dionne Warwick song? WOW!!!!! The best partnership on SCD ever!!!!! More pro dancing like this please. The guys are excelling themselves this year. Ditch the guest acts and let's see more of the real talent.

Just thought I'd add my voice to the people irritated by the audience noise. It might sound good in the studio but on TV it drowns everything else out and is really intrusive.

Always sad to someone go, but I do think the right two were in the dance off and it was a tough call as both couples made mistakes.
I must agree with Danceknight about Pasha and Iveta, well choreographed and performed, one of the best professional performances of the series so far.
Looking forward to next weeks show. All the best to the remaining couples, keeep dancing

So, Denise tops the leader board again. Still more proof that her dance experience makes her head & shoulders above the rest. How dispiriting must it be for the other celebrities who work so hard for their scores? As Tiptoe22 says the film of her "training" was all messing around & frivolity.
    Such a shame!

Good news is that Sir Bruce is taking a holiday
Bad news it's only a week!
His performance is getting worse with each episode
    Terrible timing
    Embarrassing hesitation
He is letting the whole show down
God bless Tess for putting up with him

I totally agree with 'Darcyfan' & 'Tiptoe22'. Denise should not be allow to compete in SCD. She is a dancer by trade and is always going to get scores from the judges. It is not fair for the other competitors. I think she should bow out and let the others carry on as they are all truly learning how to dance from scratch.

I would like to a add my comments about two of the above. First the cameraman running around the floor - whilst I agree it can be frustrating I am also at a loss as to why two cameras are not used - one just focused on the footwork of the dances so the people at home can see what the judges see and comment on. I can't believe this hasn't been suggested before - is there a reason? Second something has got to be done about Bruce Forsyth, this Saturday yet again there was not time for all the judges to comment on every dance - surely as this is a 'dance show' Bruce should be the person who is cut not the judges. Then there his constant talking while the judges are talking - even though Len did comment - someone at the BBC must realize this is not acceptable and how it makes the programme look unprofessional - if the BBC are worried about ratings then something needs to be done about him ASAP.

I love SCD but rarely have I felt so incensed as I did last night. Although not a great fan of Ms Hall I truly believe her dance off was superior to Mr Vaughan's and she should have gone through to next week.
