Morning all. Grey and cold but coffee good and child3's missing laptop discovered under piles of clothes. So all ok then.
Enjoyed the Please please Me songs yesterday, it was a great atmosphere at Abbey Road; hustle bustle, engineers and musicians running everywhere and all those memories. Everywhere you look there are photos of classic artists looking like, well classic artists in heroic, musical poses. Ian Broudie told me a story about a time in the 70's when there was a clear out of old Abbey Road mixing desks and was offered one of the ones that was used in the Beatles day. His for a grand if he took it-it was getting in the way. He never took them up on the offer and it later went for £500,000! Thats £500,000! That's going to hack you off for a while I'd have thought. Anyway, some fine tunes still available online if you want to hear some of those tunes again.

Hope you enjoyed the book club choice-intereseting discussion on yesterday's blog about some of the issues brought up by The Universe versus Alex Woods. It's one of those tales that stays with you I think. Our next is WOOL by Hugh Howey, a Matrix-like slice of sci-fi which will big news I think.

Today's plans are up in the air somewhat (guests eh?) but lets do SHROVE TUESDAY/PANCAKE DAY songs. Raymond Blanc has set the tastebuds a tingling already so let's see what seasonal tunes you select.

Have an enterprising and fruitful Tuesday. See you at 5.

Good morning Simon, team and flippin' poppets.

Every Shrove Tuesday I say to myself 'we should really have pancakes more often' and yet it will be the first time I have made them in a year again tonight. Just lemon and sugar here - simple but the best :)

#1 Heehee - I got a 'profanity alert' when I tried to post - hence the capitalised replacement word ..

In other news - it's unbearably sad that Trevor, the Fisherman's Friend, has also lost his fight for life following that tragic accident in Guildford. I stagestewarded their slot at Larmer Tree last year - fine fellows all. RIP.
