Life can often be a let-down if you live in Walford, but Max and Jack are feeling more deflated than usual when someone starts meddling with their motors. Who could that be, we wonder?

Max and Jack

When a smug Carl arrives at the scene Max is convinced he is the culprit. Has he been sticking the knife in?

Max, Jack and Carl

Meanwhile, on the allotment, Jean and Ollie are on a stakeout to catch a vegetable thief. Who do you think will turnip? Um, we mean turn up?! And being confined in such close quarters, will they stay as cool as cucumbers or find that it's the recipe for romance?

Ollie and Jean

Lauren is worried about Abi and decides to organise a party to celebrate her exam results despite objections from the boys. Abi arrives at her surprise party but she doesn’t give Lauren the reception she hoped for.

Jay, Dexter, Lola, Lauren and Abi

When Jay pushes to know why she is in a bad mood, Abi gives him a pizza her mind and blurts out the truth - she didn’t get the grades she needs to go to university. Lauren overhears and when Abi realises, she tells her sister that it is all her fault.

Jay, Lauren and Abi

All this and more will be on your screens from Monday 19th August.

Lauren makes me sick. She has managed to ruin a lot of lives, just like her dad. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Good thing Tanya left, living in Walford has to be one of the most miserable experiences. Nothing like a good, old Walford Christmas to put you in the mood. Just finished watching EastEnders 1987, god those were good, they made everyday life exciting. They need to bring in families that they are going to keep. They need to make Sharon more central to the show, kind of like Pauline and Pat were.

Ollie and Jean catch Mo stealing the veg! About time she returned. And I recently said I hadn't seen her since Derek turned up. But. I now remember her visiting Pat neat the time of her death. And when Pat died, Mo cried (Poet and I didn't know it) and had Pat's Little Miss Butlins sache.

Tonight's episode was the first one since its downfall, that left me thinking the show was picking itself back up. Lauren's acting was rather good and Joey squaring up to Carl added some excitement.

fearne_cotton ive wrote back to one of your comments on another blog and I will say it again .The blogs are for people / fans to voice there own personal opinions and I will continue to do so ,funny how I am not the only one who thinks the show has gone down hill the viewing figures speak for them selves plus the amount of people who have wrote on other sites [digital spy, twitter ] saying the same . considering your so interested I am a true fan of the show that's why I have continued watching and care when it is not on top form

    How stupid is PILKY,
Mo has been in a lot of the episodes since Pat's death, she rented Derek her house.
I wish you people would only comment on what is actual, not your mind's wanderings. Watch the show and you will see Mo.

Just a tad rude. I wasn't offending anyone. Merely wandering, like you said. I'll try and only comment things that suit you next time.

Agree with pilky. Mo hasn't been in a lot of episodes recently. I'm not so sure if this started when Derek arrived... but the last episode I remember Mo in is when she was complaining about Alice being late on her rent.

Jealousy is a dish best served cold! Carl is jealous that Max and Kirsty have got back together and seem to be happy. So he decides to get revenge the only way he knows how, though now he has managed to make an enemy of Jack not a wise move Carl, as in case he's forgotten Jack is a former copper, and still has mates in the force. Carl's days on the Square could be numbered, as Jack will want to teach him a lesson that he won't forget! Meanwhile Jean and Ollie plan a stake out down at the allotment to catch the phantom vegetable thief, haven't they realised that the thief might have pointed ears and hop around rather like a rabbit? OMG! This could be very funny to watch.

Lauren decides to throw Abi a party to celebrate the apparently good grades that she got in her exams, not realising that Abi may have made up the grades. Poor Lauren soon realises her mistake though when Abi blows a fuse and tells her sister the truth. Lauren has ruined Abi's chances of getting into University! How will Lauren take this when she realises how selfish she has been due to her excessive drinking, will Abi ever forgive her sister? We'll have to wait and see. Another week of must see TV, I think so.
