This blog is a good news / bad news / then more good news deal.

*dabs tears from eyes with hanky*

It's alright. Something in my eye. Both of 'em.

Let's continue...

1. Good News

We've got one last glorious technicolour gallery of Ep 6 pics and behind-the-scenes shots to admire. To appreciate fully... CLICK HERE.

2. Bad News

This is the last blog from Being Human HQ.

In an ideal world all our old Being Human blog-masters would post eternally while sat on a cosy sofa while watching The Antiques Roadshow on TV... hardly noticing the origami smart phones, tablets and dongles on the mantelpiece. Or Lord Toby's mankini.

Then again, maybe it's safer we stick to the real world.

Speaking of my predecessors, what an honour to follow in the footsteps of talents like Garret Keogh, Barry Pilling and Rebecca Denton. I'm sure they all join me in saying a tearful and fond farewell to you all. You've been - and are - truly amazing.

3. More Good News

It's not quite over yet.

Don't forget there's an exclusive extra scene on the DVD Boxed Set which may (or may not) cast new light on that ending.

We'll also be uploading classic clips and making-of moments to our new official Being Human YouTube channel. Subscribe and join us there.

Here we are then.

Let's not say "goodbye"... let's just say "I'm doing this because I love you."

Huge thanks for being the most welcoming, passionate, and witty community I've ever encountered.

The way you embraced the concept and supported the characters on their quest to retain their humanity throughout all five series means the world to Toby... and everyone on the team.

Thank you.

Steve

PS Best Being Human Moment. Ever?

The Right Honourable Mrs Mancvamp as she was to be known took a deep breath. It is not easy to admit to such tendency in some elated parts of London. Even in our enlightened days, adopting a Troll can be seen as a step taken too far in proclaiming equality between humans, mortals, supernaturals. Some supernaturals consider themselves way above the dismal range of troll hood.

We could not see properly her face though we knew from her delicate hands we were privy to the emotions of a very high born lady. Much later years after solving the case, I would recognize her on the front page of The Times under a very different name. But for us, she will always be known as 'The Woman from Manchester'.

    - 'Because... he is such an innocent child, Mr Wyndham. When we adopted him, he was but Such an adorable ugly pup. You should have seen his onion pug nose and how tuff hair grew from his already large tonsils. he was the ugliest Northerner Troll. Even Bishop McNair had to admit to it. Our Troll has received the best education; he is house-trained and only eats the odd goat which dares to stray under the drawbridge of our castle... and he had so many hopes for season 6...'

Ever since prime Minister Snow who succeeded a rather non-descript predecessor has obtained from Parliament the famous Home Hatch Rule, supernaturals cured from the curse, the ones not cured and plain prey...I mean humans wree living in peace together.

I should write : most of the times. Rebellious vampires led by Lady Hettie were still causing troubles and more than often Wyndham had to resort to his old napalm thrower to get rid of the pests!

Do they have their own money in MancLand, Saint? Wow...

    Anyway...

The Mysterious Case of the Mancunian Troll contd.

Mrs Mitchell showed the woman in. She glanced round at the surroundings.

"Hm...could do with a bit of freshening up...have you not heard of Ikea? Argos? Other reputable furniture stores?" The figure winked to an unseen person, hovering with the remove button in the corner.

"Oh well..." she sat down without waiting to be shown to a seat. "Ouch..." Edgar Sherlock Wyndam leaped forward.

"My dear lady...John Nick Cutler...what were you thinking of, leaving a stake around the place...I've told you a 100 times...and next you'll be telling me you didn't empty the 'special' decanter out...honestly...you can't get the vicious sidekicks these days..." He sat down in front of the veiled lady. "How can we be of assistance?"

The woman, who would always be known as the 'Vamp from Manc' to him, spoke quietly.

"It's about a troll...he went missing a few days ago...no one's seen him since...I'm quite worried about him. He hasn't been eating lately...just the odd Eccles cake..."

"A fine cake..." E.S Wyndam nodded.

"Quite..." The woman again looked at the unseen figure in the corner, it's finger poised to press the button to...

"He's worried about the S5 DVD box-set..." she said, hurriedly...dabbing at a stray blood stain on her coat...it had been a very long taxi ride to London...There were tears in her eyes. Even the most stone-hearted of people would have melted at that look, even a BBC 3 controller...if they'd had a heart at all... ;)

"Why, dear lady?" said E S Wyndam, as he handed the woman a clean handkerchief. She blew into it noisely, then handed it back to him. He smiled politely, then threw it at John Nick Cutler to pick up. The woman took a deep breath...

    "Because..."

    To be continued...

    Or not...

    @MancVamp

The Mysterious Case of the Mancunian Troll

A newly discovered story of Edgar Sherlock Wyndham as redrafted by his Boswell Dr John Nick Cutler ( by Sir Arthur Toby Whithouse)

All started when a veiled woman rang the door. Dr Cutler has noticed her standing across the other side of the street. The woman was hesitating, head raised trying to figure out which windows were the ones of the appartmenr of the World First Detective.

    - 'Well, my dear Edgar. We seem to have attracted a new client. Should I tweet this development to your well-wishers?''

    - 'This woman comes from Manchester, loves to peel carrots and has a friend called Ewan'

Cutler let drop his mobile phone of surprise. Once again, the tenant of the attic of Honolulu Heights 221B BC street had furnished private details od such accuracy that the good doctor felt compelled to ask:

    - 'My Dear Wyndham, how in Earth can you read such information from this heavily veiled woman?'

    - 'Cutler, this is not even a one-pipe problem. The woman got out of a cab belonging to a Manchester company and a large bag of money was handed to the cabbie, suggesting the lady had come directly from the North Western city. Also as she left the car, the driver left on the pavement a very large bin bag full of carrots peels. Which proves that our client has fallen victim to the new rage known as carrot stake peeling. Finally Sir Ewan de Wolfis has sent a card warning me that his Friend the Right Honourable Mrs MancVamp would visit us today....

(your turn to complete the story)

Yes, Hettie: today is the day.... Chocolate Day... Ooooohhh!!!!!!!!!!!1 A Easter Tale and.... a Troll story.

This troll needs a back story. How did he meet Manc etc and yes, confirmining EW is on Time Share Rehabilitation conditions.
Herrick was arrested on ground of unsavoury acts toward a minor.(even the Daily Mail fell short of words t describe his despicable behaviours), Cutler will move to Brussels to get updated on EU laws, Fergus will live with his descendants at the beginning. Micaela and Regus have planned to open a book-shop cum stand-up poetry readings.

Tom is starting a tomato garden near the book shop and will sell his ware prior to any event. Hal is saving money still working at the hotel, but his CV had induced Sotheby's and Christies's to offer him a trial position as expert on late-medieval weaponry. Daisy and Ivan have already recovered their vintage DS and they have already booked the ferry. It seems that Ivan's family still carries weight and fortune in Russia???

Edgar is visiting Normandy to find personally the descendants of the Normand vamps who turned him and Mr Snow's teeth has awarded him an emergency appointment with his local NHS dentist which is booked on the 1st April 2014. Yes, it was the first next appoimtent on the waiting list...

Going to read Scotch_Mist Easter Story and munching chocolate.

Happy Easter! Bit worries about all these Easter Bunnies hopping about all over the place... they won't last long!

A special thanks to our fanfic writers today: I've had the great pleasure of reading some amazing stories this weekend. If I mention any names, I'm worried that I'll miss someone out (eek) but the ones that most recently spring to mind are from Ruby, HeLenNita, Saemay, Whimsey Fox and Sponder. Thanks!

378- Whatthehal - how many times have I told you - first rule of vampire club - don't get staked in the shoulder - it is really painful! Seriously, hope you get better soon.

Now, I like the idea that they are in this AU /dream-like state until one of them tries to leave. Doors have meant a lot of different things in Being Human - they mean that vampires can't enter... that ghosts leave through their doors, that ghosts can come back through a door... doors in corridors.. so I like the idea that they cannot ever leave HH and pass through that front door now.

No.You can check out but you can never leave, But I think you know that. ;D
