  • Comment number 7.

Ah so Yvonne didn't know what she was until after she got to the house. Got it right then - wow that doesn't happen often!

  • Comment number 8.

I love Selina's (Yvonne) accent...and no she hasn't touched me!

  • Comment number 9.

Hahah, i bet it's so funny working on the set with him

  • Comment number 10.

Thanks 0postitiv! And thanks Rebbeca and the BH team for all this wonderful content! :)

Is anyone else starting to feel a bit sad that we're already over half way through this series?!

  • Comment number 11.

10 - Yup! Can't believe we've only got three to go!

  • Comment number 12.

10&11 - Same here, this Series has gone by way too fast! Once the last episode is over, the DVD set needs to hurry up and come out :P.

  • Comment number 13.

12 ROFL - I've already got mine ordered via Amazon - although as you're aware other reputable retailers will be stocking it :-)

  • Comment number 14.

Yay! I've been waiting for a behind the scenes video for ages and this definitely is worth that wait.
I think Craig Roberts is an excellent actor and I also think that those smiley faces on the board are too distracting. :)

10 - I know! I wish they would do more episodes but at least it's not only 6 like S1. (I'm hoping too that they have a video for us bloggers with Hal, Cutler etc. singing! As long as they don't make it too cheesy...)

  • Comment number 15.

@Rebecca, thank you for the video, I loved it!

I have to say Craig seems very funny in real life (most characters he's played seem to be very much like him, funny and rude)

I can't believe that we've only got 3 eps left.

  • Comment number 16.

13 - I must have read your mind or something, because after I posted my comment I got the Amazon page up ready to pre-order lol!

  • Comment number 17.

    Should've said - it's released on 23rd April.

  • Comment number 18.

@Rebecca thanks so much for this its ace!!! Nice to see Lord Toby again as well!!

  • Comment number 19.

I love this video especially the blond man at St Helen's (who is he?) saying things about 'coidace' and the 'horny little vampire'! Craig is funny too!

Regards what people have said on the other blog about stories, I'll be sure to write *STORY* and only post short sections at a time if I do any more as I am aware my scenes tend to be incredibly long!

  • Comment number 20.

I'm going to try and pre-order mine this year. Last year I walked down to Tesco especially to get it, and it was £17.99. I still got it though! ;D

  • Comment number 21.

    16 - :-)

  • Comment number 22.

Forgot to say I live off behind the scenes stuff! Used to love how we got all sorts of making of vidoes and I jumped with joy seeing this!

  • Comment number 23.

I know a few of the bloggers who dont have twitter have asked for us to post 'extras' from the BH twitterpage or @lycurious (Cutler) and here is something Cutler posted the other day.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaqRuSOT3vk

  • Comment number 24.

    22. Lucia, im very much like that, I love finding out how they make programmes, I guess i should do Media studies/Film and Television studies instead of Health Studies.

  • Comment number 25.

    23- Ooo! Eerie!

24- I know it's awesome! I've looked into Media Studies though and I have to say I'm definately a languages girl! Although I do dream of being a writer (I'm now in the editing stage of my first novel and I've got a timeline and the beginnings of a screenplay on hold atm too) I would seriously love to write for something like BH. Aaah dreams!

  • Comment number 26.

Oooh, Just had an overload of excitement. Seen the new blog (Yay!), seen it was about Adam (bigger yay!), it's a behind the scenes (eeeee!!!), and it's an almost 8 minute video (woohoooooooo!!!!)

  • Comment number 27.

    26 - Excited? :-)

  • Comment number 28.

    25. Lucia, well I do drama, I love acting but I think i'd love to do 'proper' acting (stage, tv but im not good enough) or Behind the scenes stuff like make up or being an AD. Hmmm I wonder how you become an AD and what you have to study to do it...anyone know?

  • Comment number 29.

    26 - Just a bit :)

  • Comment number 30.

28- I'm sure you're better than you think! I do acting too in amateur shows and stuff although I'm not sure if I'll do another one until my A levels are over and then we'll have to see what time I have at Uni but I do really enjoy it. I did a local pantomime this Christmas which was probably my biggest part I've ever had as it was over a week and we had I think about 2000 people go to see it and I was a principal so that was pretty cool. Still, it tends to be light hearted stuff where OK singing is good singing or Shakespeare because all of the other plays they put on are musicals and I can only get chorus parts in them... I'm waffling, I'll stop.

  • Comment number 31.

@28 probably study something like film and video at uni- I think you can focus on specific roles in some courses....like AD, DIRECTOR, SOUND etc.... I study performing arts at Newport and we sometimes work with the film students:) I love acting! A dream would be to be in an ep (or a main character!!) of being human :)

  • Comment number 32.

Blog's unusually quiet for an evening!

  • Comment number 33.

    Love this!

Just thinking, As it's likely DM will be stolen from us, can't TW write a book or something from Hal's point of view about his 500 years? Would clear up all our questions! :)

  • Comment number 34.

33- That would be so cool but I'm still clinging to the hope he'll stay.

  • Comment number 35.

30, 31. Thank you. Im now looking at different Unis which do media studies but have the Director, AD, etc in it. (some in Wales ;D )

  • Comment number 36.

34- Even if he does stay though, it's not likely that they'll go threw like his whole past or something, just little flashbacks, and i think it would be really interesting to have it like written down from his point of view, from when he was turned to now or something like that...TW could do like a series of books

  • Comment number 37.

36- you're right. I do like imagining his past for myself but you couldn't get 500 years into a book without leaving scope for the imagination so it would still be cool.

  • Comment number 38.

A Hal point of view vampire book would be so much better than a lot of that genre at the moment! I really want to read one now..... Probably wouldn't be quite as good with out Damien Molony. . . Maybe if he read it to me. . . Live. . . Umm.... Where was I ;)

  • Comment number 39.

33 and related post: would be a bit Anne-Rice-ish though, wouldn't it? Not that I've got anything against The Vampire Chronicles (at least not the early ones) but still....

  • Comment number 40.

@Opositiv, I agree with you that a Hal early days book could be very Anne Rice, but I think that TW would make it very much like the series, funny and dark at the same time.

  • Comment number 41.

(Great, now you've got me thinking about how well David Talbot and Hal would get along XD...I really need to get a life...)

  • Comment number 42.

loving all the new clips posted on the blog :) without the website i wouldnt know what the hell was going on!! :S xx

  • Comment number 43.

I've been wondering: How will humanity react to Cutlers efforts of bringing WW out of the closet? I personally can't imagine modern people ever believing a word of what he's saying ^^ no matter how many youtube-videos he posts...and even a live WW-transformation would have people talking about "the great special effect of this piece of performance art" for sure ;)

    (quiet blog tonight...boring *shots wall*)

  • Comment number 44.

    43. Well there would be a few people who would believe, if someone told you that vamps and ww existed would you believe them. Obviously many people believe in ghosts (i am one of those who does) so vamps and ww could be the next step up. But obviously there would be A LOT of people who would just say that it is all made up and 'special effects'. I really want to see how Cutlers efforts to expose ww's pans out.

  • Comment number 45.

I agree Opositiv re WW in the flesh as it were. Look how good special effects are anyway and how they can make you believe quite a lot. With the way that everyone is these days with the supernatuaral weve either seen it all, or can imagine most of what reality can throw at us... or so we think...

Am guessing that most peeps this eve are out vamping it up or having a post full moon wind down party perhaps..?

  • Comment number 46.

I agree, the blog is extremely quiet tonight! Have they been attacked by the ww last night? or has Cutler got to them (for his tea)?

  • Comment number 47.

^^They look like they have so much fun on set^^

    @0positiv
I don't know if you've seen 'The Howling Reborn' I think it came out last year, it's a terrible film btw, the ww's are no where near as good as the BH ones. But a clip is released online of a ww transformation during that and the world just think it's a viral ad for a film.
So I think you're completely right there! Everyone would just be like, well this is a hoax.

Also I have to share something that happened in RL today,
During Textiles my teacher suggested I look at a book about Origami. I just managed not to laugh out loud, I was going to myself *must keep a straight face, must keep a straight face*

  • Comment number 48.

44-sure, a few would want to believe it, I just think that it's pretty hard to convince most people in the age of photoshop. He would have had an easier time in medieval times ^^ but then maybe that's exactly why the OO's aproach of taking over the world by brute force might work because humans wil just be in denial until they get eaten :)

  • Comment number 49.

I wonder if we're getting another blog night... I hope we do!

  • Comment number 50.

47-@nerdyalice nope, can't say that I've seen it, but then if it's terrible I possibly won't watch it ^^.
Hihi, your teacher would have been quiet baffeld if you'd just laughed them *gg*

    46-they're Cutlers new focus group...

  • Comment number 51.

that should be laughed *at* them.....*grml*

  • Comment number 52.

@46. 'Has Cutler got to them for his tea?' - If only!

Hehe, you know there's something wrong with you when you realise you actually wouldn't mind being attacked by a fictional vampire...

I'm very much hoping for a Hal/Cutler showdown on Sunday :)

  • Comment number 53.

nerdyalice I've been like that, the other week in one of my lessons my teacher said something about soldiers with red shields. I did have to chuckle.

Opositiv i really hope they're not his focus group! If they are how come im not? :'(

  • Comment number 54.

I always liked Dog Soldiers WWs, thats a fun film.
As we are talking about "believe it or not" does anyone remember when the hoax ?? came out about the Alien Autopsy - the 80s? I remember being unsure until I saw the video pics and then I knew it wasnt real, but I believed it more with the promise of what it was - first heard about it on the radio and thought how much it would change everything if it was true.

  • Comment number 55.

I'm not in Cutler's focus group or at a post-moon winddown party, I'm just writing up notes as ever. It NEVER ends. I have three days off next week, and will have to use all that time to write my essay, a huge wodge of notes out of a textbook (lazy lecturer) and a lab report...

  • Comment number 56.

52-@Megan2345 ^.^ Aren't we all a little mad here on the blog? I've allways been of the opinion there's something wrong with me...but it's more fun then being *normal*

53-@lozzie_lo you're right, we should be on the focus group! Outrageous!

54-@doesitsay in the 80's I was a little to young for alien autopsies ^^ to bad that....

  • Comment number 57.

    52. Hahaha i wouldnt mind being bitten by a fictional vamp (cutler, hal, i dont mind!)

Regarding Cutler, ive tweeted him (@lycurious) and he replied. I comented on his video of tom transforming, I said 'I've just watched the 'transformation' video, im sorry but it looks really fake! I hope you've got some solid evidence' and he replied with 'what would you like as evidence then? #werewolvesarereal #collectingevidence' and i replied with 'pictures and videos that don't look fake and maybe even a real werewolf that we can see' and guess what he replied? 'you should have gone out last night to see one! #werewolvesarereal'. I am going to tweet him asking what he's planning to achieve by releasing the video out to the public, but unfortunatly my mobile internet is playing up so ill have to do it in the morning.

  • Comment number 58.

@doesitsay, i wasn't born in the 80's but ive seen the Ant and Dec film about the hoax. (its not that good) but it could be like that, people are easily manipulated into believing, if theres pictures and 'video' footage to prove something its even easier to manipulate someone.

  • Comment number 59.

@56: there's definitely something wrong with me, some of it's certified. :-)

According to my notes, hepatitis C mostly spreads via blood and blood products - I know that vamps don't get ill, but could they be carriers of things like hep C and AIDS? Would any survivors of their attacks end up dying slowly of infections?

  • Comment number 60.

@57. Haha that's great :) I wonder who is actually doing all these tweets? Is it Andrew Gower or someone from the BH crew?

I also had a very BH-type experience today. I lost my watch, and had a proper Hal-ish freak out about it (I get very stressed if I don't know what the time is - blame my Aspergers for that :P ).

Anyway, my friend (who's name is Tom :O ) gave me his watch to wear to calm me down :D

  • Comment number 61.

I look forward to Cutlers reply.....I swear hes working with future girl or future someone..
I still think Kirby got too much info from her.. even if she is Eve why would she know about Annie looking throu GQ cos its not as if she met Nina or her ghost...as far as we know
I wonder if one gets the blue box when the mods go to the loo...just had it myself.

  • Comment number 62.

56- I totally agree about loopy being better than normal!

Regards the whole people believing Cutler thing, I personally would not believe anything he was producing as evidence as I know that everything he has is capable of being made with special effects, costume, make up and (brilliant) actors because it has all been faked for BH. It'd be very difficult to convince anyone apart from people like Michaela who really want to believe it.

  • Comment number 63.

59-@a0k666 I don't think vampires could be carriers of viral diseases..if they can't get ill I don't think that pathogenes would find their bodies to be hospitable...prions maybe, but not viruses (is that the plural in English? Oo) because they need living cells to multiply. Bacteria though...they could live in a dead body...

  • Comment number 64.

@60 I don't think its Andrew, it think its one of the writters for BH as the person who is doing the tweets has got to be in the character of Cutler.

  • Comment number 65.

62-@Lucia_WillowXD Us nutcases simply don't take everything, including ourselves, too serious...the world is way better if you can laugh at it ^.^

  • Comment number 66.

    65- I totally agree!

  • Comment number 67.

is it sad to be looking at houses in Barry that are for sale? Seriously thinking about moving to Wales when I leave school! :)

  • Comment number 68.

(and sometimes *normal* people freak me out...srsly, who clicks *like* on fb when a newspaper posts an article about 40 people being hurt in an accident? That's normal people for you ô.o...)

  • Comment number 69.

@63: good point. Depends on how "alive" the cells are - since vamps need food and can heal, there must be some metabolic activity going on in there?
And the plural is indeed viruses, well done :-)

  • Comment number 70.

60 - I get that way about lip balm. I have my primary lip balm, secondary and emergency lip balm just in my hand bag. Then 1 in the car, at work...

  • Comment number 71.

@65. Amen to that *watches the vampires of the blog twitch at the religious reference*.

Just like the old quote 'You shouldn't take life too seriously; nobody gets out of it alive anyway!' :D

  • Comment number 72.

I just found out theres a street in Barry called Wyndham Street.
Does anyone know what the street is called where HH is?

  • Comment number 73.

69-@a0k666 hm...you're right...they need to be somewhat alive to heal wounds...and their hair grows, so maybe they could transmit viral diseases...would be kind of ironic to survive a vampire attack only to die of liver failure caused by hepatitis :)
viruses just sounded strange, but thanks, it's just so different in German.

71-@Megan2345 *twitch* life is a lethal sexually transmitted disease ;)

  • Comment number 74.

Funny to hear people talking about viral disease as I was thinking about how in blood transfusions O blood rejects A, B and AB blood, A rejects B, B rejects A etc and I thought that feedind and recruiting could make someone's blood clot... but then I realised they're dead.

  • Comment number 75.

I must say from a French POV that Cutler could be spot on> I suggest all of you to do some research on wikipedia google including images on Gevaudan, the Beast of Gevaudan
to cut a long story short in the 1760s a monster killed about 100 humans and terrified my country, the king from Versailles, no, not making that up, it is in our very official republican history books , sent the version of the time of US marines, SEAL and other SAS. it lasted for years and one day somebody claimed to have killed this very unusual wolf and all stopped. did I mention some soldiers did see in in the distance walking on his rear legs and it could attack in different places the very same day in a way that suggested it might have riden in between said areas as wolves can run fast but not as fast as horses

when you visit the area, you understand 'something weird happened here' , an adult sheperdess survived and the beast was standing up...

a few crimes like that in my country and we are all pitchforking; when you know something happened once, you do not wait for one hundred deaths later to react

  • Comment number 76.

@68: hence why I don't "like" sad posts when my friends are ill or whatever. It doesn't make sense. The button should say something else really...

@70: I have about two dozen pens in my bag, but that's just because I picked up a load of free ones recently. My big "oddity" is probably my calendar - I NEED a big calendar with all my reminders on it, otherwise I miss appointments and forget to defrost dinner.

  • Comment number 77.

Good Eve-ning fellow vampires, How you lot doing?

  • Comment number 78.

@77: who are you calling vampire? *chews on squeaky rubber chicken*

  • Comment number 79.

75-@SAINTIXE56 Gutenberging (for all non-Germans copy- and pasting ;) ) "Beast of Gevaudan" into google now, sounds interesting

  • Comment number 80.

77 - Haha so your a dog? *coughhh* i meen werewolf?

    :)

  • Comment number 81.

regarding vampires, TW has kept part of the vampire canon, ie they grow hair and nails , if you research vampires you will see that they are endowed with that capacity
as per mitchell, they drink, sometimes too much and get hangovers, the visit the toilet as per ep1s1 when we are made privvy mitchell has a shy bladder anf mitchell eats a whole pizza
    there is some metabolism there
yet buried alive they survive like cara and with blood feed can grow back teeth

my cue is they have a human body with an added endo -endo as unseen - parasite the famous genetics of evil, vampire gene or what I call the V factor

TW is following again the canon of vampires being diabolical creatures, let's hope he knows better than the very classic and boring 'it's a curse' thing

  • Comment number 82.

@80: *squeak squeak* good girl a0k666? a0k666 good girl? *looks for biscuits*
@81: well, recruitment does involve ingestion of vamp blood so quite possibly is some sort of infection (leading to those unusual properties observed by Professor Jaggat in that sample Kemp sent her). Just as maybe succubi have altered pheromone secretion? (Still working on ghosts, zombies, psychics, seers and and werewolves.) Don't forget that Mitchell needed blood to perform a major heal after he was stabbed - it's not just teeth, it's any major injury.

  • Comment number 83.

a very nice review of season 4 so far

    http://www.cultbox.co.uk/features/opinion/3200-5-reasons-you-should-still-be-watching-being-human

  • Comment number 84.

ok, i just signed up for this FanFiction.net site, ive got a really good BH story in mind but it will probably be ages before i actually get a chance to get it out of mind and on to paper. So in the meantime, does anyone already have any good BH FanFics on there that i can read? thanks in advance :) x

  • Comment number 85.

that "Beast of Gevaudan" is really nice ^.^ WWs in 18th century France...or just some villagers gone mental over some starving wolves that attacked anything that looked edible? Reminds me of those so called *rational* explanations of vampire myths.

  • Comment number 86.

    47. 50. 53 just to blow your minds-I am a teacher and will usually throw in a BH reference most days to gauge reaction

  • Comment number 87.

86-@mrsbarrowboy aaah, I wish I'd have had teachers like you. ^^ mine were all so boring and normal and just plain lame ^.^''' so, what have the reactions been like? Are your students watching BH?

  • Comment number 88.

So, do vampires have to brush their teeth then? I assume they must decay...When Michaela *or how ever it's spelt* turned, she had really large and clean fangs, yet when you look at all the older vamps they're smaller than hers were and they don't look as sharp. Would be rather embarrassing for a vampire if he had no fangs as they had rotted away

  • Comment number 89.

@88. Well in Ivan and Daisy's prequel Hettie says something like 'I'm 462 and I've still got my own fangs.' She might have been joking, but then Mitchell was able to knock Cara's fangs out, so they must be even just a little bit vulnerable.

  • Comment number 90.

88-@halftw I guess if you can't get ill you can't get dental caries either but not brushing your teeth would be just disgusting...

  • Comment number 91.

Maybe they wear down over time? Hence Hetty's boast that she still had her own fangs... :-) Or possibly they forgot to give the actress the high-quality fangs for closeups and she had to wear the fancy-dress ones used for crowd vamps.

  • Comment number 92.

89- Wonder if they grow back then? they wouldn't be much of a vampire without them.. hmm

  • Comment number 93.

84: Here are a few I've recommended before:

Unfinished, a story about Mitchell before he returned to Honolulu Heights with a fateful request for George. Carianna.

Echoes, picks up where S3 left off, with a story about Nina, the baby, and an unexpected journey. RubyRosettaRed.

Baby Plays Around, Josie at the end. Araminta Lupin.

Who Controls the Past Speculative story about Edgar Wyndam’s influence on some familiar characters. Aquamarine_jo.

Cages and Barriers What happened the first time Mitchell was in Barry Island. Also The Recruit, about Mitchell's first meeting with Herrick, both by WhiteHare.

A one-shot, Some Enchanted Evening, and its more extensive sequel, You May See a Stranger, which are both about a side of Herrick you might not have seen before. Aquamarine_jo.

A very long, even epic, alternate ending to S3, Consequences, in which Edgar Wyndam takes custody of Mitchell as he intended. SunnyFla Also Cry Havoc, the sequel, in progress.

The Pendant, a story of Mitchell and Josie’s relationship and how it might have ended. RubyRosettaRed

The Seer, historical fiction set in the 16th century, really nicely drawn characters and detail. By Scotch_Mist, in progress.

Something Tells Me, What brought Mitchell to Josie’s house, why he went back, and what happened when we weren’t watching. I, er, might've written this one. *runs away*

If you read and like, please please let the authors know.

  • Comment number 94.

If you look at Hal's fangs they don't look that sharp, sharp enough but not like Michaela's, so maybe they do wear down? they look different to me anyway, don't know about you lot :)

  • Comment number 95.

Above are from a list I've been keeping for awhile. Forgot RubyRosettaRed's current and ongoing fic, Fine Again.

  • Comment number 96.

    87. they think I'm odd. today I was asked what I was doing over the weekend. I said some origami, dominoes and learning to play the lute. Met by totally blank faces so I guess my students have no taste.

  • Comment number 97.

96-@mrsbarrowboy shame on your students then, no taste indeed. But I guess if one of my teachers said that they'd have gotten much the same reaction as well, but we'd have had the excuse of being German with no knowledge of BH ;)....we also never asked our teachers what they were doing on weekends XD
    What subjects are you teaching?

  • Comment number 98.

    Evening All! Evening Mods!

Just want to say to newbies - I have loved reading your comments! (Except 101 on last blog that I actually did NOT read because nice peeps warned me. And thanks to everyone who sent me messages about the Spoiler)

96 My son is a huge origami freak. I wonder what Hal does with the finished work. Our house is teeming with it.

  • Comment number 100.

98-@MancVamp sugar-high? Or are you just *that* happy? ^.^
