oh my gosh a shirtless Hal! glad the husband has gone off to work ha ha. putting aside that he is as fit as a butchers he is a really good actor and his character is interesting. there should be loads of good flashbacks that could happen. and im familar with ocd. my husband has turned all the books round on the bookcases so you dont see the spine! im soooo excited i cant be bothered to put in my capital letters.

Loved it! Another great episode. Adoring Hal and Tom, our dynamic duo, and so glad Annie is finally starting to feel comfortable and voice her worries and come into her awesomeness!

FANTASTIC! but to the reviewer whose opinion I read on the RT page link, & who said they loved it and had almost forgotten George, Nina & Mitchell (ah, Mitchell) ... oh you are so wrong. Yes the new series is good, the humour is great, but it could never have been, it would never have even existed without the supreme success of the first team. Well done all of you. I really like Tom and Hal but I just cant help thinking the chemistry isnt quite there. All 3 are brilliant in their own right, and tonight seeing Tom and Hal getting on was great - but, the 3 together just doesnt fit right somehow. Is it that we were spoiled with the original trios on screen relationship?
I think for me I have to view it as a completely new programme. I like it, but its just not BH for me anymore and that makes me :(

Felt all very flat to me until the last 15 minutes. Hey ho. I think Hal & Tom are very strong characters but..... i dunno. it's not properly clicking for me yet. the direction doesn't seem as interesting to me.

Sorry just a question. If Hal has been 'away' for 55 years how could he know Daisy? The reason I ask is cause in the prequel for Ivan and Daisy with Hettie it is stated that Hettie has not met Daisy before because she is New. Hal didn't have any vampire contact.

Also will there be an episode where Tom doesn't kill or hasn't just killed a Vampire?

For some reason I hope not. Still he is letting some go.

Loved that episode! Scenes between Tom and Hal very funny ....do not know how they kept their faces straight in the 'flirting' scene. Thought that Damien was superb in his stillness again....I can quite well believe that he was one of the most frightening vamps around in the past.....with or without his red shield!
Lenora was quite brilliant in this eps as well....had a few comic moments but in the main she was the grown up one who had to grapple with difficult decisions.
Back tommorrow after I've had chance for a rewatch and time to gather thoughts more coherently.
Oh...almost forgot....yeh to shirtless Hal....especially (surprisingly) covered in blood.....yum!

91 - Daisy Turned in the second world war 1941 that's before 1955 a possible 14 years to meet Lord Hal

91. If my memory serves me right, Daisy was turned in about 1941, whereas Hal went into 'hiding' in 1955. So more than enough time for Ivan and Daisy to make a name for themselves and meet up with Hal once or twice. I have a feeling Hal was more involved in the British Vampire society than Hettie, but maybe Hettie had just been on holiday for a bit and not been very bothered about meeting Ivan's newest friend.

Thankyou Ewan I thought you might be able to tell me the answer.

91. Daisy was made a vampire in WW2, the London Bombings we saw in a flashback. That was 1941, we know Hal took part in all sorts of Vampire activity including dog-fights up until he met Leo in 1955 so it's no surprise he's met them. It's also no surprise that Hettie hadn't met her, compared to most vampires she was still quite new.

83. Saffz - oooh...i know a week is aggggess! And yeah it was my favorite episode of series 4 so far too! Lol. :)

Really enjoyed that. Nice lot of references to the past too. - Real Hustle, Ivan and Daisy and a safe falling from above. And more... And I loved the hoover - that must be a nod to the bloggers. Bet Caradoc and his Mum were all excited at those street scenes.
