As a ghost, Annie gets used to not being seen. In fact, she's very used to it, and can gladly move from place to place without anyone knowing she's even there.

So imagine her surprise when someone notices her. And that someone is drunk. And loud. And a bit kind of dead. And... well, chavvy.

There, we said it.

    and then Turn Around

  • Comment number 2.

As my friend reminds me, this is like so many nights out in Cardiff as a student. For all I know some of them could have been zombies

  • Comment number 3.

On you tube the clip has arrived

now the clip can be seen I can point out how much I love the not really running away just walking away very quickly style of retreat that Annie chooses.

This has me feeling hole levels of glee.

One thing about being human is that all four are in a way trying to hide. Apart from Annie who can't be seen.

but it looks like the Zombie might not be that good at pretending and hiding or really want to as much as the others.

This will add a whole new dynamic to the interactions that I am really going to enjoy.

  • Comment number 4.

haha love how Annie goes, "Not today thankyou!"

  • Comment number 5.

    aww Annie is so brilliant

  • Comment number 6.

Love how Annie sort of power-walks away, like she's still trying to stay low-profile even though only Zombie Chick can actually see her. "Not today, thank you!" :: dies laughing ::

  • Comment number 7.

    "Not today thank you!!!!!"

Annie you crack me up! Thanks for making my day :D

  • Comment number 8.

6 - Haha totally agree. I love annie! Can't wait for Sunday now :D

  • Comment number 9.

Oh Annie! haha! out of all the people to see her... really ideal, a lary dead drunkard...

  • Comment number 10.

I love Annie! So glad that Mitchell went and got her from purgatory! As a fan from the states, this really is one of my favorite shows ever!

  • Comment number 11.

    ANNIIEEEEEEE!!! hahahahaha
    Constant comedy gold

  • Comment number 12.

Ooooh That looks interesting, I can't wait until Sunday :)

  • Comment number 13.

PMSL The same thing happened to me on my last night out in Cardiff!!! wonder if she was a zombie? just thought she was a trog.

  • Comment number 14.

6 - You're right, it is SO Annie! Gotta stay respectable, even though no one can see her no one's going to judge her.

Can't wait for Sunday's ep. It'll be interesting to see how Being Human will use traditional zombie legends.

  • Comment number 15.

Ah this was good! Loving the medium speed get-away, a wee smile on my face! So Annie!

    Sasha's quite scary isn't she?

If anyone else watched the Alan Carr show, I totally jumped at a particular scene involving Sasha haha! You know what bit I mean.

  • Comment number 16.

    Another line to enjoy

    'Those drinks were Dead'

you've got to love the throw away lines.

  • Comment number 17.

Gotta love that Annie! So the dead Sasha can be seen by the others? How was she to be bounced from the club? Or is she so drunk she thinks the man was talking to her?

Watching this show makes me think of many ways I don't want to die for fear of being stuck in that state for eternity! lol

  • Comment number 18.

15 I jumped at that bit too, love the fact they did aswell!

  • Comment number 19.

    17 - Sasha isn't a ghost she's a Zombie - different type of dead

  • Comment number 20.

Gotta love Annie!! Trying to run away from a zombie! Sasha looks like she's gonna be a funny character, love the humour in BH, more please =) She reminds me of most of the girls where I live too, out on a Saturday night except their faces arent hanging off or maybe the make up covers it hehe =P

    Cant wait for Episode Three

  • Comment number 21.

    Intriguing clip. Bizarrely surreal.

Good on Annie for keeping her cool. I have to say, if I had come face to face with that thing, I would probably have peed myself. Chavs are very scary creatures, especially when they've had a drink!

On a more serious note, did she say 'Those drinks were dead?'. What an excuse!

Hmm... does this clip suggest that Zombies are going to become intergrated into society? That'd be an interesting plotline.

  • Comment number 22.

Hmm, unless the bouncer was just ignoring how she looked, maybe only other supernaturals can see the actual state of a zombie whereas humans just see a person?

or...yeah I'm tapped out. But episode looks brilliant and just love Annie so very much. Made of win and awesome.

  • Comment number 23.

LOL it's funny how Annie just 'daintally' run's away!!! Poor Annie looked like she was just wandering aroubd aimlessley...I wouldn't be at all surprised if she & Sasha end up being good friends,Annie needs another girl to talk too that has no 'strings attached' so to speak they could talk about..beauty and makeup lol..

As I always say..roll on Sundayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!

  • Comment number 24.

At least this explains one thing.

What does Annie do with her time?

I was getting worried that they were only going to do Annie scenes with the others, you know memories of purgatory keeping her from exploring the new city. Kind of like episode 4 last season following the postman.

It would also explain the night club clips we've seen in behind the scene blogs.

I think Annie does need this otherwise she would be back to square one. Having her hang on Mitchell's arm for too long would just not work.

  • Comment number 25.

Lenora is absolutely amazing! After rewatching the interview again last night I was smirking my face off. I hadn't noticed but she does a little courtsey before she leaves the office - she's brilliant.

  • Comment number 26.

Laurar - I noticed that! haha it made me laugh each time I watched it.

  • Comment number 27.

Love how Annie just goes "Not today thankyou"

  • Comment number 28.

I love Annie and Blog Annie. You have no idea how excited I was when I saw Blog Annie had managed to be retweeted by Being Human into my mobile phone. That is extremely cool. In my geeky little world.

Like the clip but I *really* miss Bristol. Oh goodness. I love West Country accents infinity times more... sob. I'm so mean and I hate myself for it.

  • Comment number 29.

Have watched this clip over & over......it's absolutely hilarious!! Annie is brilliant!

  • Comment number 30.

WR thank you! I love you too and Annie of course. I was ridiculously excited aswell, I wanted to tell someone but there was no one with me...

  • Comment number 31.

    I can't believe I missed this

Zombie chasing a Ghost while wearing high heels and swinging a handbag - seriously look at the handbag

I need to find a copy of the importance of being Ernest now,

  • Comment number 32.

Many times ive watched S2E7 where Annie says "Were not coming back here again are we?" i always say "Bye house we will miss u"

  • Comment number 33.

"not today thank you!" This cracks me up, what else can you say to an argumentative zombie :P

  • Comment number 34.

Aww, Annie! Always so polite - even with strange, drunk zombie people! :)

  • Comment number 35.

    I would have teleported away

  • Comment number 36.

30 - well Annie I was whooping with you and sharing your excitement!

32 - oh Saffz I well up too, although initially that was just over the seriously bad recording of my favourite piece of music! I didn't realise how much I loved the old place and the people, but the more I see in Barry, the more I choke about losing Bristol. I feel terrible but I sometimes want to cut my ears off.

35 - that is a fantastic point... silly Annie! Comedy value outweighs sense though...

  • Comment number 37.

The old house was a charater in the show. It had a conection with Annie all the stuff with the pipes and the cracked tile,
But im sure the new house will become loved to.

  • Comment number 38.

PS I want to cut my ears off a lot - it's my name (not the one you guys see!) plus I have really bad tinnitis (which I can't spell) and it seriously does drive me mad sometimes.

Glad they didn't move to Birmingham though. Or the Black Country. Although Ewan and I would probably meet whilst stalking if they did.

  • Comment number 39.

WR i'm glad someone is. And I need to find you on twitter!
Saffz the last episode I think I had about 2 seconds where I wasn't crying, everytime I watch it.

  • Comment number 40.

37 - I do like the new house, but it does make me worry that Annie has lost her stable foothold and is lost and desperately trying to cling on to something to give her a sense of place... the thing being Mitchell.

I never quite saw how having a blocked u-bend in the toilet meant that kitchen taps didn't work... that always disturbed me greatly because if something blocking the toilet u-bend stopped water coming out the drinking taps then I really would recommend sticking to bottled water once the blockage is removed!

But hey - it was quirky like Annie though. I loved it.

  • Comment number 41.

39 - seriously Annie. I don't tweet. I just watch and listen. I'm not worth following. You're much better off with me here. =)

  • Comment number 42.

    40 good point

  • Comment number 43.

    41 ok if you insist

  • Comment number 44.

43 - you'd just think I was really dull. Which technically is true. I'm not worth it. I have it to get updates from BH, my theatre, my favourite comedian, my rugby team, my charities, my political party, and weirdly space probes and telescopes. It saves me from looking up all the separate websites in short and feeds it all into one place for me to skim and select from. I don't follow any real people at all! Tim is a real person, but it's just to know when he's doing gigs.

What was my good point? When did I ever make a good point?! =)

  • Comment number 45.

Ahh your not dull just quiet.

  • Comment number 46.

    This time sunday

  • Comment number 47.

46 - we'll all be trying to pee as fast as possible...

  • Comment number 48.

damn it I missed the start again... I just can't bear to not wash my hands. It'd feel wrong...

  • Comment number 49.

    Evening folks!
Zoya (22) - I was thinking that too. I know nothing about zombies but I'm pretty sure if I met someone looking like that I'd be a wee bit concerned. Never been on a night out in Wales though...
WR - caught your comments on the Toby questions blog about chocolate oranges - it's all true and seemingly the same's happening to Dairy Milks. These are sad times for chocolate lovers, just as well the telly's good just now or life just wouldn't be worth living!

  • Comment number 50.

49 also giant tobl erones are less erm giant.

  • Comment number 51.

    49. evening shovels2 (Love the name) I had a few nights out in swansea years ago, but think i was more of a zombie then, but i didnt look as bad as that maid!

yr comment about Choccy orranges reminded me there was sumat on radio about manufacturers sneakily making choccy smaller but for the same price
to help beat the price rises, their taking our chocy slowly but surely aRRRRGh!

  • Comment number 52.

51 i saw that on bbcbreakfast the other morning.

  • Comment number 53.

    51. Aww, thanks Lycan666, I've got big hands for a girl!

It's Wagon Wheels all over again!

  • Comment number 54.

ewan thanks for clearing that up! I need to keep my supernaturals straight. lol

zoya (22) great point I think seeing that creature would be disturbing.

Laurar (25)-I also saw Annie doing a curtsey as she left "Mrs." office and had a great chuckle! First cause no one can see her and second "Mrs" isn't royalty...maybe Lenora was filming the bits where she's hosting "The Tudors" repeats on BBCA and got confused. Glad they kept it in though. I love Lea she's just adorable.

  • Comment number 55.

is there a clip of the cast on Alan Carr anywhere us US viewers to see? There wan one on youtube but bless the sweet soul who posted it the sound and picture aren't really that good. I am thankful they tried though

  • Comment number 56.

    52. eveneing annie ow be u?

talking of food, if mitchel isn,t "feeding" does he need to eat more normal food to sustain him/suppress his blood lust?

back to drunk Zombies; as all I know about Zombies from films is they feed on human flesh, will this mean Sasha will get the drunk munchies and start gobbling up innocent bystanders?
Will George and Nina have to bring her home "SCRaps" from the hospital?
Was the doorman oblivious to her headwound? or a supernatural himself?

Answers on the back of a beer mat please

  • Comment number 57.

    Yah new blog post!!

Lol, Sasha looks and sounds like trouble!! Come on Sunday!!

23.WR- I also miss Bristol so much. I was re-watching series 1 and love it when George goes down to the transformation room in the hospital and meets the builder with the funny laugh and Bristolian accent who says "they been keeping the mentals in here", soo funny, cracks me up everytime and George's expression is classic!!!
At least we have our box sets for endless re-watchs of Being Human and Bristol!!!

  • Comment number 58.

Whoops i meant WR at post 28!!

  • Comment number 59.

"as all I know about Zombies from films is they feed on human flesh, will this mean Sasha will get the drunk munchies and start gobbling up innocent bystanders?"

It depends on their take on zombies. Traditionally zombies actually don't eat flesh! Most of that stuff comes from the (granted good) Living Dead films. Traditionally they were people who were reanimated by a voodoo priest or witch doctor, often or not as a kind of slave to the priest's will.* There are older zombie films from before the Romero classics that follow that kind of zombie, and while they will kill, they don't generally eat people.

Technically, I wouldn't really count this girl as a zombie though as zombies are usually in a kind of sleepwalking type state. This girl just seems to be normal apart from being dead. That wouldn't make a very interesting character though in something that is predominantly a character show, so I can see why they took this route. It's not the first time zombies have been depicted this way either. The zombies that appear in Buffy are quite chatty. Come to think of it the zombies in the Night of the Living Dead film tend to have their marbles too, although those ones do like munching brains.

Anyhow. The clip looks interesting. And the sudden turn-around with that freaky sound effect actually startled me! Her face was gross, but I've seen worse, but it was primarily the suddenness that made me jump a bit.

*There is actually a real life basis for this. There is a kind of drug that can induce near death symptoms. While you are still alive your heart beat is so weak that your pulse and respiration is very hard to detect. Thus, when people wake up from this state, it seems as if they've come back from the dead. (At least, that's the explanation.)

Some believe this is the basis of zombie legends. Of course these people are at least physically alive rather than undead, although I've heard reports they come back different. Like they left something behind. It might be a kind of brain damage... or a trance state. Or mabye they left their soul behind.... Brrrr.

  • Comment number 60.

Ugh. Apologies for the spelling mistakes and run-on sentences.

  • Comment number 61.

59 - I think it's the puffer fish powder that puts the body into a effective Coma. then they wake up.

  • Comment number 62.

I think that the closest type we can gauge Sasha from is Terry Pratchett and the Discworld series.

Basically the body is dead but the soul or personality and memories still remain within. They keep Decaying and have to be embalmed to prevent complete collapse. But are still effectively the same person.

As to the eating flesh part there was a heart on some papers in one of the promo pictures.

Also here is a question will she keep decaying bit by lumpy bit unless she gets embalmed pretty sharpish.

Now we can see from the clip Zombies can get drunk but do they feel as their nervous system decays?

  • Comment number 63.

    62. so if not embalmed she will start to rot like the guy in american werewolf in london?! now thats got potential humour.... will the Foursome have to find a way of embalming her to stop the neighbours talking?

  • Comment number 64.

Not to mention what it will do to the werewolves noses hanging around a dead and decaying woman at home
    poor George and Nina

  • Comment number 65.

hey there, sasha looks pretty scary, wouldn't want to run into her at night ... anyway, did lenora, russell and sinead appear in an interview this week?? i can't remember which show was it

  • Comment number 66.

65-They did Chatty Man this week..they were yummy as always

  • Comment number 67.

Tetrodotoxin is the word people are looking for.

  • Comment number 68.

Tetrodotoxin is the substance your looking for.

  • Comment number 69.

    Ewan (62)
If you ever get a chance to read Grunts by Mary Gentle, they have a special squad of zombie orks who have to keep stitching bits of their bodies back on. If they saluted too hard, the officer had to duck to avoid the rain of flying fingers :-)

  • Comment number 70.

ha ha!....loving this fiesty zombie...bring it on I say! Great bit of drama and comedy. Really loking forward to Sunday..from the clips so far it looks another comedy classic.

mmmm what was Annie doing outside the nightclub on her own?...waiting for Mitchell?...hoping that Mitchell might take her there/turn up?...pining for Mitchell?..none of the above?

favourite comment so far...(2) Zoya...cracked me up!

Thanks for the clip Mr P

  • Comment number 71.

Not a big fan of zombies but with this clip I can't wait to see how Lord Toby envisions them and how the awesome foursome interacts with Sasha. Annie's initial reactions are priceless lol.

Ewan thanks loads for the link.

  • Comment number 72.

Again this has probably been mentioned but can't read every post to find out as at work but... In "The American werewolf in London" the werewolfs mate was killed by him and could not pass over and had to roam as the undead until the werewolf who killed him was dead! It looked on the above clip as if Sasha hand clawed down her face (or on the other hand she may have been bottled gfo knicking drinks!)Maybe McNair or another poss new wolf killwd her. One last thing how come if she is a zombie she is not eating brains and attacking everyone like Day of The Dead or some other classic zombie film. Anywayt does'nt matter to much as Bh is so great and only 2 sleeps away.

  • Comment number 73.

69 - Thanks for the recommendation will check it out.

72 - A supernatural cause for Sasha's death is a new take after all it takes away the curse or magic reason to be hanging around. Plus the science experiment option. SO now three options.

Okay he could not rest till the line - of the werewolf that killed him died.
The killing of the werewolf responsible and only that werewolf is American werewolf in Paris

  • Comment number 74.

Thanks Ewan how exciting all these options makes it even harder to wait until the next ep and the next and the next! Didn't know that re American werewolf never watched the one in paris I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the classic first one. I may need to watch that and rewatch the first?!

  • Comment number 75.

Can't wait for Sunday to get here.

Robson Green was on 'Daybreak' this morning, promoting BH and he couldn't have been nicer about Toby, Aidan, Russell and Lenora. He had lovely things to say about them all.

Like i said...can't wait for Sunday...why isn't it Sunday yet?

    *taps foot impatiently* :)

  • Comment number 76.

    Oh and Sinead too....

  • Comment number 77.

56 hi sorry I'm good how are you? late I know sorry.

75-6 how can you forget Sinead?! He was quite funny on daybreak -shudder- I'm surprised they showed that clip though...

  • Comment number 78.

I can't believe i forgot her (sorry Sinead! ;))...I was amazed that they showed that clip...bare bum and all...at 7.35am on a Friday morning!

  • Comment number 79.

62: "I think that the closest type we can gauge Sasha from is Terry Pratchett and the Discworld series."

Great example! I was also thinking of a film I saw at school as a teenager: Dead Heat. A kind of zombie cop drama. We saw it English of all places. It was at the end of term so the teacher let us bring in our own films and a kid brought in this. (Quite amusing as this was rated 18 and we were younger. The teacher didn't care, she was quite chilled out.)

In hindsight the film was rather trashy but I enjoyed it at the time. And it had some real gross-out decomposition sequences....

74:" never watched the one in paris I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the classic first one."

I preferred the first, but the second wasn't as bad as many make out. The story was actually a lot more involved. The first was scarier though, although it was the dream sequences rather than the wolf killings that freaked me out. Especially the woodland scene.

  • Comment number 80.

Great clip! haha! wow annie, fast walking away! so funny! can the zombie be seen? If she can, maybe people cant see the dead part, or maybe they think its make up? I cant wait for sunday to find out!

  • Comment number 81.

really want to watch the next episode! wonder whats going to happen!

  • Comment number 82.

Looks hilarious (as always) lovin series 3 but series 1 is the best :-) cant wait for sunday xxx

  • Comment number 83.

Does that mean Zombies are the mysterious Type 4 suggested earlier?

  • Comment number 84.

    83. Yes

  • Comment number 85.

79 Thanks I will check it out, 1 more sleep!!!

  • Comment number 86.

Just popping on to say yay for tomorrow! Utterly excited for our next episode

And also grinning ear-to-ear at the various mentions of the brilliant Terry Pratchett. I was over the moon when the letting agent mentioned him in the first episode of series 3, but to hear you all natter about it (even if just in terms of his type of zombies, which I totally agree about btw) just makes me happy. Spread the Pratchett love.

  • Comment number 87.

"Not available in your area" - arrghh! Oh, well, at least I know it's hopeless right away. (Bloody YT)

  • Comment number 88.

    Hello all...brief visit only..

Fabulous...how good is this going to get?? We have more characters, a number of storylines, incredible make-up (thank you, Marcus!), stunning writing (Lord Toby and others...grovel, fawn), out-of-this-world acting, ace production..what more could a fan ask for?

Sasha looks like dynamite, fiesty with, I suspect, with an interesting turn of phrase..so looking forward to tonight's episode of this and Becoming Human straight afterwards (tv red button or online). Our Sunday nights are stitched up for the next 5 Sundays

Thanks, Barry and team for giving us the little snapshots of forthcoming episodes!x

  • Comment number 89.

miss sodding high and mighty lol what a CHAV

  • Comment number 90.

I played the bouncer in that scene and the first time i saw sashas makeup i felt abit sick !! it was so real ! :)
