It's true what they say, there ain't no party like a vampire party where everyone wears leather thongs and drinks the blood of a guy spread-eagled on a snooker table. Wait, does anyone actually say that? No? Well maybe they should do.

This is of course the story of Adam, the teenage vampire in need of guidance. A trip to Richard & Emma's house with their 'ways and means' sounded like a solution, but it soon became apparent this was the last thing the boy needed. This week we've gone behind the scenes to show you the reality of the vampire party... and we can honestly say it's the only Being Human set we've ever been on where the main problem has been chafing.

THIS IS NOT THE END FOR ADAM

Adam's life continues in our new online drama Becoming Human, where he's about to get drawn into a dark and deadly mystery. With Mitchell's sound advice "Surround yourself with good people" still ringing in his ears, he's gone back to college to control the bloodlust and get on with his life. But things turn very strange very quickly when he meets a werewolf and the ghost of a dead pupil... follow the mystery on our brand new Becoming Human website.

Trust us, Adam's story has only just begun.

Yahoo!! Our Beloveds are back in style in this episode! Loving it!!!
    "....who wants some of my....plant?"

  • Comment number 9.

Love the reaction werewolves or the seriously messed up

  • Comment number 10.

George really needs a stock of intimidating lines for when he has to raid vampire strongholds.

  • Comment number 11.

LOVED this episode...for its humour ..and its compassion, particularly portrayed by Nina and George. Adam's story one of loss, laughter...and ultimately, wanting to be better..to become human.

  • Comment number 12.

i'm a bit 'hmm' about this episode. Found the deviant vampires a little obvious and 2 dimensional to be honest and the Adam storyline was good, and his character well written, but really did just feel like it was there for the sole purpose of introducing a spin off and not really adding anything to the group story.
    A little dissapointed this week.
Lets hope we have a bit of Herrick next week to liven things up!

  • Comment number 13.

It all happens in Wales doesn't it !!! And we thought they were liberted in the west country :0o Blood donating rubber clad No7 etc! dunno whats pickled my head more tonight Mitchell's options or the general kinky theme. Adam's cool I think? Nina's got her fiestyness back. Is Annie putting too much pressure on Mitchell or is it what he wants??? I'm really having problems processing it all tonight will have to rewatch in the morning ..... Whats with the profanity filter, it was in the program????????????????

  • Comment number 14.

Mitchell!!! Open your eyes man... ITS FATE!!!

  • Comment number 15.

    Wow...again!
Thankyou to all involved in Being Human. It was EVEN better than last week.

Now who wants some of my plant....

Great to have all the humour back!

  • Comment number 16.

RE-13-Rubber clad man should obviously mean the G**p word which it wouldn't let through the filter. Don't put it in the program then ban the name on the blog it could get very messy when trying to explain lol

Nevaaprincess (13) - I need to re-watch tomorrow evening too. Struggling to take it all in first time round.

Enjoyed Becoming Human too...& looking forward to seeing it progress.

  • Comment number 19.

Apparantly I got a little over excited and got modded haha!

That was fantastic, some serious happy dancing happening here!

I was like, Mitchell, don't you dare leave Annie like that! Slap. Hehe.

    Adam was fab too actually.

And next week!!!! Looks like the kiss is goina happen. Yus!

  • Comment number 20.

    14. He's existed for 117 years without someone fussing and organising him don't you think it could become smothering?? I know I'll be out numbered but I had to throw it in there.

  • Comment number 21.

Who wants some of my Plant

    remember

Who wants some of my Chair

  • Comment number 22.

ok...just actually watched the vid!...Hi Colin Teague...you are fab!
Seems like everyone had a blast in this particular porno shoot....sorry...Being Human shoot!

    ahem....more talc needed?...call me naive but....why?

  • Comment number 23.

    Nina's reaction to Adams girl

    'Classy'

  • Comment number 24.

@22 talc helps absorb sweat an make it easier to get into rubber outfits :0)

  • Comment number 25.

What an amazingly funny episode!!! George & Nina cracked me up with the one liners, such a great double act!! Love them!

Adam was brilliant....would hate to think I was stuck being a teenager forever =S but he was so funny, hard not to like the guy. Still not sure on the Annie/Mitchell thing...I wanna see more of Annie, just Annie developing more with out needing a man (Dont hate me bloggers lol).

Becoming Human was kinda funny, im not that old, a child of the 80's & even I remember Hale &Pace, Sam Fox and Johnny Ball....wow, maybe I am old haha

Cant wait for next week & hopefully soon, the return of McNair & Tom =) Needs more werewolves =P

  • Comment number 26.

    re:22, ahem....more talc needed?...call me naive but....why?

obviously never tied to put on a rubber dress....talc makes for less friction...apparently... so they tell me

*gets coat and leaves by the back door*

  • Comment number 27.

Adam yr a hit with me:-)

  • Comment number 28.

yeah this episode was fun and quirky but didnt have the tension of last week which feels a bit like a step backwards - surely the tension should be rising each week towards the season finale?

  • Comment number 29.

Loving the new series, but the line from George "Who wants some of my plant" had me laughing. he must have had a great time reading the script on that one

Becoming Human snippet is great, just dont let it go over to CITV !

  • Comment number 30.

Forgot to say that one of the reasons I loved that episode was because I've stood on many of those locations!...the quayside, the Barrage, streets in Barry island....feeling lucky!

  • Comment number 31.

Loving the wearing rubber tips everyone!!! me thinks our writers have touched on another of our soft spots lmao

  • Comment number 32.

Wow, what an episode - a lot to take in! I love that Nina seems to be back on form - definately looking forward to seeing more of her in this series. I'm really starting to go for this whole 'annie/mitchell' pairing, but throughout all their scenes in this episode, I was kind of cringing - I was like 'back off a bit, Annie. You're overwhelming the poor guy'. I'm intrigued to see how it will all unfold... definately requires a second viewing to absorb it all a bit better.

  • Comment number 33.

    (20) Think you & me are the only ones not routing for Annie/Mitchell

Gotta say, makes me wanna visit Wales! BH Team should get a grant or something from the tourist board hehe

  • Comment number 34.

Ha ha poor Welsh people, all perverts according to Being Human, what with last weeks doggers and number 7 this week. And wasn't the tradesman selling the cage to George last series Welsh and very clued up on what uses cages could be put to.

Best line: "WHO WANTS SOME OF MY PLANT?!"

I love the reference back to the first series for us fans and any return for the World's Gayest Ninjas is fine by me.

  • Comment number 35.

    Oh that was so good!!!

Wasn't Mitchell just simply delicious tonight! lol..sorry..(blush)
I really felt for him too, hearing that horrid news reporter foreseeing his death..horrible!I was half thinking he was actually going to take off after that so as not to bring heartache on his friends, especially poor Annie who was just consumed with love for Mitchell tonight.

Adam grew on me throughout the night,Nina & George did a good job with nutureing him, showing signs of being good parents there :O)

All in all a fantastic episode.....thrills and spills all the way!

    XXXXXXX

  • Comment number 36.

Really liked the back refs with the humour (George's 'Who wants some of my plant').
Wasnt all that keen on needy Annie tbh. I hope she gets a bit more meat to her scrips in the next couple as I found her a bit....annoying, rather than sweet.
I like the continued use of the TV/radio for messages to the gang though (again a nice back link to previous series).
To me the episode seemed a little awkward and contrived which is very unlike BH.

  • Comment number 38.

37 - Cheers for that, Ewan, didn't see the second trailer on the telly and it's definitely most exciting. Can't wait!

  • Comment number 39.

I'm not going to look at anymore trailers, just going to wait with baited breath until next Sunday! :O)
    xx

  • Comment number 40.

Clever previews from last week, thought richard was a copper come to arrest mitch NOT A super pervy vamp, with awife from Gavin and stacey who preys on teenagers and has the audacity to look down on doggys tooo!!

All good stuff, especially Adams teenyboy atitude.

wierd how the psyhcic Tv is now talking to Mitchell like it was to Saul who tried to get annie to tother side in S2..

  • Comment number 41.

WOW! This episode marks a real change in Being Human. We finally see a real growth of the BH universe and a different type of vampire- the kinky vampire (and it seems type 4's are on the way as well)
I have to say, I'm not sure I was totally happy with this episode...I really hoped Annie would come into her own, but this episode just showed how dependent she still is on the group, especially Mitchell. Also, not totally sure I like Adam (I know he's meant to be a bit of a twit but still). On the plus side I loved the Nina/George goodness -Im glad someone's happy!!!!!!
It looks like sh*t is going down next week so I'm very excited about that! Also, I wonder how old the 'elders' are and if they are going to feature heavily, they could be very interesting!!!

  • Comment number 42.

12 Hillywilly - Yes I have to agree it wasn't as good as last weeks, and infact it was a little weak in places. NOt seriously so, I mean I'm sure things will develop but it lacked something from last week, and the Annie and Mitchell thing is already beginning to irritate me a little too, it's just not working.

  • Comment number 43.

    33. Don't know how much of it is jealousy obviously :O* but even in rational moments and I've said it a few times before I just don't see it and I know I'm in a minority but I don't care. Thats what the blog is for exchanging views. I think the A&M union would be the end cause where do you go when it all goes wrong?? Everyone can hate me now .....

  • Comment number 44.

McNair's carved werewolf stake (werewolf shaped bullet) is all i can see its eating away at me. tonights episode is the worst being human episode ever, i loved adam but all the S&M stuff was over the top. a little bit of s&m reference like when george had the cage built in series 2, worked well but this is just..... lazy writing... i know its to introduce the spin off and in fact i see the irony of george and nina saving a vampire when a werewolf will supposedly kill mitchell but come on was it really necessary to go over the top? i never post blogs but i am really annoyed because i expect better from a show that has only ever been AMAZING!!!!

  • Comment number 45.

    (43) Totally agree with you about A/M, let them hate us haha Your not the only one!

  • Comment number 46.

41 Izi - Good point about Annie yes. Prior to going to Purgatory, Sykes had managed to bring her up to scratch and help her strengthen herself, but it seems all that confidence has dissappeared now. ALmost seems like her power development we were just starting to see at thge end of series 2 is a bit anti-climactic.
Adam seemed like not so much of a important part, but actually after having watched the Becoming Human episode it seems betteer now, although it was a quick transition from scruffy teenager losing his father to accepting his new environment. However I'll watch the Becoming Human episodes with interest.

  • Comment number 47.

42 I admit I'm and Annie/Mitchell fan, but I agree that it didnt work this week. Annie was wayyyy to desperate! As she said she has vested interests in all of them (as they are the only ones who can see her) I get why she would be clingy, but Annie needs to take Mitchells advice and live for herself, otherwise she will just repeat her cycle of bad relationships!

  • Comment number 48.

    AllieMunster & Nevaaprincess
you can add me to the list of nah's for A&M it just messes with the dynamic too much- how will Annie ever get to be a strong character if she's mooning over M all the time and ironing his newspapers?
She needs a bit of GGRR back!!

  • Comment number 49.

43 Nevaaprincess and 45 Allie munster - Have no fear you are not the only ones. It just doesn't feel right. If anything it just feels wrong. My guess is it that its meant to be wrong because it will figure later on in the series. The trailer already shows that its one sided with Mitchell realizing that Annie is coming onto him and that its one sided, possibly.
The only way I can see it is it will create an opportunity for somethng bad to happen, because apart from that it doesn't seem like it has much story in it.

  • Comment number 50.

    Hi All,

Hillywilly, Izi, Blackdog23, I agree slightly - a little dip after Ep1's stunning start.

"Chitchatting..." line hilarious, though, and very curious about "the elders".

  • Comment number 51.

Being Human meets Rocky Horror. Bizarre.

Not sure I liked it - a lot of time spent setting Adam up only for him to walk away at the end. And Annie will really get on my nerves if she insists on clucking round Mitchell like that.

Hope episode 3 shows a return to form.

  • Comment number 52.

evening all :) kind of agree about the annie and mitchell thing, like many other being human plotlines it all feels a bit...ominous :S it would be nice if it wasn't actually but I doubt it lol. however, didn't think this episode was a "dip" after the first one!! especially the george and nina's one liners lol, like a grown up version of scooby doo :D

  • Comment number 53.

51 - WhiteHare - fair point in truth, however I did read somewhere that they said a young lad enters the series early on but appears again once more, so obviously the paths will criss cross over and possibly their story threads will interestingly mingle prehaps again.
Plus of course Lia will make another appearance too I believe, so there's a lot toplay for, and with all that and the type 4 being advertised in the next epi we are all still waiting (baited breaths) to see Herrick once more (and possibly Cara and Daisy?!?)

  • Comment number 54.

52 George and Nina were the undoubted heroes of this episode!!!!

  • Comment number 55.

Don't care what anyone is saying, I loved the Annie/Mitchell scenes. Yes she was a bit clingy and yes she needs to become her own person on her own but they're just adorable and I can't wait for next week to see how things develop.

As for the rest of the episode, George and his "Who wants some of my plant?!" was just plain amazing.

  • Comment number 56.

George was trying to be a fatherly disiplinarian with Adam, but was wasting his time

Was Mitchell packing up to go and join the OLDE one in South America(why south america!)

How would richard and emma get on with vincent olde gang chums?

Can underdstand Adams fear when Emma told him he would be "Needing his strength for me l8er" (go back to Gavin and Stacey hahaha)

  • Comment number 57.

52 Rachipye111 - the episode was good but it didn't quite have the immediacy of last weeks I guess!?!? George and Nina were great, and I'm not saying a bad word against them but they will need some more development too, which I think is what we may or seen in the trailer (plus McNair and son will catch up with them too).

  • Comment number 58.

would sooooooo love a werewolf make over. running through Hamsterly forest or somewhere in Scotland, would be so funny to scare the hell out of a few people

  • Comment number 59.

56 Lycan666 - Yes it looked like Mitchell was definitely packing up to go to South America, of course he wouldn't be on his own if he went, he has Carl there already.

  • Comment number 60.

hillywilly & Blackdog 23, im so glad there's more of us haha thought it was just me being mean! I love Annie & I love Mitchell, just seperatley! Want to see Annie develop more, see her angry & fighting for something cause thats when she's at her best...we dont want another 'Owen' to happen =P I just dont honestly see how it works...if it'll work, we know they'll get together but doesnt mean they'll stay together! C'mon Hunky male ghost, sweep the lovely Annie off her feet

    52. rachpie love the scoobydoo - like shaggy and Scoob save the day ( Richjard and emma - "dang you meddling dogS!")

  • Comment number 63.

60 AllieMunster - Oh I agree I think they may sort of get together, however it only seems it will work if it's to their detriment. Its too safe to just have them become aa couple, it it as I said, creates leverage for something bad to happen (remember Lia had something to do with it, and everyone thought she was suspect in getting her influence in there). As I say if its just them getting together then it doesn't feel right and BHP, in my opinion, would of taken an easy option in the storyline. BHP are better than that so I'm betting it will develop only to go wrong later.

  • Comment number 64.

Crazy Theory of mine for a while set off again by tonights episode. So the Old ones want Mitchell in South America (Bolivia accourding to Ivan & Daisy's prequal)Apparently to save him from the train thing. We obviously haven't met many of the old ones, but what if we have met some of them? Maybe the Bristol brothers & sisters weren't as smoke damaged as we were lead to believe and went to South America and now they want Mitchell to join them??? :O)

  • Comment number 65.

It's improving on second watch. The lad that plays Adam is good. I think I was just expecting a continuation of last week's OMGOMG reaction and not getting it.

Looking forward to Herrick returning too - he is awesome.

  • Comment number 66.

57 blackdog23- actually, just watched it again and i kind of see what you're getting at, it wasn't really pacy or urgent like last time, still can't wait til next week though- zombies!!! :D

  • Comment number 67.

Hi guys...read all the above comments and still think that this was a great episode...my feelings are that Being Human has to introduce new characters and situations ...if it relied on storylines just inclusive of our awesome foursome it would become stilted.

I've never been a fan of a Mitchell/Aannie hook up so agree with many voices above...they can't get too cosy or they become normal...and boring as far as this series is concerned. I liked the fact that Brian Dooley (eps 2 writer) gave a glimpse into how things would be for Annie if she thinks that she can live her life through Mitchell.

  • Comment number 68.

64 Nevaaprincess- oooh intriguing! i kind of like that idea :) i did think it was a bit wierd that they all just DIED :S also, when's herrick going to show up? *sigh* just getting into this now and i have to go to bed- damn it!!!

how good was robyn by the way ? I actually can't call him adam, waaaaaay to much of a young dracula fan for that lol ;)

  • Comment number 69.

Hand on heart here people... Annie is my absolute fave of the crew. When the idea of Annie and Mitchell as a couple was first put to me I was outraged - the anti shipper if you will. As time went on and I saw how the two characters were absolute polar opposites I began to warm to them. Half way through series 2 I was sold (I know, I know) - he has been using his curse as an excuse for being, well essentially a man tart, and Annie has given so much of herself to others that it actually was the death of her. If ever a couple could do with learning things from one and other its these two.
All through Being Human we have seen Annie grow in confidence and inner strength - finding a sense of self. Going to purgatory because she saved the lives of the people she loved meant that Annie should have came back even more empowered - imagine by slapped face when it turned out this wasn't the case!
I almost had to watch through my hands tonight as Annie threw herself at Mitchell, and then the trailer with his head in his hands when he is saying that he thinks she fancies him... jeez. Show the girl some respect!
Oh yeah, I forgot - its only episode two and I have every faith in the BHP team :)

  • Comment number 70.

64 Nevaaprincess, Carl went to Bolivia back in the beginning of episode 2 and he was close friends with Mitchell. Plus we have met an old one before, remember Hetty?

  • Comment number 71.

    68. Their bodies were intact!!!Herrick has been ripped apart but they're bringing him back??? just a theory ;O)

  • Comment number 72.

I was hoping Emma was going to offer him an omelette to go with the blood! I nearly spat my beer out when she disrobed to reveal the basque - I'm not sure if I'll look at Gavin & Stacey in the same way again...

  • Comment number 73.

Anyone else notice the music when adam is just going to feed of his dad?
    - We,re only human - the human league

  • Comment number 74.

69 laurar - yeah, i think they would make a cute couple, but being human doesn't feel right if everyone is completely happy lol. love your description of mitchell as a "Man tart" btw lol :D the only thing is I don't know how she would react to the box tunnel 20 if she knew about it, which is probably why mitchell is pushing her away *sigh* i get far too involved in all this lol :S

right, i REALLY do have to go to bed now, no more comments, or reading or refreshing....probably
    good night everybody xxx

  • Comment number 75.

    70. Hetty was going to 'Bolivia' to join the old ones!! where's Bolivia South America!! where was Herrick going to give Mitchell as an area in series 1 see above - God I love this progamme

  • Comment number 76.

67 Dorina - I couldn't agree more with you. From these 2 episodes alone I have found all the new people in this time around interesting. In of itself it makes it easier to ecpand stoeylines and have them impact or even jigsaw together the four-some.

  • Comment number 77.

damn it, everytime i go to click off the site there are more comments, i have college in the morning!!!! argh!!!! one more comment can't hurt I suppose-

72 chris page- i know lol, gavin and stacey was on BBC1 after and i couldn't bring myself to watch it hehe :D

    right, really, GOOD NIGHT !

  • Comment number 78.

75 Nevaaprincess - Absolutely lol! Hetty was clearly established, by way of introduction by Ivan to Daisy, as "One of the old ones" i.e. the elders.

  • Comment number 79.

64 - Mitchell called Ivan "one of the old ones" but he could have been just trying to feed his ego in that particular scene.

  • Comment number 80.

79 DeadlyFurniture - Yes thats true making Ivan and Hetty representatives of the elders I guess.

  • Comment number 81.

74 racheypie - no they would never be completely happy, like you say its Being Human afterall. How she reacts to the Box Tunnel 20 will be the begining of their "journey" ... or whatever :)

  • Comment number 82.

I can't remember how old Ivan said he was ( over 100 but under 200 !?!) however Hetty back just after the 1940's/50's in Singapore tells them both shes about 460 years old.

  • Comment number 83.

69 - did I miss something in the trailer? When did Mitchell put his head in his hands and talk about Annie?

  • Comment number 84.

    82. I think Ivan was 237? but don't hold me to it lol

  • Comment number 85.

81 Laurar - Exactly if things go fine then that will bring them apart and I suspect right at a moment which could be pivotal to Mitchell. Annie did bad (on one level) by taking Kemp over before his time, however Mitchell has killed hundreds. Getting Annie involved with him may in fact weaken him a bit so that his captors (who are now harassing him through the tv now)have an easier job in taking him down.

  • Comment number 86.

    83. Straight after the episode there was a trailer

  • Comment number 87.

83 - Izi, yes Mitcheell sitting on the sofa and confesses he thinks Annie fancies her, and not in tones of excitement.

84 Actually that does seem about right doesn't it, he tells Mitchell it outright when he gets him to help the others at the funeral parlour to go cold turkey.

  • Comment number 88.

Oh also, I dont know if this has been mentioned but who do people think was in the mortuary at the end of the episode? Adams dad perhaps or our new kinky vampire friends?

  • Comment number 89.

    87. and just before the explosion when Mitchell is getting Ivan to take over in Bristol he says how old he is, how its time to take responsibility and how he arm wrestled Gadaffi OMG i think I need to stop again....

  • Comment number 90.

88 - Interesting yes, there was no need to see an anonymous arm if it was the girl zombie muted for next week as she was already intor'ed as it were. Adam's Dad had passed over without anything being unresolved as he went through the door. It can't be Herrick already can it??????

  • Comment number 91.

87 is that after Being Human or Becoming Human? Because I just rewatched Being Human and I am sure I didnt miss mitchells confession the 2nd time around lol...but it has been a long day..

  • Comment number 92.

89 - No thats ok I was thinking of the reference to Boy Bands doing unsavouary things to Swans myself lol.

  • Comment number 93.

    91 - Ewen posted this at message 37 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKC1-LuQnqU

    there you go.

  • Comment number 94.

Blackdog23, thanks I'm a bit embarrassed that I missed that link. It's probably a sign that I go to sleep lol.

  • Comment number 95.

I might be off too soon even though I have tmorrow off of work *sigh* lol

  • Comment number 96.

I can't pick out a best bit lol just...amazing! Fantastic episode absolutely hilarious and a brilliant behind the scenes video - thanks Mr P and co :-) don't think I've ever laughed so much at an episode - so many brilliant bits! Craig Roberts is going to be...well already is...a massive star he's great x

  • Comment number 97.

    95. Reality sucks I much prefer this, but I have the school run and work tomorrow too :o/ Sweet Dreams all mind the vampires don't bite..... then again I dream of just that lol

  • Comment number 98.

I'm a HUGE Mitchell/Annie fan. And I've been waiting to see them get together since series 1. I always thought they had such a charming and easy going chemistry since day one. And I've noticed that their chemistry was different than the sibling type of chemistry Annie/George had. With Mitchell/Annie, we would get intimate hugs and forehead touching. Just the little things that seemed more "romantic" rather than sibling like in comparison to George/Annie.

And when the Mitchell/Annie kiss happened in episode 2 of series 1, I think that was a huge hint. A platonic kiss is one where it's on the cheek. A romantic kiss is the one that is on the lips. Even if that was an "accidental" kiss, it was still a hint from the writers, in my opinion. And then we later had huge pivotal scene in episode 6 of series 1 where Mitchell/Annie talked on the kitchen floor. And if you notice their facial expressions, they were looking at each others' lips.

So I do think the build up for Mitchell and Annie has been there from day one. I think in series 2, Mitchell/Annie's interaction was VERY limited because the writers wanted to make Mitchell a bit darker...and to show him losing his way. I don't think that would have happened if Annie was still a close presence in his life. Instead, they showed their isolation, sort of.

Then comes episodes 7 and 8 of series 2 which further develop Mitchell/Annie. He TRIES to kiss her again and reveals to her that he has thought of her in the romantic sense. Hence his comment about "imagining her without her clothes on." SO to me, that is not platonic at all. Then we have the scene in episode 8 where he FELT her being ripped away. Again, I took that as a romantic connection. He did not know that she was dragged through the door...he did not see it. But he felt it.

And NOW, we have series 3, and I'm so glad that the writers are finally developing the romance with Mitchell and Annie fully and completely. It's a very equal sided relationship. Mitchell risked EVERYTHING to go and find her in purgatory. He went to the horrible ideal of remembering his victims so that he could get Annie back. He could have quit and left. But he didn't.

I think Lenora/Aidan are perfection on the screen together. They have an electric chemistry that truly shines.

And that is why there are SO MANY music videos for Mitchell and Annie on Youtube. After the series 3 premiere last week, there has been tons and tons more of videos added. And if you read the comments on twitter, fans are thrilled about the pairing.

So I'm just happy that I get to see their romance continue next week! They will get together. I just think Mitchell is worried due to the werewolf prophecy and the massacre hanging over his head. So he is preoccupied with lots of angst. But he TRULY loves Annie. There is no doubt about that. And it's not just a friendship love. I mean, again, the guy came onto her in a very intimate manner in series 2. So there is no other explanation for that.

Also, Mitchell/Annie pairing is quite popular right now. There are online websites for them all over the place. As well as fan art and music videos.
