It's true what they say, there ain't no party like a vampire party where everyone wears leather thongs and drinks the blood of a guy spread-eagled on a snooker table. Wait, does anyone actually say that? No? Well maybe they should do.

This is of course the story of Adam, the teenage vampire in need of guidance. A trip to Richard & Emma's house with their 'ways and means' sounded like a solution, but it soon became apparent this was the last thing the boy needed. This week we've gone behind the scenes to show you the reality of the vampire party... and we can honestly say it's the only Being Human set we've ever been on where the main problem has been chafing.

THIS IS NOT THE END FOR ADAM

Adam's life continues in our new online drama Becoming Human, where he's about to get drawn into a dark and deadly mystery. With Mitchell's sound advice "Surround yourself with good people" still ringing in his ears, he's gone back to college to control the bloodlust and get on with his life. But things turn very strange very quickly when he meets a werewolf and the ghost of a dead pupil... follow the mystery on our brand new Becoming Human website.

Trust us, Adam's story has only just begun.

Adam's Family 24 Hour Countdown

The second episode of Being Human, entitled Adam's Family (They're creepy and they're kooky... you know the song), is now less than 24 hours away, but what do we know?

Well, let's start with that title.... Adam's family. Adam is a teenage vampire that comes crashing into the foursome's lives like only a teenage boy can, i.e. causing havoc, smelling of stale sweat and trying to crack on to everything that moves. His family situation is a little 'unusual' and soon it's up to Annie, Mitchell, George and Nina to give him a little guidance. But are they really the best ones to be giving advice?

Adam is the stuff of Being Human legend, so make sure you're watching our new online drama Becoming Human to follow the next exciting and mysterious chapter in his life.

Now the gang are reunited and have a place to live they need to find jobs. As we've seen from the latest preview clip, Annie's efforts at helping Mitchell don't exactly go to plan. First Owen and now this... It seems Annie might not be cut out for the whole 'guardian angel' thing after all.

All this plus lots, lots more in episode two of Being Human, airing Sunday at 9pm on BBC Three.

The countdown has begun...

Hold onto your hat (and your neck) because the Being Human world is about to get a lot bigger.

We're launching Becoming Human, a brand new online drama that's going to get you hooked.

Becoming Human features Adam, a teenage vampire who causes havoc in the Being Human house this Sunday - much to the despair of Annie, Mitchell, George and Nina.

But there's more.

Adam's about to get drawn into a dark and dangerous mystery... We can't say much more just yet, but above is a sneak preview to give you a taste of this brand new show. Don't forget, Becoming Human lives online and has a new episode every week, so head to the brand new Becoming Human website at 10pm this Sunday, straight after Being Human ends, to watch the show.

In the mean time, the first clues to the mystery have already begun to appear on the site... trust me, you don't want to miss this.

Our heroes have landed in Wales and it's about time Mitchell got himself a job.

Now we're all aware Mitchell's good at many things, including but not limited to biting people, sucking their blood and making bad decisions.

It looks like job interviews shouldn't be added to that list...

INSIDE THE CAGE

There's no better feeling than having the family back together. Annie's returned, the foursome have a new home and all seems back to normal.

Well, apart from the Lia's prophecy that Mitchell will be killed by a 'wolf-shaped bullet'. And George getting arrested for a public decency offence. And the news constantly reporting the box tunnel murders. And mysterious new werewolves in town. And vampires running organised supernatural vs human death matches.

Yeah apart from THAT it's all back to normal.

The cage fights were some of the biggest and most complex in Being Human history. Set in an abandoned swimming pool, the shoot had multiple cameras, hoards of extras and litres of that being human favourite - fake blood. Watch our exclusive behind the scenes video to see exactly what happened on this most chaotic of days, and find out how new actors Michael Socha (Tom), Robson Green (McNair) and Paul Kaye (Vincent) felt about becoming part of our supernatural family.

And now Being Human is back, tell us... What did you think?

lia 24 hour countdown

"What happens now Mitchell? What do we do?"
"We're going to get her back."

With these immortal words a chapter of our story was closed and Being Human was put into hibernation for another series. Until now. The wait has been long, the fans have been patient and the theories have come thick and fast. Will Annie return? Where will our heroes live? What will be the next challenge they must face?

These questions and more are about to be answered. The first episode of the new series, entitled Lia, will begin this Sunday at 9pm on BBC Three. And we want to make it a night to remember.

The show would be nothing without you guys, the fans, so we want to hear your blog comments, tweets and Facebook shout-outs before, during and after the show. We'll be there every step of the way, retweeting the best of your Twitter messages and reading each and every comment. And don't forget, our tweets now pull through to the homepage so you could end up with a starring role on the portal to the BH world.

When the episode is over and the adrenaline's still coursing you need to get back here to the blog and share your thoughts with the rest of the BH community. Of course we'll have a little surprise, bringing you a brand new behind the scenes feature from one of the most elaborate setups Being Human has ever seen.

New for this year we'll also bring you our episode highlights, squeezing all the emotion and action of a Being Human episode into one killer video.

In less than 24 hours all Lia's secrets will be revealed.

Do. Not. Miss. It.

BH3 LAUNCH DATE

Post categories:

Garret Keogh, Online Editor | 15:19 PM, Wednesday, 12 January 2011

Being Human returns 23rd January 2011

Being Human returns to BBC Three on Sunday 23rd January 2011.

Mitchell, George and Nina are all BACK. And Annie... well, we can only hope.

This year's series is set to be better than ever, with the awesome foursome moving over the border to Wales in an effort to escape their past and start a new life. But things are never simple, and Mitchell's first job is to venture into purgatory and rescue Annie before she gets sent to hell.

But it's not just the amazing storylines we're looking forward to, there's also the guest stars to consider, including Lacey Turner (Eastenders), Robson Green (Wire In The Blood), Michael Socha (This Is England '86), Paul Kaye (It's All Gone Pete Tong), Craig Roberts (Young Dracula), Nicola Walker (Spooks), James Fleet (Vicar Of Dibley) and Jason Watkins returning as the unstoppable force that is Herrick.

Being Human creator Toby Whithouse said "A third series is a unique opportunity because it allows you to take all the best bits of series one and series two... What we took from series one is the domestic element and very strong stories of the week with very strong guest characters. Series two had much more of an epic sweep and a breadth of ambition. Series three has allowed us to combine all those things."

We've also got Becoming Human, our online extension that pushes the Being Human universe into new territory. Set in a college where supernaturals study among the living, a new host of characters will be trying to solve a very grizzly murder.

For more information on everything Being Human has to offer this year check out the latest press release.

Oh, and one question... are you excited?

A NEW HOME FOR BEING HUMAN

Post categories:

Garret Keogh, Online Editor | 14:29 PM, Tuesday, 11 January 2011

Annie, Mitchell, George and Nina have a new home in series three and we wanted one too, so welcome to the brand new Being Human website.

Have a root around and check out the new character profiles, series histories and the never-before-seen artwork that runs throughout. The background shot is the attic from the new house, a room that plays a major role in the second half of the series. But that's all we'll say for now.

We've added quotes, tweets and your comments to the homepage because, well, I guess it's just because we love you. But before this gets too mushy, let's cut this ribbon and declare the new site OPEN. We look forward to sharing our excitement, joy, laughter, despair, fear, grief and all those other gut-wrenching Being Human emotions within its pages.

Look out for additional character profiles as new faces pop up in the series, and continue to check the mighty Being Human Blog for all your news, videos and updates.

And tell us... what do you think of the new site?
