BH2: MAKE A BEING HUMAN PUMPKIN
Be honest, what is Halloween without a pumpkin? Nothing. Nada. Zip. *insert another word for 'nothing' here* So we here at BH Blog Towers have created this handy picture guide to get you making your very own Being Human pumpkin. Good luck!
Step1 - The easiest step... Get a pumpkin.
Step 2 - Cut a hole in the top with a knife. BE CAREFUL! Fingerless gloves don't really work if you chop off your fingers.
Step 3 - Scoop out the insides of the pumpkin and get rid... eurgh.
Step 4 - Print off the Being Human name...
Step 5 - Stick it to your pumpkin. It doesn't look too impressive at this stage, but it gets better...
Step 6 - Using a compass, cocktail stick, or other pointy instrument, carefully poke holes around the edges of your design...
Step 7 - Use a knife or specialist pumpkin carving tool (we found ours in the supermarket) to join the dots...
Step 8 - Add light and... voila! You are a pumpkin-carving god!

As a nice environmentally-friendly and healthy alternative, don't throw away the seeds but roast them - nummy if you like pumpkin seeds!
Apparently British pumpkins are much harder to carve than American ones too...

Hi all....already got a G&T on the go and I've only been in 5 mins....you can tell it has NOT been a good day..however, my probs are little ones compared with some so I will not complain.

(9) I don't know! And she didn't even seem all that hyped up about it either, it was just an off-the-topic comment "Oh, yeah, I've met Mitchell..." (she didn't even know his real name. Oh woe.) I don't think she realises what a jealousness-maker it is. She can say that sort of stuff to me (I don't care who it is; I'd swoon at the chance to meet the person who makes the coffee), but keep going on like that and she'll end up in a gutter somewhere! Eek. Must get more info for Aidan-adicts like yourself (I'm assuming you're on the AT list rather than the RT or AP list?)where and how and why and all the rest.

No,it's not the brunette thing; she's about 13 yrs old and I believe her crush-space is all taken up by J.Barrowman and John Sergeant (don't ask, I never did understand that myself). I will GRILL her for you (yes for you, specially, you have not to fear that I will keep the precious information all to myself). However, I am unsure whether she meant that she MET him or she SAW him, which is most likely as her dad's house is a stone's throw away from the pinkie on Totterdown.... anglo (17): Oh no, innocent no.... she just has bad taste. No good on the facebook front, there are too many with her name and no description or photo, so I can't tell which one's her. I will get more info ASAP. And as I said, I'm doing it all for those of you on the AT list (I gave up my place. As I said on a previous page, I seem to have the same potential for a girly crush as a slab of granite.)
VF (14): They're wearing fingerless gloves for the asthetics. Maybe it was cold over there. No, they probably took them off to actually carve the thing, as those hands look rather un-Aidan-ish (although you never know....)

VF (19)..yes, you know who it is...I remember you mentioning him some time ago when we were describing....ulp....things....the stuff that weirdly doesn't necessarily get you a visit from the M people but which is a bit explicit anyway...

I've always wondered how to do the carving part properly. i did try once but it was a disaster and i nearly lost a thumb in the process.
In relation to the owner of the gloves, don't think its Aid as his gloves are black and his fingers are broader too - when you see them in full frame! not that i'm obsessed at all just observent!

(23) You buy a 'specialist pumpkin knife' from your local hardware store/supermarket. It makes it a lot easier to carve, and they're a lot less dangerous finger-wise.

yeah see i didn't know that 5 years ago when i last tried, i just picked up an average knife and started hacking away. Suprising how stress relieving it was lol.

We can buy pumpkins cheap on Sunday and have a go at hacking them to death on Sunday afternoon when we're at the flat...they'll be going cheap by then cos no-one will want them hehe you can take yours home (if we get a small one) if we shove it in the fridge until it's time for you to head back, keep it fresh...give it a name or something....George the pumpkin!

BeingHumanProduction - totally unrelated but any chance we could have some info on the US version of the show? Is it going to be made by our guys? Same production company? Written by Toby? Not sure how these things work. And also - how come they get 13 episodes and we only get 6/8 :-( oh well quality not quantity I suppose :-P

By the way I had a bit of an incident with some fake blood earlier - got it all over my hadns they have now swollen up like god knows what think if I want fake blood I'd best make some Aidan stylie (I'm pretty sure anything Aidan stylie would be...actually never mind I dont want VF having a heart attack) but yeah not good :-S why must I be allergic to things its really not attractive - so nobody get any on my on saturday for gods sake lol
