Lights... camera... WEREWOLF!

Yes, it's the first few days of filming and the gang are back in Totterdown, Bristol, shooting top secret scenes for the new series. We caught up with Aidan and Russell at the end of the day to see how it felt to be back in the neighbourhood.

So, Mr. Turner is feeling hot and sweaty...well after last night's Des Roms...welcome to my world. They seem really exited about being back don't they?? Did they listen to us about Otters??

    Thanks again Team.

P.S. Tell that woman to stop running her fingers through his hair.

  • Comment number 2.

HA! They listened they got them to say it! :-D Well that has just made my day big time lol haha can't believe they did it...well nearly ahh that made giggle thanks Mr.P :-) I think I promised you something if you got them to say it but I can't quite remember what lol you'll have to remind me.

I agree though - leave his hair alone me and VF are in enough trouble after last nights desperate romantics without all the hair fluffing and talk of smelling nice and being...sweaty and...oh dear lol

Brilliant video though love love love it!!

  • Comment number 3.

Bet he wished he didn't have the gloves now though...favourite bits "you got a headache now darling?" Lol and "Shut up!" Ahh had such a rubbish week and this has cheered me up big time thanks blog team :-D

  • Comment number 4.

Hmm last thing - why do they show us the close up of the street name...are they wanting stalkers? I mean...enthusiastic fans? If so I am as free as a bird for the next few days...you just need to ask :-D I'm not comfortable being a stalker but being invited...I'm perfectly happy with that :-D

  • Comment number 5.

Otters, totterdown, talking about being hot and sweaty!! dear god he knows how to make a girl all of a flutter! great to see them filming again, great video!!

  • Comment number 6.

Right, I have calmed slightly...enough to realise that I still cannot watch these vids on my machine at home...I have tried everything but nothing is working....it is all the bbc progs that I cannot get, other stuff like You Tube etc. is fine. Has anyone got any ideas, please, getting desperate now...not funny anymore.

  • Comment number 7.

Loved this little clip..clever, clever BH Production team to feed us these snippets ...Jan 2010 seems a long way off for BH2 but you're keeping us all online and panting for more.
I won't continually go on about the beautiful one looking even more..well, beautiful.
Russell really makes me laugh.." you smell the same certainly "...he's so into the series and being with the others again..he's such a sweetie.
Liking the new look for Sinead ( Nina)..she's looking more sophisticated in this clip

What sort of job description involves stroking hair of the beautiful one and how do I apply for this job please on the BH crew?

  • Comment number 8.

Are they keeping Aidan's hair the same as last season? Or roughly the same? I'm all disappointed now. :( It looks really really good more scruffy and ruffled up. Not that it doesn't look really really good anyway. Just that it was even better scruffy.

  • Comment number 9.

Yeah, is it my imagination or is Mitchell better looking than Rossetti?

  • Comment number 10.

Mitchell is a bit better looking than Rossetti. I blame the sideburns.

  • Comment number 11.

    aww ain't they just lovely

and otters and totterdown great just great thanks team

oh and eagle i think you told them you would get them some party rings and some tea if they got him to say it

I'm so looking forward to the new series i just cant believe your making us wait till January

  • Comment number 12.

I've just had a brilliant idea....if we all put up our christmas tree and decs now.....surely January will come quicker...simple

  • Comment number 13.

Mitchell is slightly better looking than Rossetti, I think possibly because Aidan has more stubble when he's being Mitchell. Though as Rossetti he's not exactly been hit with the ugly stick:)

  • Comment number 14.

Vampfan: Or it would come exactly the same time and we'll look stupid for having our decorations up in august...

Star: I still say it's the sideburns But yeah more stubble may play a part.

  • Comment number 15.

you see, I had not really thought it through...was just tryng to help! (still reeling from last night)

  • Comment number 16.

You were just thinking of the positives. You needed someone to chip in with the negatives.

  • Comment number 17.

Hehe see I think I prefer Rosetti I like the artisty ways...and the sideburns...although I have to say Mitchell and vampire ways and stubble are also all very very very sexy...oh dear think I've gone again lol.

Party rings and tea? Right so when do you want them brought to the set? :-)

  • Comment number 18.

Too funny. :D Thank you BH team!
Btw it was "three thousand otters tottering about in Totterdown." But I'll forgive you. ;)

  • Comment number 19.

Hehe well I said nearly...maybe you'll just get the party rings this time - if they say the other half then you can get the tea to dunk em in :-D

  • Comment number 20.

Hey eagle :) Any party rings for me?

  • Comment number 21.

Brilliant! Thanks BH. I would've liked the otters in Totterdown spoken in a lovely Dublin accent but hey never mind.

  • Comment number 22.

    Oh, damn you, Aidan!
I was at Bristol 2 days ago and wandered around Totterdown for a whole hour with the hope of finding some filming going on! I then wandered up and down Bath Road for a further two hours until I could find something, which I didn't! My feet are still aching!
(And yes, I was wearing some very Annie boots I got for £8 from Primark!)
Well, I don't have time to go back there for a long time, but if and when I do, Aidan, Russell and Lenora are getting big Valentino bags whacked in their faces for making me walk so much!
    Still...have pity on me!

  • Comment number 23.

Super if you can get them to say the other half of the sentence you can have some party rings too :-)

Drivingsuzanne now you know I have a tiny little soft spot for Russell so that was fine by me and the fake little irish twang was very nice :-)

I just can't believe they got them to say it :-) made me giggle

  • Comment number 24.

Man this cheered me up after getting me A level results the other day.
    Got a D in drama :(
Nice to see someone in the buisness having fun!
    Thanks guys

  • Comment number 25.

Awww, wow.. Im in guersey atm, so im closer to them all ! :LL,

Now I know why a fell in love with this Tv program.. Its so different.. and has that little bit of naughtieness aswell as that humor :)

    :') xxx

  • Comment number 26.

Btw, I think Mitchell is better lookin than Rossetti :)
    because:
    - The hair .. shorter is better on him, not to short though.
    - And yes Cieria, Those are funny lookin side burns :P x
    - I think he does look ALOT nicer in moden clothes- particualy black
brings out his eyes and hair ^.^ :P & makes him hot and sweaty :x

    :)

  • Comment number 27.

Wow it's been a while since I posted here.

    Season one spoiler warning!

So, Sinead's big hair, I'm assuming it's indicating a more sexual, more...animal Nina (although she was pretty sexual to start with *grin*). Guess this means that George definitely was the one to scratch her? (There has been speculation in some of the discussion groups I belong to that it may be a red herring and it was actually Mitchell scratched her. Or have I missed a blog and I should already know for definite?)

Bristol is only about an hour away from where I live, I'm sensing a road trip :)

    Is it January yet?

  • Comment number 28.

I want to go to Bristol too !

  • Comment number 29.

This might sound a bit odd, but its been driving me mad, does anyone know what make and model Mitchell's car is? (Aiden and Russel are sitting on it in this clip).

  • Comment number 30.

i'm a heretic on this site as i've only watched one episode but found the acting absolutely stupendous. however.... unfortunately i've type cast aidan turner into the role of rossetti for the meantime i'm afraid! less bloody and more loveable rogue-ish - although now sadly that has ended. it would seem, however, that a a huge wave of the english female tv watching public have completely and utterly fallen for him and claiming rights to him!

i have a friend who lives in totterdown under orders to kidnap on sighting, but then again i've had a mob on command to lassoo johnny depp on sighting and drag him to my doorstep but unfortunately to no avail so far - so not holding my breath!! (thankfully i'm just joking here...)

  • Comment number 31.

Glad to know you are just joking....otherwise...yes, you are a heretic.

Maybe, if there is a 'huge wave of the english female tv watching public who have fallen for him'....there is a reason for it..mmm..interesting...wonder what it could it be??

  • Comment number 32.

by the fact you added the "english" bit I'm guessing you american? In which case yes we have climed him lol or else you're Irish and well then he's yours reaally :-P

oh and what the hells a heretic? not come across that word before :-S

  • Comment number 33.

I did of course mean claimed not climed lol

  • Comment number 34.

hello ladies... (or you could be gentlemen - it's good to keep an open mind these days!)

well... yes... it's pretty obvious why everyone is fawning over him! after his performance in desperate romantics he's now up in my top 3 favourite actors -he's really talented. can't wait to see him casted in more dramas. nope, not american, i live in bristol, uk and my friend who lives in totterdown literally lives down the road from where they shoot. i haven't ventured down there i have to say. am watching my second episode as i type. i called myself a heretic cos i'm not worshiping the programme as much as u guys...(prob a rubbish choice of word) i don't have much time for tv unfortunately!

    hope you're enjoying the series!

  • Comment number 35.

What I wan't to know is when is Mitchell going to get his kit off.

  • Comment number 36.

Ok, firstly, LOVING series one, Aiden is Dreamy as both Mitchell and Rosetti, Russell is fantastic, as is the whole cast really. Completely peeved however that I can't watch any of the vid clips as I don't live in the UK. Used to live in Totterdown though, and the house looks exactly like the one I used to have a flat in, What street is it on in Totterdown? Does anyone know?

  • Comment number 37.

As much as we all would love to see Mitchell get his kit off I can't see this happening...wouldn't really fit in with the feel and vibe of the show. That doesn't mean to say that te beautiful one won't reveal all again ( well, not all but you know what I mean) in some other British or Irish production as he's now viewed as HOT in the uk...mind you, I read somewhere recently that he's a little embarrassed now about his sex scenes in Desperate Romantics..I don't think he's a natural extrovert like Russell.
For all Americam cousins who haven't seen Desperate Romantics and therefore Rossetti in action...what a treat awaits if you get the DVD!

trined70..the street in Totterdown is Windsor Terrace and I don't think it was flats..I think it was a pub which has now been sold

  • Comment number 38.

I'm an American fan who just started watching the show on BBC America and I am absolutely hooked. I can't wait for Season 2 to start but I have no idea when that will be. I'm not sure when the television seasons begin and end in the UK. Can someone enlighten me as to how long I must wait, please? I've been reading the blog comments and find that though I speak English like all of you, I don't understand a lot of the "lingo" that you use. I also never knew that we spelled so many words differently. I find it amazing. Anyway, what does "get his kit off" mean? Also, during the season finale, Nina pulled up her sleeve to reveal scratch marks. Did George scratch her? Will she now be a werewolf, too?

  • Comment number 39.

This is a terrible admission of guilt, I'm old enough to know better.. yes peoples senior vampire is dusky and beautiful but .. Mr Tovey is so very very dreamy, his kindly voice, his twinkly eyes and ears..before any 'change' takes place.. I have a most terrible and wonderful crush

I am so glad that the wee pilot that I saw on tv a few years ago (and entirely loved)was either popular enough, or was seen by Auntie to be worthy - was invested in. Damn it - I saw Firely and Farscape (both wonderful then, great characters, great scenarios, great effects..) dumped by the 'investors' - I felt as though my type of story and love of huaminty through 'unhuman' human tales would never be invested in again, especially given tightening of production purse strings. Pure joy! Thany you Aunty and thank you fine producers, script writers, and (dreamily) Senior Tovey.

Keep up the exceedingly fine work(and btw Sugar Rush was initially brilliant - no research on my behalf - but what are those writers up to now?)

Much apreciation and cudos, in a word of (mostly, even in the UK) entertainemnt poopy time waisting dross xx

PS - re: the American comment- 'kit' = clothes, thus 'kit off' = dirty young eager folks x

    Alice x

  • Comment number 40.

Daisyde...welcome...but 'senior' vampire? The beautiful one is only 1 year older than me and I consider us both babes!!!!!

Joannw...yeh...'get your kit off' universal lingo for get naked baby!
Don't worry about other lingo...bloggers are not worried usually about spellings...there's litle difference between American/English spellings.Experienced bloggers ( not me...I was a blog virgin until earlier this year) have other language/symbols/shortcuts which I don't always get but just join in the fun and enjoy.

We're assuming that Nina as scratched by George and hence will have become a werewolf but...Toby is such a great writer that all I can think is 'expect the unexpected'
Second series of BH running in January in uk but can't say when in USA

  • Comment number 41.

Hey every1. Am new to blogging but LOVE da show. 2010 seems like so far away. :P I am in love with Aidan's accent which is partly y he is sexier as Mitchel than Rosetti in desperate romantics.

To the american, hi! I just got bak from new york nd new england. Usualli it takes a lot longer for english dramas to air in the us but if u want to watch it wen it comes out in britain u shud just go on bbc iplayer or youtube or summit.Or just take a LONG vacation nd watch the whole series in england!!! lol.

    :)

  • Comment number 42.

I'm a fan in the U.S. also, and I'm very disappointed I can't see all of the vids. The BBC iplayer doesn't work for us (they are even blocking some of the recent ones at the BBC site on youtube.)

Why is that? I could see the episodes, as it takes awhile for them to get here and they don't want to undercut BBC America, but the making of vids and extras? Come on, give U.S. fans a break. (I also think it's unfair people outside the U.S. can't see vids on U.S. sites. Seriously, what harm could it do, and it excites the fans for more.)

  • Comment number 43.

Just got done watching the first disk of BH season one with my mate, howling good show. Nice to see us werefolk in positive rolls ;) Wish I could see the season 2 previews too, us "septics" will just have to hunt elsewere. I love the old school special effects, Russell's acting really brings them alive. Two questions, why does it say "spirits" on the glass of their front door? Why does the front door have no handle? Hope Tully returns, wolves need their pack.

  • Comment number 44.

To brownirisheyes: Thank you for enlightening me. I appreciate it. To RockinBlonde: Thank you, also, for your answer to my blog. I live in New England, in the state of Rhode Island. I hope you enjoyed your visit here. I would LOVE to visit England but doubt that I'll ever be able to, so it's really nice to watch a little bit of it on television. I still don't know when Season 2 will be available to us in the U.S. I guess all of us American fans will just have to wait.

  • Comment number 45.

To joannw. I went to New Port Rhode Island nd it ws really nice, u r so lucky to live dere. (If its around bout da same place).

I feel so sorri 4 all u american fans who hav 2 wait 4 such an awsome show.

I dont get the "otters in totterdown" thing can any1 explain pleese?

Still so excited nd the crew look like dere havin so much fun. Any job vacvancies? :)
    X

  • Comment number 46.

    Warning-possible spoiler!!

Watched Being Human episodes 5 and 6 last night-rec dvd thru post-not disappointed=Mitchell has top off in hospital scene-phwoarrr!!! What an adonis of beauty Mr. Turner is!! Grrr!

  • Comment number 47.

Am new to this blogging stuff so bear with me.

Gotta agree with Superjules....Mr T is great with shirt on or off but he certainly made an old woman very happy when I saw him last week. Oooerrr. I'm really getting into BH this time round, couldn't the first time, don't know why. Now I'm rooted to the sofa on Thursday nights but only for tomorrow and next week and then we have to wait!! Unfair or what? Roll on 2010...:-D

  • Comment number 48.

.....and while I'm on the subject, I'd like to know about the "otters in Totterdown" stuff is too as I don't have a clue. The vid was funny. I live in Bristol and see films crews up on The Downs doin' their stuff, don't know if it's BH they're filming tho I'd love to see them at it, so to speak. Why are they all seeming to have such a good time?? Unfair or what. Superj : Haven't seen episodes 5 or 6 but have definitely Mr T with his shirt and everything else off....must go and have cold shower now. ;-D

  • Comment number 49.

to eagle_eyes4...Its not called stalking...its called coincidentally running into them! Which is hard to do in the US!:(

  • Comment number 50.

magicHazzza, Mitchell's car is a 1964 Volvo Amazon 122S. I have a slightly later car in the same colour and was baffled when people asked me whether I was a vampire or not............worked it out soon enough.

  • Comment number 51.

I can't believe I've been missing all this, Russell's closing comment and the look on Aiden's face when he realised - priceless. Thank you!!!!
