AROOOO!! Exciting news today... there will be new special effects in series two, as well as modifications to the existing ones to make them uglier, scarier and more realistic.
Not only that, but these modifications are being made as we speak. And to prove it, we caught up with special effects supremo Rob Meyer who let us take a peek inside the workshop where all the monster magic happens.

Okay when is Being Human coming to America. Please-we do not have anything as good as Being Human here. I know it is on BBC America but that is it. I would love to see it available on other networks as well. You guys are great and I just LOVED Series 1. I am looking forward to Series 2!!!!

I have always thought that one of the most interesting jobs in the world would be someone who sources and aquires props for TV and films, you know a 1940's radio in India or a 1960's washing machine in Poland. But I reckon guys who work in SFX have a pretty good job too. Imagine getting paid to create things to play with. It must be great to have that sort of ..well, free-thinking imagination. Loving George's new look.

Yet again blocked from viewing these bits of brilliance. Blocked here and blocked at Youtube... what did I ever do to you guys? :-( At least throw a few down BBC America's way. A girl can only wait for so long... but I will because I absolutely love this show. Glad to hear that George is getting a new look. I'm assuming it's a better werewolf costume. In the mean time I will wait and glean information from the words of posters like eagle_eyes4, vampfan, midnightSparkelgirl, and other BH fan forums. Keep posting!

I'm wondering, and hoping, that the new special fx will not only apply to George and Nina....I'm seeing a whole new 'skill set' and maybe more for Mitchell and Annie...and any passing vampires/ghosts.
Really looking fd to getting sneak preview of these in action soon ( pretty please BHteam)
My sister/brother in Canada/Australia have same frustration over video clips...can't quite work out why some ( but not all) are blocked on youtube.

Well, that's me for today kiddies. (As the sarky vicar says....time to put away childish things)...got to be a dutiful wife, mother and God help me ...daughter-in-law...Cooking evening meal for 9 people. Evening all is anyone still here? Just had a ridiculously healthy tea all the product of my mothers garden coming round heres starting to feel like stepping into an episode of the good life...so to make up for the stupid amount of vegetables that I've just had to endure is there gonna be some nice little treats for us tonight? Though sometimes he can lose his accent a bit. He goes very un-accented in Random Shoes for example (I hate that episode but we do see our lovely Ianto in the blue suit. That's the one that suits him best. ;)

Because my mother's a nightmare lol "her house her rules" its always been the same from being a kid - but not just for me it also goes for my nan, other relatives, blokes, the lot lol except for christmas or parties - then the rules are allowed waver slightly :-P by half an hour or so :-)

... sorry accidently pressed post there. Anyway so something came up asking for us to name it and my brother pointed out that our main computer is called Picasso (don't ask. My dad named it.) So obviously my brain connected the fact that Rossetti and Picasso are both painters and blurted out the name. So now thanks to Aidan, and the fact that the bit of my brain which stops my every thought coming out of my mouth momentarily forgetting to function, our wii is now called Rossetti.

@BeingHumanProduction That's not the problem getting to the vids, it's just a little weak that there is a copyright restriction/not available in your country thingy coming up when I try to upload the new vids.
Spare a thought for those of us living in Ireland that really want to see the vids and have watched it since the pilot on BBC Three.

cant wait to see what series 2 brings. ive been lucky enough to have a play with the puppets from series 1 and they look superb in person. got mates working on series 2 and would love to know whats going on but they are sworn to secrecy the gits lol. Sure Neill , Rob and the millenium crew wont let us down though. Bring on the wolfy dudes !!!

Ah Lionesskeeper...good to have a fellow Irish soul on the blog..how goes it?
Sympathies re blocks on videoclips...I only really saw the problem first hand over the weekend when back in Dublin and my youngest sister having same issues..she can see clips uploaded by individuals but not by BBC or other companies..don't understand this..I thought Youtube was all about access..perhaps BHteam can explain.
Mind you...I've been blocked from downloading from an American weblink with clips on one of their programmes so it must be about copyright or payment or something...sure that some more knowledgeable soul on the blog can explain.
Not that I think that the beautiful one has the time to look at the videoclips posted by BH Productions but it's kinda ironic that when he's home Aidan wouldn't be able to see them even if he wanted to.

It's going good brownirisheyes. That problem your sister is having is the same as I'm having at times. But for me it's the new BH clips that are locked.Am really hoping for an explaination on this matter as it's becoming a real buzzkill for me.

I LOVE THE SHOW!
I live in the SF BayArea, CA. and get the show on cable. It's a nice reprieve to see monsters on TV again. The FX are old school that ROCKS!! (I have a 3d background and the US has too much,, ssshhh don't tell any one I said that.)
So a warewolf, a ghost and a vampire, all with good souls. I wonder about the writers and the directors. Very good story lines, kind'a reminds me of Buffy the Vampier Slayer. About how evil can reside in a good person or will it over time take over there souls, can it be retreived back? What made Mitchell change from a vamp who loves killing to one that hates it? What leads you to the dark path or brings you out? Highly thought provoking. I think they should some how incorproate Dr. Jekel & Mr. Hyde.
Can't wait for Season 2 to come out!! (sorry for the mis-spelled words,never was my strong suit.)

no, no...can't have Mitchell going to Candy Mountain ( with Charlie or with anyone else for that matter)..all that 'candy' would have our hero tripping out...out would come the fangs and the eyes and it would be hello to blood again.

I'm getting rather worried about my life... at the moment I'm arguing with one of my friends because he says that all the fridges in BH are the same and I'm disagreeing with him. (I think we only see the two. The one in the house and then the one in Fleur and Bernie's kitchen in ep 4?) Anyway that pretty much proves I have no life yeah? :(

Okay, I've watched the clips through a few times. I'm pretty sure that Annie, Mitchell and George's fridge is a Baumatic, whereas Fleur's fridge is a frigidaire. So completely different fridges.
Incidently I did just read the writing on the front of the fridges. I'm not some kind of fridge enthusiast who can tell what make a fridge is just by looking at it. lol.

New fanvid please focusing on the beautiful one ( my beautiful one rather than your beautiful one)......perhaps using some clips from recent BHteam clips posted here and...even more exciting...woven in with some Rossetti clips...the sexier the better...all set to 'Sex on Fire ' ( kings of Leon). watched a few XFactor clips this morning online and a guy ( he was v. good) was singing this and I'd forgotten that I hadn't listened to them for a while.

Eagle, actually the tops of the fridge are different. Only slightly but Fleur's is more curved. Anyway yeah they're very similar and they could have gotten away with the same fridge. I mean who's looking at the fridges? I wouldn't have looked if my friend hadn't said anything.
New fanvids would be fun.
And I didn't actually hear Jonathan Ross this morning but I saw the picture on LJ. I might check it out later if I have time. Or energy. lol.

Im still considering the convention but kinda depends who ends up going off here - a few of my friends are into BH but not quite to the geek level I am lol and the tickets are soooooooo expensive.
NOTE TO BHPRODUCTION any thoughts on a competition to win a couple of tickets? The winner could take photos and do a nice little write up for the blog?? Go ooooooooooooon you know you want to...

About the con, I expect there are rules why the BBC don't want to advertise events? I don't think I've seen such adverts before so there must be a reason why.
