She is well out of order this time... she actually hit me. Seriously, what is her problem?

  • Comment number 1.

Well that was unpredicted if you're an idiot well I was expecting a shin kick so unpredicted.

  • Comment number 2.

I agree with adam, she was a bit out of order, it was just a photo. Perhaps something else was going on...

Did anyone else notice the caretaker at the end?

  • Comment number 3.

hmm... she is showing her more aggressive side.

ye in the distance the janny casually mopping

  • Comment number 4.

I didn't entirely get the anger. It was amusing for us seeing her there, but he didn't put he picture there, did he? Hadn't it been there on the board for a while? He just.. what... showed it to her?

I can see how that would be a bit irritating, but not to that extent.

I might have missed the point though.

*taps head* What's that rattling noise?

  • Comment number 5.

He's a big woos though. That wasn't much of a hit.

  • Comment number 6.

ok so the caretaker makes another appearance... personally I dont think its him (well i might change my mind when we see more evidence), because it would be a bit 80's movie cliche.

As for christa's reaction, It cant be easy being reminded of the life you used to have (and think you cant have anymore).

Not too sure about her acting in this scene, she looked like she was about to burst out laughing at any moment, would love to have seen the outtakes!

  • Comment number 7.

Perhaps it is nearly full moon, making her more aggressive.

  • Comment number 8.

7 - you may be right on that.. leading up to the (hopefully) transformation this weekend.

  • Comment number 9.

And what does she mean, 'your just like the rest of them'? Who are the rest?

  • Comment number 10.

    6. I thought she looked like she was dying to laugh.

I'm wondering about the janitor now, not so much in that he's the killer, but maybe he knows something. After all he is everywhere and maybe he saw something that's a big clue in what happened to Matt and he hasn't realised it's evidence to murder. Or maybe he knows exactly what he saw and is blackmailing the culprit, or just covering up for them for some unknown reason.

  • Comment number 11.

The acting was a little dodgy, she looked more amused than angry. Sounded like Adam was laughing too, though, so I won't judge :')

She is an amazing actor in the actual episodes, soo.

  • Comment number 12.

  • Comment number 13.

Curious about "the others" Christa mentioned, maybe the fact that she changed so dramatically wasn't just down to becoming a WW? I know I changed quite alot due to rubbish that people said to me in high school....

  • Comment number 14.

    11. You're right, her acting is great in the episodes and I think that maybe it's not bad at all acting after re-watching again. I think it was that at first Christa was annoyed but the way she was saying it's not funny was in that half joking kind of way when your friends are teasing you but you know it's harmless. She only got really angry and stormed off when Adam said 'Everyone finds it funny.' He may have meant it as an off-hand comment, but if Christa has had to deal with a lot of the kids talking behind her back and whatever she could take that he meant he's shown it to people and laughed at her behind her back.

Plus this is a vid Adam is shooting on his phone so Christa the character might be a little nervous whereas in the eps it's as if we're there in the room with them and it's not being filmed if you get what I'm saying.

  • Comment number 15.

    * It's not bad acting at all...

  • Comment number 16.

I don't think that was bad acting... I think she was smiling on purpose, out of disbelief, like being sarcastic.

  • Comment number 17.

That was brilliant i was just wondering why there was nobody around then the janitor makes the best appearance at the end just mopping the floor. I cant believe i actually laughed when i seen him though.

  • Comment number 18.

ok its been a while since i was at school (like 14 years!!!!), so I googled a few schools with 6th forms. All of them without fail are open for various after school clubs, sports activities (martial arts, football clubs etc) until around 8-9pm. The 6th form librarys and common rooms were also open for study in most of them until 8pm. Colleges were often all fully open until 11pm with night classes etc, but i discounted those as this is a school 6th form.

Just food for thought as to why it seems that the school is so often empty of students. It also explains why christa appears to be transforming in the school sports hall.

  • Comment number 19.

    17. I imagined the jaws theme when he first came round the corner.
That janitor. He be creeping round corners...

  • Comment number 20.

I'm usually a lurker here on the blog and I only ever posted one comment or two, but this is getting more and more itneresting. I hadn't noticed the janitor before, so thanks to all of you that pointed out the fact that there's a janitor in almost every clue they uploaded. This certainly must mean something! I agree with Gempire (10), he must've seen something the day Matt died.

Maybe when Christa says "we've been so stupid" (in next episode's preview) she could be realising how stupid they've been in not thinking about the janitor as a witness/suspect...

Also, imho those words "You're like the rest of them" can only mean that she really likes Adam, so she thought he was different from the other people making fun of her for the fact she's changed so much. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this lol

  • Comment number 21.

18 that's a good point, if she was a 'good girl' she'd be into clubs wouldn't she!
And I think she does fancy him, that's why she was so p'd off because she thought he was different, not an idiot like everyone else.

  • Comment number 22.

21 - looks like we had they same feeling about Christa's words. :)

  • Comment number 23.

Well being the "good girl" for many a year and still am (kind of I've changed A LOT in the past few months) I understand that it CAN get a bit embarressing when someone points it out. I hate when pictures of me go up on the screen.
Adam being "just like the others" would imply that she has been pluueed up on it before and been made fun of for it too.

  • Comment number 24.

    20 + 21

    Agreed.

I think that Adams reactions to the "dorks" (e.g. all the high achievers) is probably a standard reaction of the rest of the school.

It points to Christa being a bit of a social outcast or at least not part of the "in" crowd from the beginning. Add that to an obviously traumatic breakup with a boy (first boyfriend? and linked to the WW infection? ~please let it be tom from BH), becoming a WW and a new persona. She is suddenly going to be a very confused, angry, and lonely teenager. The few friends she had were probably geeks too, and will they want to continue a friendship with the new grungey "shit happens" version of Christa? Not likely.

She finally had someone she could begin to trust again, someone who knew about her secrets no matter how much she denied it and who accepted her as she was, someone who had just as much of a reason to keep her secret and who also had some level of understanding... only to go and blow her trust by behaving just like the other kids in the school.

Gotta admit it must be harsh being Christa. Adam has had 30 years to accept his condition, christa has had a few months.

  • Comment number 25.

Oh another thing that came to mind when one of you said that it is probably because she is so close to the full moon for the anger.

She is a teenager so she will be going through all the regular things and unfortunate mishaps that are magnified by the fact she is a teenager PLUS she is a girl and she does have the mood swings and "monthly" problems and now with ANOTHER "monthly" problem that she now has to deal with.

No wonder why she is annoyed and angry at her only "friend" turning on her like all the other ASBOs in waiting

  • Comment number 26.

I recckon the janitor's significant, but I hope it's not him, everyone's right it would be very cliche :\
    Poor Christa :(
I've just thought of something else... She seemed genuinely suprised that the picture was being displayed, was it put up recently? You'd think that if it was an old thing from months ago then she would have got used to it.

  • Comment number 27.

    hmmmmmmmm

  • Comment number 28.

christa was well angry. not compleetly sure why. then again she probaly felt embarassed in front of adam. i fell sorry for christa:( can't wait till next week though looks good. not sure about the cleaner in the backgroung :S

  • Comment number 29.

27 - You seem very confused or in deep deep thought

28 - Nice name I like it I take it you're another one of us that made an account purely for Being Human and Becoming Human

  • Comment number 30.

I'm commenting a ridiculous amount, sorry everyone, I keep thinking of stuff!
I think this is one of the first times we've seen Christa without a coat. Could be that she feels relaxed enough around him to wear less layers, as I think they're like a barrier between her and the rest of the world. She trust him a bit more now.
..but i'm probably reading too much into it :S Anyone else agree,

  • Comment number 31.

    29-a bit of both actually

  • Comment number 32.

adam sounded really annoyed christa hit him. do u blame her though he is a big wind up. wonder if the cleaner was meant to be there?

  • Comment number 33.

30-you could be right, and then adam teasing her probably makes her feel her trusts misplaced

  • Comment number 34.

    ANNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 35.

    annie?

  • Comment number 36.

    30 - I've been doing that too.
I think you are right. After she first changed then I think she seen herself alone so she kept to herself and kept, as you said, a barrier between her and the rest of the world but because of how much time she has spent with Adam and that they have all gotten closer and she trusts him and now HE HAS BLOWN IT.

  • Comment number 37.

    36-i agree, adam you idiot.

  • Comment number 38.

35 - ANNIE! It's you! I left a message for you on the other blog because I was so excited to see you, and then got into stalker mode to find you here. How are you?! How's life?! I've missed you!

I haven't been following this blog at all, so clearly Annie wouldn't fit with anything other than me calling out to you!

I am eating chocolate right now. =)

  • Comment number 39.

    errrrrr

  • Comment number 40.

38 - Just realised I haven't seen you around here either I am surprised to see you both :D quite happy that we have more of the regulars around here too :)

  • Comment number 41.

29- thanks. yh just made it for being/becoming human

30- i agree she uses them as a sort of defence
    luv this website

  • Comment number 42.

    errrrr

  • Comment number 43.

    30. keirawwr. I like your thinking, i hope that IS significant because that would really suit her character progression and i love symbolism. She has only ever worn that too-big-for-her coat and now shes feeling comfortable enough to be around adam without her 'shield' and he takes the piss out of her.

and to people whoare wondering about the acting and her smiling just a bit before she starts hitting him. Well, i often find that if i'm shocked or lost for words i often find that my mouth has curled up into a smile of its own accord so i thought that it was very well acted. Plus it hints at Christa liking Adam

  • Comment number 44.

40 - Confession - Not been following Becoming Human since first episode I'm afraid. I am a bad fan. Murder mystery is not my thing. (Plus I have a nightmare streaming the videos which is mainly why I gave up.) But it's nice to be here and say hello! Are you all enjoying it?

  • Comment number 45.

    intresting thoughts...

  • Comment number 46.

38: Take deep breaths and be calm :L
36 & 33: Glad you agree :D And yeah that's what I was getting at, probably more annoyed because he betrayed her trust, I mean she seemed completely indifferent when Brandy was making comments about her clothes

  • Comment number 47.

44 - youtube if you have problems with the BBC otherwise we're hoping on the 28th March it comes with the DVD or Blueray

  • Comment number 48.

47 - yes Ewan! I am awaiting the dvd extras to take me through it all with great hope and optimism. Already dutifully preordered about a month ago!

38 - bit excitable today. sorry. I freaked Annie out. I don't think she remembers me. It's been a long time!

  • Comment number 49.

Annie, I think they think that you're Annie Claire Sawyer of Being Human, in whcih case the how's life comment was a little insensitive...

  • Comment number 50.

Another reason Christa could be upset and not the liking Adam part more the fact he knows her big secret and she is getting close to accepting it herself, the fact he wont let go of her lycanthropic secret but mentions it less leaving her time and space to live with it.

The fact he waved her past in her face saying look at you. The fact he knows could scare her back into the shell of not accepting what's happened to her.

  • Comment number 51.

    lol

  • Comment number 52.

sorry that lol was for 49 not 50

  • Comment number 53.

    50- i agree

  • Comment number 54.

    50. good point, i guess whether she fancies him is open to interpretation but it's true that e was making her trust him by accepting what he was. I doubt he was deliberately trying to hurt her though, he may be 46 (or something like that :S) but bear in mind he's just stayed at home with his parents (or so it seems)since he was around 16, so he still has the social skills of a 16-year-old idiot boy.
I hope it isn't going to stop him from trusting her completely, it's nice for her to have someone who knows.

  • Comment number 55.

    *her from trustting him :S

  • Comment number 56.

26, You do have a point that Christa seemed surprised that Adam had the pic and if we go off the evidence from ep 1 that notice board is right by her locker. But if you look at all the pictures they look like You're regular official school pics. So maybe the school decided to do this achievemnet thing fairly recently and are using the photos from last picture day.

So it could be an old photo but newly put up. Plus all the photos look to be in the same condition and you'd expect some fading if one had been up longer than another.

It could be the last photo she had done before she got turned and Adam making fun of it is not what she needs.

  • Comment number 57.

its a really weird love triangle...

  • Comment number 58.

    * that should be "your" not "you're". My old English teacher would not be impressed by that slip :(

  • Comment number 59.

58- they arent on the blog (hopefully) so who cares?

  • Comment number 60.

LOL Gempire, my grammer online fails a bit as well, you're forgiven
    ^correct form of you're ;D
and yeah, maybe. I hadn't noticed how close her locker was, well done for picking up on that! I doubt the production team or budget will stretch to aging some of the pictures to be honest

  • Comment number 61.

and 57. Agreed, poor Matt doesn't have a hope!

  • Comment number 62.

I think Adam is that slightly geeky kid who thinks he's cool so he acts how he thinks the cool kids would act even if it means hurting his friends. Most of what he comes out with is trying too hard to be popular rather than realising that having one or two good friends is better than being the popular kid everyone secretly hates.

He's really hurt Christa with this and he has a lot o making up to do.

  • Comment number 63.

    wat about adam-crista?

  • Comment number 64.

I don't think that the caretaker has much to do with it be he could still be involved.
56- I agree with your photo idea
    GREAT online show!

  • Comment number 65.

The smiling thing I would put down to the satisfaction of getting to hit a pain like Adam since I do it a lot when I think of punching or slapping an idiot like him then I burst out laughing and the surrounding people (others people in my school in the area I'm in) just stare at me. Sorry rambling on about how I can relate to these things

  • Comment number 66.

63 was in response to 61

  • Comment number 67.

    i dont mind rambling 65

  • Comment number 68.

    66. I think it could happen, there's hints of it there, i think if they like each other they're going to have to both get over their considerable pride before admitting it.

  • Comment number 69.

    hmmmm any one elses thoughts?

  • Comment number 70.

59 - And if they are they won't know who I am....

60 - I'm usually lax about my grammer online but I remember my teacher drumming "your" & "you're" and "There" "Their" & "They're" into my head that I get a little panicky when I get them wrong lol.

And yeah, maybe they couldn't age the pics.

    To quote Annie, "hmmmmmmmm"

  • Comment number 71.

68 - Yeah there seems to be a hint there and the pride thing will be a BIG problem BUT what about the whole vampires hate werewolves and vise versa and the "smell"
This would be a real insult to injury for Matt.

  • Comment number 72.

71 - Unless Matt's unfinished business is to see Christa happy, even if it is with her natural enemy.

  • Comment number 73.

what if matt 'moves on' first?

  • Comment number 74.

71 - But other than that it would be an insult to Matt.

Unless they wait until after he's walked through his door.

  • Comment number 75.

71: i think he's probably resigned to the fact that him and Christa won't be happening anytime soon, as rather than think 'Hey, this could be a good time to let her kjnow that I fancy the pants off her' he tried to cover it up when the oppurtunity arose

  • Comment number 76.

72 - Hmm another one for the "Possible unfinished business" list (is the lists thing a werewolf thing is so COOL)
Strangely enough me and my friends were discussing how a vampire werewolf love relationship would make so much more a better story and twist that the Twilight thing. THIS PROVES THAT BEING HUMAN/BECOMING HUMAN PWNS ALL OTHER VAMPIRE STORIES. (or at least near enough)

  • Comment number 77.

75 - Keirawwr, good point. It was only when Matt realised that Adam was really going to kill Brandy that he admitted it, but it would still be hard for him to see her dating somebody else. Unless of course that's his UFB(Unfinished busines?!?) because if he's been watching Christa for 3 years then he's bound to realise how unhappy she's become since becoming a W/W and he wants her to be happy. Of course that doesn't necessarilly mean getting a boyfriend. It could just be to see her accept what and who she is rather than be angry at the world.

  • Comment number 78.

73,74,75 - Ok all good points and it could possibly happen if Adam is going to do as he is told and "surround himself with good people" Crista is definately a good place to start.
Another thought what will Adam and Crista do after the murder has been solved and if/when Matt goes through the door?

  • Comment number 79.

    76 Weekoony_BH, can't argue with that :D

  • Comment number 80.

77 - I never thought of the other things that would make her happy other than a relationship perhaps just something plain and simple like friends would help her and make her happy and would put Matt to peace.

  • Comment number 81.

78, I think it depends on how much of a stupid head Adam behaves over the course of the investigation. I think he could benefit from a friend like Christa, but the way he's going he's going to push her away for a few cheep laughs. Stupid boy!

  • Comment number 82.

Hey Weekoony I think we've hogged the last few posts lol.

  • Comment number 83.

81 - (just realised I'm practically having a conversation with you about this rather than it being a full on blog) Yeah a lot of people have pushed people (me!) away because they think they are funny. Adam may be mentally 16 but that doesn'r mean he can learn to grow up at the correct times. If he had said "when did you get that pupil of the month thing and what did you do to get it?" then I think she wouldn't have been so angry at him and Adam would have saved himself a beating.

  • Comment number 84.

83 - I agree. It was the way he went about it. All ha ha ha look at you in this picture ROFL

He could have just mentioned it to her, it might have worked as an icebreaker for her to talk a little of what she was like before.

  • Comment number 85.

we so need a spell check on this blog- knojw?

  • Comment number 86.

84 - If he did break the ice (which I think is about 10 feet deep) then she would be a bit happier and a bit more relaxed but now it's as if he's just frozen her over even more
(Yep hogging the posts again lol)

  • Comment number 87.

85 - typos happen since I make quite a few but I usually check my spelling on this

  • Comment number 88.

87- yeah but a spell checker could still be useful.

  • Comment number 89.

88 - it actually would since I mess up a lot due to habit

  • Comment number 90.

    88 & 89 - I think we've become too reliant on spellchecks lol

Keeping with the ice metaphor, I think Christa was starting to thaw a little to Adam and Matt but Adam just sent her right back into the iceage with the way he revealed his knowledg of the photo. Even if he did do it in a laughing manner it probs wouldn't have been so bad if he wasn't filming it too.

  • Comment number 91.

90 - You like the ice thing don't you? but the laughing manner would have had a lot to do with it because, since I feel like I'm quite similar to Crista (minus one thing), she might take this stuff quite seriously and the filming it just added to the list of things that annoy her.

  • Comment number 92.

91 - The laughing would have been enough like you said.

I still think Christa was willing to laugh it off until he said 'Everybody else finds it funny' which I think he meant as 'Get a sense of humour' but she took it to mean that he was lughing at her like everyone else.

  • Comment number 93.

92 - One of those "You're in a hole, stop digging" situations

I personally think he could have done with a bigger beating for that.

  • Comment number 94.

the janitor reminds me of the janitor in Scream - the one dressed as Freddy Krueger played by Wes Craven

  • Comment number 95.

I can see why Christa's upset. She must hate being reminded of the nice, high-achieving girl she was before the change.

I reckon the 'just like the others' remark means she's being bullied, and Adam doesn't know.

  • Comment number 96.

    hi
how weird would it be if christa went out with matt just annoy adam? i think christa should get together with adam but then what would happen to matt? adam should be trying to make it all better with christa because it is nearly the full moon and who knows what could happen then? if adam and christa did get together where would it go? i don't think adam knows much about women. he should go easy on christa she is clearly worried about the transformation. and doesn't know much about it. i think we should she a more vunerable side to her because all she has done is shut people out. who thinks christa should be with adam?

  • Comment number 97.

    oooh

completely random thought - should be asleep as i'm up for work at 4!!!

    BUT

With regards to what will Adam and Christa do when Matt moves on:
Thinking along the storylines of BH, when Annie decided to stay.... Is it possible that either the woman vamp (forgot her name - her from gavin and stacey) who attends the "dog fights" either attacks christa (simply for being a WW), or Adam (for shunning her way of life). Matt may either save christa and so move on, OR the door may already have come and he decides to stay to save adam/christa.

In fact, could matts death be linked to her in one way or another?. The hubby was a carpet salesman who travelled the uk, could he have been intending to groom matt (a loner and wouldnt really be missed by many people - thought of as a runaway), into becoming the next living blood bank?

OK OK I know, totally far fetched, but i enjoyed it!

Sorry for all the randomness lol, feel better for putting it down, even if its garbage and makes no sense!

  • Comment number 98.

    97 - Emma

  • Comment number 99.

97 - It certainly has a possibility and would tie in with the main series. But also consider when is this taking place because it's not the same timline as Being Human. So Roger?? could still be alive, not having been ripped apart by McNair yet. The couple could turn up to claim Matt as their nest blood bank since they killed the currant when Adam left them, only to find out he's dead.

That would add an interesting new dynaamic we don't have time for in 5min eps.

    Dang! :(

  • Comment number 100.

I'm off for tonight. I'll see what the rest of you have to say tomorrow. Night night x
