BBC Blogs Podcast
- 21 Dec 07, 10:40 AM
As promised, here is our first ever "podcast" (it's a download really).
The subject, "BBC blogs as accountability", might seem dry. The question I was trying to grope towards when I organised the discussion was "can the BBC use blogs to talk better to, and with, licence fee payers?".
I think the discussion is lively. There's a good description too of what BBC Backstage does. And we tried to answer some of the questions you posed in comments.
So if you're stuck for something to do over the Christmas holidays, you could do worse than give it a listen (it's half an hour long). There's a 15Mb mp3 here, or you can listen to the embedded version below (NB update 11 a.m. the embedded version seems to be running a bit slow - so use the mp3 until we sort this out).
Thanks to Matthew Cashmore for fiddling with the faders and participating. And to Giles, James, Ian and in particular to Rory Cellan-Jones for grilling us all in his typically robust fashion.
Whether we do any more will depend on feedback from you. If you want more, tell me on this post and suggest suitable topics.
I didn't get a chance to do this during the actual recording so I'd just like to say "hello!" to Ben Metcalfe.
And to Ben and to everyone whose read this blog or commented in the past couple of months, a Merry Christmas from myself and Alan.
