Cowboy Bruce

We're on our way to a remote gold mine, so we stopped in a frontier town to stock up on supplies. Shopping in one-horse towns like this is always a lot of fun. The hardware stores have everything you'd ever need in a remote place, from machetes, rope and gas-stoves to essential foodstuffs like chili sauce and crackers.
But here in the Amazon, we found something even more useful - cowboy hats. I found a good one for Bruce, which looks very authentic. He likes it so much that he's decided to wear it throughout our 11-day stay at the mine.

I admire Bruce and his crew and their commitment to tell it how it is. The first episode has dissuaded a few folk I know from ever going near cocain because of the environmental issues, and how the the poorest folk are exploited and get sod all from the huge profits of the barons who don't give a damn. I hate the oil barons and loggers with even more vehemance. This makes me so angry and sad. I wish they'd say which oil companies and which countries and companies where using the oil and wood from these delicate and beautiful environments and communities, so that I for one could avoid them. I never buy new furniture anyway, but I do use oil for heating and petrol. I would only buy from the most environmentally cosha companies if I knew and could trust who they were and who they supplied to.
Thankyou Bruce for enlightening the few who give a toss.
