This week’s Gig of the Week is a huge gig, in fact it’s a bajillion gigs all crammed under the one banner, that of Sunflower Fest 2012. Taking place in the resplendently eccentric grounds of Tubby's Farm outside of Lisburn over three days, the festival has been on an impressive upward trajectory in recent years culminating in this, their most ambitious offering yet. Headliners include the likes of Duke Special, Scroobius Pip, Dreadzone and Republic of Loose as well as a burgeoning glutton of festival friendly local produce.

We caught up with both the Wonder Villains and Pocket Billiards to get their shizzle on the fizzle...

Wonder Villains: "We've never been to Sunflowerfest before but we heard lots about it last year so we're looking forward to going. Can't wait to see Duke Special! We love him and haven't seen him play in ages. And Pocket Billiards, they always bring the party! Yeo!"

Chris Savage, front man with Pocket Billiards: "Can't wait. It's a growing festival, getting bigger and better year on year and last year was pretty nuts, so hoping the atmosphere will be just as good this time around! Looking forward to catching Jape, Scroobius Pip and Dreadzone, plus there's lots of great local talent playing too."

Sunflowerfest takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Tubbys Farm just outside of Lisburn.
