Axis of gig poster

There's always fun to be had in Derry, more than usual tomorrow (Thursday night) at Masons. Axis Of, genuine contenders to be the breakthrough band of the year, play what could well be their last 'intimate' show in that neck of the woods. It's basically a riff-off, with Lantern for a Gale, Steering Fail and Stress on the Ruin completing a pretty impressive four band bill.

Here's the thoughts of Niall Lawler's, guitarist and vocalist with Axis Of:

'After an eventful 2011, we're looking forward to getting 2012 underway with this gig. It's great to play our first gig of the year with such a strong support bill. With our album finished and ready to go we're hoping this will be a big year for us and we couldn't think of a better way to kick things off.'

So he's excited. If you're within a ten mile radius of the maiden city come tomorrow evening, you should be excited to!

Axis Of, Lantern for a Gale, Steering Fail and Stress on the Ruin play Masons, Derry tomorrow night - Thursday 9 February.
