The Black Box venue in the Cathedral Quarters in Belfast has secured funding from Belfast City Council.

Opened in 2006, the venue initially opened to fill a "temporary gap in arts provisions" and was due to close this April.

Venue organisers are also hoping other previous funders will also renew their grants to keep the venue open.
