The first Northern Ireland Music Awards took place at the Ulster Hall in Belfast last night.

The event, presented by ATL’s Rigsy, featured special performances from Stiff Little Fingers (who picked up the ‘Legends Award’), Cashier No9 (who won ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Video’), And So I Watched Your From Afar (who won ‘Best Live Act’), General Fiasco (who won ‘Best Song’ for That Age That You Start Losing Friends) and The Japanese Popstars.

And the winners are...

Best Band - Two Door Cinema Club

Best Song - General Fiasco for The Age That You Start Losing Friends

Best Solo Artist - Robyn G Shiels

Best Electronic Artist - Space Dimension Controller

Best Album - To The Death of Fun  by Cashier No.9 

Best Live Act - And So I Watch You From Afar

Best Video - Cashier No.9 for Lost at Sea

Best Festival - Glasgowbury

The Oh Yeah Legends Award - Stiff Little Fingers

The Oh Yeah Contenders Award - Wonder Villians
