Snow Patrol to perform free MTV EMA gig

Snow Patrol are to perform against the backdrop of Belfast’s City Hall as part of the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, it has been announced.



It is expected that fifteen thousand people will attend the free ticketed event, which takes place on Sunday 6th November.

The band, who have just released their sixth studio album ‘Fallen Empires’, said “We’re really looking forward to performing for the EMAs at such a special location on home-turf.  It’s going to be a great night and a lot of fun".

The performance will be beamed live into the 2011 MTV EMA’s which will be taking place simultaneously from Belfast’s Odyssey Arena – and showcased on MTV around the world.

Also performing at the City Hall event are Jason Derulo and US rock trio Boyce Avenue.  Tickets will be available at the Belfast Welcome Centre from 8am on Sunday 16th October.
