Jason Roberts

The Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts will be presenting 606 this season, starting tonight. You can follow @jasonroberts30 on Twitter

Tip for the title

Manchester United. They're special, and they're good at winning. I know it sounds a bit silly, but they simply know how to win games. They've bought some great players too, and I think they've got a good chance of dominating.

Players to look out for

I'm looking forward to seeing Ashley Young at Man United. It's a big challenge for him, but he can step up. There's also Sergio Aguero at Manchester City, and I think my old team-mate Phil Jones, who's also signed for United, has the potential to be story of the season. He'll get games because of others' injuries.

One change that would make it a better experience for fans

There could be more interaction with players, but I'm not sure what form it would take. It's hard to meet fans after the game, and you can never sign enough autographs. Whether I stick around or not depends on the result, but I definitely think players should interact more with fans.

The team I support

I'm a secret Celtic fan. I'm excited we've brought in some good players, and we played some great stuff last season. I'm a big fan of Neil Lennon, and I like the way he handled last season. Even though we didn't win the title, we made some big strides, and he's a man we can rely on. Emilio Izaguirre is an outstanding left-back, so we must keep hold of him. With another year's experience I think we'll be going for the title. I'll be up there for the Old Firm!

Earliest football memory

I watched Uncle Cyrille (Regis) play at Plough Lane against Wimbledon. I think he was playing for Coventry and he was doing really well. We were winning and someone gave him some stick. I was only seven, but I ended up staring him out for about 10 minutes.

Guaranteed headline

'Balotelli Doesn't Like Manchester.' It's definitely going to keep raining there.

Advice for footballers who use Twitter

As long as you understand that the whole world can see what you write, you know you cant communicate on Twitter the way you'd talk to a friend. Bear in mind you're going to be quoted. But it's a great way to interact with fans and be in contact with people who are interested in you and your career.

  • Comment number 1.

I'm really glad about Jason doing 606,he is great, but the programme still encourages Premiership exclusivity and it would be nice to have someone from the League or Championship ALSO signed up for this role on 606.

    Best of luck Jason.

  • Comment number 2.

I'm really glad Jason is doing 606 because once a Gashead always a gashead. Great partnership with Nathan Ellington mate and with Jamie Cureton in support we were treated to lots of fine goals.
Now I wonder if you - or anyone else out there - can tell me the last time a team fielded 10 new players making their debut as Bristol Rovers did last Saturday at AFC Wimbledon ? Has anyone ever completed the full sweep ?

  • Comment number 3.

I see the other blog about 6-0-6 has been closed as the comments on it were all anti Five Live and in particular, anti the co host. Let's hope the Five Live management start to take notice. Roberts was good ... a refreshing change.
