As Graham's last blog post here mentioned - we were on the telly last night! A Day in the Live - 5 live's new TV trail went out last night on BBC One. It's the first in a week-long series of trails going out on the same day they were filmed - which are designed to provide an insight into what we do to bring live news, sport and entertainment to the nation.

I hope you enjoy - and keep your eye out on BBC TV for the second in the series tonight. We'll be on just before Eastenders at around 7.27pm and just after Wonders of the Universe on BBC Two at about 8pm this evening (amongst others).

The only highlight that could be found from Bacon’s show was him saying he had a cold and coughing? Well that is going really going to encourage people to tune in.

  • Comment number 2.

It reflected the light and shade of 5Live but if I had never heard the station I wouldn't be persuaded that it was my cup of tea, as one of those snippets was a bit iffy to say the least.

    VD - back, heavily made-up, then-off

wish bacon wouldn't exagerate. Flu? my Eye! he has a cold a sniffle - if it was flu he wouldn't be able to get out of bed let alone blether away for hours into a mike.

It struck me how ill the presenters all looked.Victoria in particular. What are they taking ?

Btw good to see Victoria Derbyshire once again ( although not looking at all well ) with her irritating and annoying habit of interrupting her interviewee even on a TV trail.Somethings never change at 5live.

Will you be using Geoff Boycott's fascinating and novel insights into the causes of mental illness as aired on Breakfast this morning in tonight's advert? Or will you instead show the editorial meeting at which there was a discussion about which expert to use to comment on the issue and some genius said "I know, we'll use Geoff Boycott", to which everyone else said: "What a great idea!"?

  • Comment number 8.

They all look as though they are all suffering from a severe and unhealthy lack of sunlight .Perhaps the Manchester air will do them good ? That is the ones they can persuade to go with sweetners. Not a very flattering tv trail.
