A dry and clear start the night allowing mist and fog to form. Fog likely to become widespread and locally dense before dawn, especially in rural areas. Winds falling calm overnight.

Friday:
Fog is likely to linger in places through the day. Where the fog does lift it will remain mostly dull and cloudy and cold.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Remaining settled and dry but rather cold through the period with overnight frosts. Fog patches also likely to form overnight and may be slow to lift through the days.
