Harry
Seager RBSA, has been based in Stourbridge throughout his career.
He's been making sculptures since the 1960's and was one of the
first artists to use plate glass stacked to achieve volume, thus
linking his work to architecture - a pioneering move.

His
creations incorporate glass, metal, wood and Perspex and the new
exhibition will feature works that span his career.
Harry
has exhibited throughout the UK and internationally, including several
solo shows in London.
He
has completed many commissions, such as a series of installations
at the Hilton Hotel Park Lane London, and has sculptures in several
prestigious collections, including two works in the Victoria &
Albert Museum, London.

'Wave'
one of his V & A pieces will be among the works included in
his retrospective exhibition 'Harry Seager: Glass Structures' -
to be held at the Broadfield House Glass Museum in Kingswinford.

has been over twenty years since an exhibition focusing on Harry
Seager's work has been held in the West Midlands.

wanted to show how his work has been at the forefront of sculptural
glass for the past forty years."

Harry
Seager: Glass Structures runs from 15th January to 8th May 2005
at Broadfield House Glass Museum on Compton Drive, Kingswinford,
West Midlands.
It
is open 12 noon to 4pm every day except Mondays and admission is
free.
