City of Wolverhampton Show 2009

Monster trucks, flying motorbikes, parachute displays and a mini zoo are just some of the attractions coming to West Park over the weekend of 11th July 2009.

Tens of thousands are expected to head to the annual summer extravaganza that's packed with animals, plants, arts and crafts.

A free weekend out for all, arena attractions include: Big Pete (Monster Truck), Royal Artillery Parachute Display Team (The Black Knights), James Dylan's Stunt World, The Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team (The Flying Gunners), Gerard Naprous & the Devil's Horsemen and Gus Dermody from BBC2's "One Man and His Dog".

For the first time this year, a mini zoo will form part of line-up, featuring snakes, lizards, spiders, scorpions, hissing cockroaches and giant snails as well as birds of prey displays.

A giant funfair, trade stalls, a craft fayre and the West Midlands Fuchsia Show will also be open and you'll have a chance to meet your favourite BBC WM presenters on the BBC Bus.

BBC WM's Joanne Malin will be on hand on Saturday from 2.30-4.00pm, Danny Kelly on Sunday from 12.30-2.30pm and Wolves fan and Soul & Motown host Jenny Wilkes will be in the thick of things all weekend.

The City of Wolverhampton Show 2009 takes place from 11.30am - 6.00pm on 11th and 12th July 2009. Entrance is free.
