Rising star Dan has been receiving airplay on various music programmes recently, including with BBC WM's Janice Long and BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson.

In fact, it was his exposure with Tom that led to the inspiration for the songs on the trio of EP's he has coming out in 2009.

"Tom picked up a song I'd recorded last Autumn," Dan explains. "He played it and really liked it and after that invited me to take part in a songwriting retreat in the countryside in Kent in a manor with several other musicians.

"It was a really fun weekend. Tom was a great mentor who shared lots of stories and experience. On the last night we did a show for everyone who was there. I wrote about 15 songs that weekend and have now 21 songs in total that I'm releasing on three EP's over 2009 - called The Balloon, The Bubble and The Box."
