The Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line connects the two cities.

On a dry morning in September 2007 he joined the canal at Wolverhampton city centre, and cycled through Coseley Tunnel, past Tipton Green and Toll End Canals and beneath Smethwick's Galton Bridge before reaching The Mailbox in Birmingham.

Before cycling on some towpaths owned by British Waterways, you will usually need to obtain a free cycle permit.
