Hi there!
 | | By David Rann |
My name is Caroline 7 and I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Walsall. I have been writing songs and playing a thought-provoking blend of acoustic rock and folk music for over ten years. I started playing guitar during school and formed a trio with a saxophonist and a drummer. By the time I got to uni I'd lost touch with them but my interest in playing and performing only grew. I went along for an audition at a small radio station for free singing lessons. I got chatting to a friend there who told me that she was going to an open-mike night at the Halfway House in Wolverhampton. She asked me to come along with my guitar and have a go. A good response

I went and tried and got a really good response so decided to keep playing in pubs. Since that time, I've had the pleasure of playing in the likes of the Little Civic, Bescot Stadium in Walsall and the Birmingham NEC. Some of my favourite gigs have been at the Wharf 10 bar in Walsall and the Robin 2 in Bilston. They're two completely different venues but the atmosphere is always fantastic! I've also had several slots on some local radio stations, such as BBC WM and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. I've made it to the semi-finals of the South Coast Idol in Bath on March 23rd. As an outsider to the area, I don't expect to have the homefield advantage in terms of audience support but given that East 17 are in the finals of the competition I'm really excited! Playing and performing

I love playing and performing and would like to produce a full length album and travel promoting it. I'd also love to meet up with other local musicians and see what we could do together. You can see and hear me through my website at www.caroline7.co.uk. Drop me an e-mail if you fancy a jam and, who knows, we could soon be entertaining the crowds in the Black Country together! |
