The more I follow his solo career {post Zep} I begin to realize that Robert is more than just a great musician singer songwriter he is a great humanitarian. His love for life culture and people always amaze me. Our 4 and 8 year old love the music of Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant, although it is difficult fighting off their peer presure for Britney spears and Shakira

Robert has always had the magic...lets just say he's more "in-tune" w/ his magick these days :O)

Last time I've heard Robert was on his concert with Strange Sensation in Pordenone, Italy , 29.November 2005. I've travelled from Zagreb(Croatia)more than 300 km to see him again on concert , and, believe me, it was worthwhile. I was completely mesmerized by his voice, music and appearance, as it was a vast majority of the audience. Just the same as I was on my first concert of Led Zeppelin in London 1971.

Yes, Robert Plant has imagination and creativity. He kows how to express it and do so in great album form. Wonder where he learned how to do that?
As for the reformation? What reformation? Play together but do not reform. Don't make a big deal and tour the world if you don't want to. Of course everyone will call it Led Zeppelin. But use a special occasion. Live Aid, Atlantics 40th and The HOF were special occasions. Half a dozen concerts in the US and UK and Europe will do wonders. With DVD and digital transmission now, the music will be available to all to buy or record otherwise if not released. The publicity would be awesome to whatever charity (charities) they could use as a reason.
New material? Hell if you combine the JPJ album (musically the most Zep like of the three and a real drum and bass flare up), the Coverdale Page album (best rock guitar structures, possibly ever) and the Fate Of Nations (lyrical and soulful atmosphere); if these elements had been combined in 1993, the 90s would have been dominated by this series of albums, well if they were called Led Zeppelin and featured you know who...
Still, its not too late to mightily rearrange and feed this starving relationship.
Otherwise, these musicians can all play, write and sing terrific music, the Zep rock fusion, so unique and so special.
They're still breaking barriers. I've known kids in single didgit ages be familar with Zeppelin. 25 years after the event.
Still, if none of this is on the cards, Robert please come back to visit and play in NZ.

Robert is the best and will always be the best. He needs to get back with jimmy because when the two of them get together its magic. Led Zeppelin are the gods of rock and roll and are hands down the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Robert your are the greatest of all time you can do it.
Tjay
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band in the history of time, and Robert Plant IS Led Zeppelin. Think about it. Would Jimmy Page have been able to find a better vocalist for the band when he was putting it together? His voice is the Zeppelin trademark. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool. If it weren't for Plant, I wouldn't like Zeppelin NEAR as much. Plant IS Zeppelin. ZEPPELIN RULES!!!!
lorelie
thank you for all your music has given me over the years, emotionally and creatively.and the fulfillment and happiness you are enjoying from your career is well deserved... the new cd is awesome hope to see you in boston again soon thanks again take care

He has the magic, he has spirituality, he has beauty painted all over him... What a man, what a spirit, what a voice.
He's so inspirering in all ways.
I love Led Zep and I love Mighty Rearranger - and "Dreamland" as well.
He seems to me to be a very honest, openminded, focused and "able to move on" artist, shining brighter than ever.
rose tornell
He still has the magic. I so him i Norway some time ago with his new band. And he was fantastic, even better then before. And then you should know I saw him first time in 1970.
Victoria Q
I saw the Golden God when he played here in Toronto in July. Best night of my life. The man has still got it and is and always will be The Golden God!
Denise from Italy
I'm a big ZEP fan and...Yeah! I think that Robert still have lot of magic, energy and beauty! He's still the greatest singer of the world!
Sean
Absolutely, Led Zep should reunite. Even if its just for concert. I think this may be the one band that would be able to come back and be jsut as good if not better. They like no other band adapted to new music and continued to evolve as music did. Robert Plant is the greatest singer and Jimmy the best at what he does. Despite their past, I think these members could still continue to evole and create.
michele zegen
I had the honor of seeing plant in oct in dallas, tx and let me tell you...plant is the king...end of story
elaine from NY
Robert's "magic" continues to astound. It's never been does he "still have it?" - he never "lost it" EVER! Almost saw him for the tenth time in Connecticut in June 2005, show was cancelled! Met him in 1990 - fabulous! Robert is, indeed, The Mighty Rearranger...
Amy C
I am a big Zeppelin fan. I think it is great that teenagers like me can be into this music that was made long before we were born. I still love Robert music. He still has 'it'. The new album is amazing and powerful. I will remain a Zep and Robert fan for the rest of my life.
Alan Cooper,Brierley Hill
I saw Robert at the Wolverhamtopton Civic on 13/12/05 it was a suprise christmas pressant from my son and it was certainly a gift to see him he was amazing, he still has what it takes and the Zep numbers were fantastic so was the atmosphere.
Keith Gilbert
Plant is a legend. Period.

Eileen Moore
I think he is more magical now, than ever! I've seen him 3x's on the MR tour in the US. I can't get enough!! He's spiritual
?
Robert plant is the best!!!! I bought his new cd and I cant stop listening to it!!!It's great!!!!I'm looking forward to his next cd.
Ruth Nicholas
Was at the Wolverhampton gig Robert Plant is still the most beautifull man I have ever seen and heard. Gives me goose bumps thinking about him.
John Dennison, Coatbridge
Plant is an absolute legend. His new band are amazing, and he plays Led Zeppelin songs with different styles and arrangements which sound fantastic. By refusing to put Zep back together, he can do his own thing and that deserves a lot of praise when you consider so many other older bands get together and its just nostalgia while charging a small fortune for tickets. Robert can play new material and play smaller venues which keeps it fresh and exciting for not only him, but a new generation of zep fans like me.
joe lizewski
yes Robert live in concert puts on one of the best shows i have seen ,
He keeps music fresh and can still sing better then almost anyone in rock today
Silvna
I saw Robert Plant for the first time, with Strange Sensation, it was the most magical moment. I really admire him of the fact that he moved forward musically.
He still has the looks and the talent, and I hope to meet him someday to tell him how I appreciate his music he does with S.S.
Bjørn Oddvang Mo i Rana Norway
I saw him two shows in Dublin a week ago , and it was two of my top ten concerts ever, and I have seen a lot of concerts in my lifetime.
Just fantastic
Lynn from Norway
Robert has a ageless power and sensuality about him, which pared to his great gifted talent of singing and making intelligent music makes him magic, like he's always been.
sean ledington
Went to the two nights at Wolverhampton and i think it's the best he's ever played and i've seen a lot of his shows from Glasgow to Cradley Heath! he seems to be enjoying it and the band are fantastic musicians.
Jerry from New jersey
yes, he is still a guiding light, he is always ahead of the pack. Along with Bowie, and j.P.Jones he always tries to be current in a real manner, not trendy.
Janey
Saw Robert and Strange Sensation in Bristol on Dec 7 (front row!! still can't believe my luck)
Those two great hours are still with me. Thanks for that.
Steve
I believe I missed a great night, still it will teach me not to fill up my car with petrol instead of diesel!!! may be a couple of extra dates in the new year Robert?
Jill
Saw the two gigs at Wolverhampton and WOW he blew the crowd away. The atmosphere was incredible. They weaved this intense, gorgeous music with unusual elements that really shouldn't work together but in fact created a beautiful cohesive explosion of excitement. The voice is mellow and delicious now but as he demonstrated he can still scream the high notes when he wants to. Oh and he can move a bit too!!!
James Lamond
yes he does. if you don't believe me go and watch him. it's just a shame the crowd all had arthritis or something and couldn't move their feet, come on people, robert plant, you haver to at least shuffle!
Ash Babe
Lifelong Led Zep fan, and yes, hes still got the magic, you bettcha! Thanks Robert for the wonderful new album, Trip Hop meets Rock, its becoming an addiction, and thanks for the great gig in Dublin, only wish I could have met you, like all your fans wish. Love the tongue in cheek 'hoochy coochy man' style....Excellent! Agree with all who say you don't get enough recognition.
pauline lucy bowen
A lifelong fan, yes he has still got the magic, he is an amazing singer and will always be very very special.
Thank You
As Robert says, "He's moving right along....Like This!" He has moved forward while taking an occasional moment to look back. Thank goodness! Robert and Strange Sensation are amazing. Thanks to them for giving the world a gift from their hearts and souls. Keep rockin' guys!
World Music Fan
The fact that followers still travel half way across the world to catch a performance, says it all!
Shelia Llibby
Robert Plant-Do a Led Zeppelin Fund Raiser Concert at Giants Stadium, and donate all the proceeds to The Hurricane Katrina Survivor Fund. Talk about a BIG way, to give back to the Old The Delata Blues - Where it ALL began..
Wallace, M
I have to agree with Richard K here. An artist no matter how great, has to explore other things, be it solo career etc..No one expects these guys to have a reunion tour or a drawn out Led Zep tour. However if Led Zep did create a global following, and mankind still demands it, then I agree, with the fact that with modern technology, a one time pay per view thing would due the trick. No one wants them to dress the same, or act the same either...that would be lame... Just relax, and be themselves as they are today. Then everbody would finally shut up.....
Anamcara
Robert Plant certainly deserves more recognition for his contribution to music over the last thirty five (plus) years than he has received in the past. The man has real talent: "Mighty Rearranger" is a wonderfully textured album which takes the listener to some very exciting musical places. However, no matter how great his recordings are, there is nothing to beat hearing Robert Plant live and being absolutely blown away by his voice, his stage-presence and by the fantastic group of musicians with whom he shares the stage. I love his entire innovative approach to music and his sense of integrity both in musical terms and in the way he views life in general. For the sake of good music,he must(to quote another Robert) "keep on keepin' on" for as long as possible.
Paul Moore
Great album ,Great Music - but still hasn't played Belfast !
Eva H.
There´s nothing more to say than "Thanks, Robert!" ;-) Especially for great show in Prague (8 April 2005). E.

I have had the great fortune of seeing Robert many times (7) this year...thanks to some good scheduling. I saw him and Strange Sensation at SXSW in Austin and then several times more. Mighty Rearranger is extraordinary and the Led Zep rearrangements are also amazing. Uniquely his own and with a very personal touch. I have watched and heard Robert and SS become "match tough" an appropriate tennis term I believe, and they just keep getting better. I have been completely enchanted by the music he is creating now. It just gets better and better. How wonderful is that this seminal artist keeps doing such defining and thoughtful music.
Richard Ingram
Robert plant deserves much greater recognition, not only for his olympian achievements with Led Zep, but also for his diverse and groundbreaking solo work. I can't think of any 50-something millionaire recording artist that could produce an album as urgently contemporary as Mighty Rearranger. Why waste time backslapping McCartney and Jagger, when we should all be enjoying a comparable talent that still delivers?
Dianna
He is every bit as good and hot... as he was in the beginning
Jabo
The past is what has gotten him to where he is today. Don't turn away from it, embrace it just one more time. Cream, the Stones, the Who, etc have all given their fans what they want. Just one more time before I die.....please!!
S Saito
A Japanese Led Zep-head.
Robert still has the energy to challenge his music.
(sometimes he got lost in the music scene.
Sorry for my poor English.
Dogfish
LZ were brilliant - no doubt. Being a Rob fan since i was 7 (1970), his latest album is the best of his post-zep recordings - it'd go down as a classic if people would forget his past for long enough to listen with "fresh" ears. I'm not one-eyed and it continues to blow me away.....i'm proud of the boy!
saw every boston p/p gig.
They got better every gig, 5 in all 1995-98. Lucky me!!
julia111
He has a true magical gift. Its a talent that cant just vanish.I think he could still put on thoose same old tight wonderful jeans and it would be freshing, and a delight for all of his oppressed female fans!!
Richard Kennedy
The solo work is excellent, however, we are in an age where old is new again and accepted with great admiration. There is no reason why Plant, Page, Jones, and Jason Bonham, couldn't explore new avenues together, as well as reworking L.Z. stuff. Since when did these guys start putting up walls, as to why things should or shouldn't be done anymore. Those guys were always progressive, and broke all the rules. And now all of a sudden its "inapprorpriate" to break the rules again, and do something Radical?? They are too old maybe?? To Sophisticated?? Its all Beneath them now?? Yawn Yawn?? Led Who?? Nonsense..!!
I believe its insulting to John Bonham, that his son Jason is here, and available, and capable of playing, and is "THE ONLY REASON" why Led Zep could ever justify playing together again.
Should Plant and Jones and Page venture off to do their own thing? Off course-all artists have to explore new things..and it does have it's Magical..but..
there is no reason with the technology available today, that an "occasional" Led Zep concert, couldnt be played in Madison Square Garden, and be broadcast pay per view Globally to appease mankind..It is not a jukebox! -it is a clarification of timeless legend- Im talking year 2006 Zeppelin Baby!! Think about it..
Oh and by the way, Im only 19....
Mark
He's managed to bridge the gap between the past and the future. That's got to be a new magic.
Isabel Gaspar
Led Zeppelin were a milestone in the world's music history. Nothing would ever have been the same if they hadn't existed. Their music's been with me in my best and my worst times and has helped me keep my inner balance. All I can say is thank you, guys! Robert is that special frontman no one will ever forget. Even now he's sure to send you shivers down your spine. Thank you, too, Robert, the one and only.
Sam Greenspon
yes he still has the magic. always will have the magic.
loved the north american tour this summer - caught 5 gigs, all great.
forever a fan....
and thanks bbc for putting up the interview.
John R.
I love all the interesting paths Robert with his solo career. Led Zeppelin will never die, so it's interesting to think that it needs to be brought back to life with some sort of reunion tour. While I wouldn't turn my nose up to such a thing, it's only something that should be done with a common sense of purpose between the three surviving members, and a sense of dignity intact.
Unfortunately, that might be impossible, the way the world works today.
I look forward to more from Robert, Jimmy and John Paul in the future!
Redbug
Sure he has the magic. His albums are getting better & better....just go and see him live.... Wolverhampton on Monday , can't wait.
Bal
I agree with Luis.Led Zep was great but that is in the past...Robert still has the magic. So has Jimmy and JP.They have all proved it.We dont want you to put on the same jeans Robert ...You stick with cullottes if you want to !
Luis
Leave the legend alone!!!
