Introduction

The Enquiry Skills section of your Standard Grade History course is worth 60% of your overall grade. Therefore, it is very important that you have a good understanding of what the Enquiry Skills are and what Enquiry Skills questions are all about.

Basically it’s all about using and understanding sources. It's not brain surgery but a lot of it will be new to you. Most of it is common sense and the way the questions are worded will point you in the right direction. The most important thing to remember when attempting Enquiry Skills questions is to READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY. It really is that simple!
