This Revision Bite will allow you to practise reading and understanding Gaelic. In this subsection, we’ll pay particular attention to Holidays.

Holidays

An advert calls our attention to something and it has its own techniques.

  • Very often the information is given in single words or phrases rather than sentences.

  • Sometimes there are catchy slogans.

  • Sometimes there are bullet-pointed lists of information.

  • Very often there are graphics which support the text.

  • Very often some words are in big or bold fonts.
