Useful tips

Estimate first and check afterwards.
It's a good idea to estimate a rough answer first. And always check your actual answer.

Multiplication and division are opposites.
For example, 8 x 6 = 48 and 48 ÷ 6 = 8.

The order in which you multiply numbers doesn't matter.
28 x 4 x 16 is just the same as 4 x 16 x 28.
