In 1995 Birmingham City Council set a target to increase cycle use in Birmingham from 1.5% to 5% by the year 2005. This target is being supported by the on-going implementation of the strategic Cycle Route Network. By 1995 60km of the Network was in place. Widespread traffic calming throughout the City is also making the roads safer for cyclists.

There are a number of cycle routes in the city of Birmingham, here are three of the main routes;

0 CURRENT ROUTES
Route 1 Moseley to Birmingham University
Route 2 City centre route - Ward End
Route 3 East Birmingham Routes
