The play which inspired the musical My Fair Lady is coming to the Crescent.

Henry Higgins is the Pygmalion figure who belives he can transform Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower firl, into a duchess at ease in polite society. The one thing he overlooks is the fact that his 'creation' has a mind of her own.

Pygmalion delighted and scandalised its first audiences in 1914 - it is a reworking of the classical tale of the sculptor who falls in love with his perfect female statue. It was also Goerge Bernard Shaw's criticism of the British class system.

Tickets are available from the box office - see details on the left.
