Squeeze
into your fishnets and burst out of your corset as you warble, with
hundreds of others: 'Sweet Transvestite', 'Whatever Happened To
Saturday Night?', 'Science Fiction Double Feature', 'Toucha Toucha
Touch Me' and, of course - 'The Time Warp'.
Made
in 1975, the RHPS film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Richard
O'Brien and Meatloaf. The show at the Alex is a spin off from Sing-a-long-a
Sound of Music. The format has also been used for Fiddler on the
Roof, Moulin Rouge, Annie, The Wizard of Oz and Joseph and His Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat - which is also coming to Birmingham (click
here for more).

Fancy
dress
It's
not compulsory to dress up but many people do. Dip into the wardrobe
of your imagination - there is a competition for the best outfit.
Time to fish out your suspenders!
The
warm-up
There
is a half-hour pre-film show during which the host leads you through
a vocal warm-up, prepares you for the film and judges the fancy
dress competition. Everyone receives a goody bag with special props!
Warning:
it's a bit rude!
The
Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 12 certificate film in the UK and
so you can only attend if you are 12 or older. The film is rather
naughty and may not be suitable for the faint-hearted (or prudish).
