Hey there all you Brummies, I just wanted to say a huge 'thank you' to you all for attending the Reggae Rockz performance on Sunday aswell as the Artsfest weekend. It was brilliant to see you all bopping along in the rain to the classics provided by our wonderful performers on stage. It was great to be a part of this wonderful project and I have met some fab peeps and gained great experience. Thank you to all those who made it possible (you know who you all are hehehe)and hope to see more of these great shows in the future! Take care, Lena p.s Sorry I forgot to mention that I was stage manager for Reggae Rockz

Mya

Hi I am alex stage manager for Reggae The Musical Journey, project co-ordinator for Reggae Rockz and performer in Gabbidon- Steel Pulse All Stars. I have got to say it is great to read all the wonderfull messages from all you guys who attended the day and evening events. I am sure that you are just as proud as I am of our city to be able to produce such a high standard of events. Birmingham will be posted firmly on the culture and entertainment map now, we need to lift the profile of our musical history and spead it all over the world. Peace and once again thank you all Alex

Another great arts festival. Not a brilliant turn out this year compared to before. but still a good festival. Particularly enjoyed the movements and music by Aashiyana Dance Company. The Reggae Rocks festival was well organsied, a shame there was limited performance time. Apache Indian was good. Impressive live performance. Lets have more festivals like this!

Sarah
i played in the brass band and thought the day went very well, i really enjoyed playing on stage and we had a great response to our selection of music.

Neil Mitchell
Great weekend, shame about the weather for the outside evening venues. Looking forward to Artsfest #7 already!

darren
hi loved artsfest however next yr it might be even better if large billboard type adverts were placed in and around the city maybe in local parks?

Linda Gresham
Well done and thanks to Birmingham City Council for yet another fantastic artsfest. We come every year and love the atmosphere everywhere and the opportunity to attend so many diverse events. i particularly commend the organisational skills as all the events start and finish on time - no mean achievment. it is a shame, though, that it can clash with the Heritage weekend. can this be considered for future dates?

Ruth Vaughan
"Osadia" made a welcome return to Artsfest; their hair creations were as wacky as ever. "The History of Reggae" show at the Symphony Hall was wonderful and very moving. "The Birmingham Philamonic's" rehearsal of Schubert's Unfinished Symphony was very educational and inspiring.

Adrian
The childrens carnival parade was a delight, wonderful to see families taking part and thoughly enjoying themselves.Well done Birmingham.

Pete G
The Samba band 'Someone at the Door' are a delight, lots of colour, smiles and great music.....a joy to watch. Thanks guys.

Tally
Wicked night in Centenary Square, cool to see Birmingham bands like trio Gitano and Soweto Kinch bringing some life back to brum's music scene

Matt
Great night. No pictures of the Beat?

Paul
Reggae rockz was fantastic, shame it was limited by time for each artist. It's easy to forget how many famous Brummies there are in the music industry. A big thanks to the organisers. It such a pity the weather kept the crowds down.

Michelle
Would be good to have a plan showing where the stalls are located. Also, a list of all having stalls , like the list of performers, would be good. Could you list the workshop in with the events? A workshop IS an event. Thanks

KIA
THEY ARE NEVER GONNA TOP LAST YEARS!!!!

Ellen
There are so many events on we're having trouble deciding what to do. Anyone have a good strategy they can share with me??

Katie
What's with the rain?! The weather's been so great all week :-(
