Why bother buying your own fireworks when you can experience a professional, fully organised 'safe' event?

Events celebrating Bonfire night in Birmingham this year cater for all audiences. For those of you that prefer the traditional bonfire and firework display - Pype Hayes is the official venue organised by Birmingham City Council.

There’s plenty to do before the fireworks start, with music and dance, a funfair with white-knuckle rides and the lighting of the bonfire.

Date: Wednesday 5 November

Venue: Pype Hayes Park, North Birmingham

Tickets: On Gate: £4 (Adults) £3 (conc).
No tickets available in advance; arrive early to buy tickets and avoid queues.


5.30pm: Gates/funfair/roadshow open
7.00pm: Bonfire lighting
8.00pm: Fireworks
10.30pm: Funfair and event ends

Travelling to the event

Birmingham City Council has organised special free Travel West Midlands shuttle buses to take firework fans to one of the biggest, best and safest fireworks displays at Pype Hayes Park, Erdington Wednesday 5th November.

The free shuttle buses will transport people from the free event car park at The Fort Shopping Centre (marked on the number 68 stop) to the, Bagot Arms Pub, Chester Road, (marked as number 67 stop). First pick up is 5pm and last returning journey from Bagot Arms to The Fort is 11pm.

The normal bus services to the park are numbers 28, 67, and the 114 for which standard rates apply.

Special note

Any fireworks (including sparklers) taken to the above events will be confiscated and destroyed. Also no dogs are allowed, except for guide dogs.
