Venturing where others fear to tread, Fierce! is a performing arts festival. Roaming freely across the West Midlands, popping up in hotels, gentlemen’s clubs and ordinary houses, as well as galleries and theatres.

Calling Every Angel
Calling Every Angel

Featuring everything from contemporary dance to sonic terror, the selection of new work for 2003 is the most ambitious and eclectic yet.

As well as providing a platform for regional talent Fierce! has a truly international flavour, with visitors from the USA, Norway, Denmark, and Germany.

Highly original, the festival ranges from provocative acts to quiet contemplative pieces.

The Custard Factory in Birmingham
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Coventry
Howard Johnson Hote in West Bromwich
The Light House Media Centre, Wolverhampton The mac in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham The Nightingale Club in Birmingham
The Patrick Centre at the Hippodrome
St. Pauls Gallery, Birmingham
The Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick

Contributing artists include Lydia Lunch, Granhøj Dans, Gob Squad, Joshua Sofaer, Ron Athey, Zero Visibility, La Ribot, Leslie Hill, Helen Paris and Robin Deacon.

Fierce! features cutting-edge dance, art, design under hypnosis, sonic terror, taboo-busting spoken word and late-night voyeurism.
