'Sisters in Film' at the Drum in Birmingham, on Saturday 22nd March 2003, is an evening of short UK films featuring some of the most talented actors on our shores.

Many of the actors you will recognise from your favourite TV dramas and soaps including, Rudolph Walker (Patrick, BBC Eastenders), Dona Croll (Pearl, Channel 5, Family Affairs) and more...

Wil Johnson- Beres in BBC Babyfather

On the night you will also get the chance to put your questions to actors, Wil Johnson ( BBC drama Babyfather) and Troy Titus-Adams ( Ex Eastenders) in a live
Q & A session.

 

Films on the night include:-

Cherish - directed by Wyanta Yohannes

Cherish's life gets turned upside down by the sudden arrival of her father whom she has never met.

Actors: Rudolph Walker (Patrick in BBC 1, Eastenders) and Dona Croll ( Pearl in Channel 5, Family Affairs).

Distinction - directed by Avril Russell

A secret spy network run by black women who have been spying on the world governments for over 20 years.

Actors: Ellen Thomas (Channel 4, Teachers) and Marianne Jean-Baptise (Film - Secrets and Lies).

Ruby's slippers - directed by Stephen Rudder

Two middle-aged sisters rake up childhood memories that have been left to fester.

Actors: Natasha Williams and Kezdan Jordan.

Target - directed by Dee Adams, co-produced by Troy Titus-Adams and Chris Rayner collectively known as Heavy Soul Ltd

The friendship of 2 professional assassins is put to the test.

Actors: Troy Titus-Adams (Nina, BBC Eastenders) Wil Johnson (Beres, BBC Babyfather).

In Celebration of My Sisters
Sisters in Film is part of the 'In Celebration of My Sisters festival taking place this month which includes workshops and events across London and Birmingham.
