Brian

Brian
has won numerous awards and has had his work shown around the world.
He said: "I left the city in 1969, so this is a very special home-coming
for me. I've not taken pictures in Birmingham for a long time and
I am amazed at the energy of the place, both in its physical development
and the aspirations of the people who live here.
Tom Merilion left Birmingham twelve years ago, to pursue his career
making film commercials and music video productions.
"The landscape around Birmingham has long interested me and I have
been photographing it for many years. Looking down on the city from
the air, you really get a sense of how Birmingham has progressed
and the impact regeneration is having on the physical environment,"
said Tom.
When commissioned to do the exhibition, Brian and Tom had to portray
the true image of Birmingham and the West Midlands - one of diversity,
innovation and vibrancy.
