It's finally here! Brum's answer to the London Eye is finally in place in Centenary Square and open to the public from 8pm on Thursday 6th November 2003.

Birmingham Wheel
Birmingham Wheel

The huge 60 metre wheel has been borrowed from Paris where it stood for three years.

Now Brummies can get a stunning bird's eye view of the city of Birmingham and beyond, from almost 60 metres above the ground.

You'll need to be quick to see the awesome views of Birmingham's ever changing skyline - the wheel is only in place until the end of January.

If you're not too keen on heights, fear not. You can see our amazing pictures of the wheel and the views across the city from the highest point without taking your feet off the ground.
